How To Fix Sound Problem in Windows 7 - Two Simple Fixes

To Fix Sound Problem in Windows 7 , please try these two simple methods:
Method 1 : Please go to Control Panel and open ‘Device Manager’ - Locate “Sound, Video and Game Controller’ - Right click on your device’s sound card and click on ‘Update driver software…” - install the updates if available - if not, please right click on your sound card and then click ‘Uninstall’ - close all windows and restart your computer - After restart, Windows will automatically install the uninstalled drivers. And now check the sound. If this didn’t work, please try this second method:
Method 2: Click on start menu - search for ‘Services’ - Open ‘Services’ and locate ‘ Windows Audio’ - right click on it and open ‘Properties’ - click on fourth tab ‘Dependencies’ and please note down the three services written there. And now, locate those three services in the list of services and right click each and select ‘Start’ if they are not started already. Now, double click on ‘Windows Audio’ service - change startup type to ‘Automatic’ and click ‘Start’ - ‘Apply’ - ‘OK’.

If your sound problem is no sound at all, the videos are pretty hard to follow. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! my computer was saying that I had another device connected so my speakers were already in use. That wasnt true! I couldnt find any other update when using method 1, so I, after some hesitation, uninstalled, and shut down the computer, and then it worked immediately with restarting. 1st method worked perfectly on my 10 year old Toshiba windows 7 laptop, was reluctant to uninstall the driver now windows 7 isnt supported but it worked a charm.. thanks so much !

Thank you for these tips, though for the second one, it's rather just easy to right click "Multimedia Class Scheduler" and press Restart, it's gonna restart all your audios, but then it will also clear them. Very helpful though!

if youdon t like having to do things yourself go get a MAC or upgrade to windows 10 with a million downloads to make everything easier for you

THANK YOU! I had to go with the Method 2. Remote Procedure Call (RPC) was not started. But that didn't work. BUT! I set my audio to default on my "Speakers" and that did the trick, IT WORKED.
