So exposure didn't turn them gay, exposure just unlocked what they already were, and were conditioned to not recognise earlier in life.

In the "gay man" sentence, there are two things: sexual orientation (gay) and gender (man). There is no woman in a two-gay man couple. Not that being called a woman should be offensive. The offense is the implication behind the affirmation. It implies homophobia and sexism, implying men who bottom are "lesser than men" - which also implies women are lesser than men, thus sexism.
This affirmation is also prejudiced because it implies that, in straight sex, the woman is always the one receiving and the man always the one giving - which, although it's mostly true, isn't absolute. There are straight men who want to get bottomed by women, and there are women who want to top men. They exist. lol
So, I believe this was an unfortunate example to defend your point of view.
That aside, I agree with you that there is much more to sex than penetration itself. To many people, it isn't necessary at all. But to others, it is a vital factor, and that's why the top/bottom/vers labels exist. It is valid, nonetheless, even if you don't identify with it.

The point that the guys were making for nurture in the nature vs nurture debate is actually counterintuitive if you really think about it. They were overtly taught to be a certain way from a very young age which had a huge impact on their early lives up until they realised their nature later on in life. Had they been left alone to figure out the world and themselves when they were younger, they might have also realised their same sex attraction sooner. So exposure didn't turn them gay, exposure just unlocked what they already were, and were conditioned to not recognise earlier in life.
First question is kinda silly... like you can have fantastic sex as two strict tops or two strict bottoms, or switch positions from time to time. In sex you should find sth both of you like. A top forcing themselves to bottom for someone is not how a healthy relationship is built
