👏👏👏Thank you Rabbi Jacobson, exactly!!! The gett withholders, their families and rabbi’s who help them make excuses and use Torah to say their abuse is allowed is sickening 🤮
The problem is that no one knows what's really going on inside marriage. In theory you have a point. But each side says the "other side" is crazy. Even in the beis din itself we believe that they have siyata dishmya and all the good stuff. But tachlis especially these personalities are extremely persuasive and it's a very fine line. Your average Jo blo usually feels like it's not my place to mix in.
Rabbi Jacobson, with all do respect, you’re giving an up close example of a story you know first hand, I can’t speak to that particular story, but overall as a general rule, and in many cases, or maybe even most cases there is obviously two sides to every story, and in many cases abuse on both sides of the aisle. A “Get” is something that terminates a marriage and everything which that includes, and as long as all the issues aren’t finalized there is no reason to give a get. I don’t know what’s considered a bigger abuse, withholding a get, or not allowing a father to see his own children the way he deserves to or undercutting someone’s career and reputation. Just to make a general statement not to allow in shul someone that didn’t give a get “yet” just because one of her family members are saying so is cruel and naïve. Rabbi Jacobson I’ve been listening to you for a long time, you’re better and bigger than that.
If a man has a seruv against him you are not allowed to let him into shul and most of these men do. There are no “two sides” to abuse and crying about alienation is nothing but a manipulation tactic that’s used on men like you to gain sympathy. You are one of the despicable people enabling and supporting get abuse by validating it.
But this is a prominent rabbi. Why aren’t the prominent rabbis all calling and demanding the Seiruv men’s shuls and rabbis and demanding they not accept these seiruv men?? The rabbis don’t go beyond their own fiefdoms
There are some shuls and shteibels where there’s no real leadership at all. Men can go there and lose themselves in the crowd. R. Jacobson really walks the walk, and is trying to make a change. We need more leaders like this.
@8:13 But there are some cases where the kids are held back from the father.. And you know very well that a Gett does not have power whne it comes to adhere or enforce child custody agreement

He probably won't see this, you should definitely email him

Oh hello Meir Kin
That's what civil court is for you rasha. A gett should be given no matter what. Along with kesuba money. Ignorant jerk
I doubt it’s Meir Kin, lol, because he is buddies with the person referred to in this clip, and would be defending him too. 🙄
