      yuta, i have a suggestion for a video,''how to say the number 2 and the number 3 english condicionals in japanese'' ,for example, if i had money, i would buy a car(number 2),if i had had money, i would have bought a car(number 3) ,nobody on youtube taught that yet,u can be the first, and this would really help us

    I strongly recommend NHK Easy articles. They put out 4 a day on current affairs both Japanese and global. I learned a ton about Japanese culture, the education system, and just the trivialities of Japanese life all while getting in valuable reading. I would read a Japanese article on covid or the ship that got stuck in the suez canal, then hear about it on the tv or from family. There's also a button to turn off Kana.

      good general reading recommendation, though they probably won't get you to an N1 level

      @@SadistModeOn no of course not. But transitioning to full articles once you get the hang of it should help. Cheers 👍🏻

    Another test that people
    should look at taking is the BJT
    Business Japanese Proficiency Test.

    I think I needed this pep talk. It's so overwhelming to approach reading for fun in Japanese. It's just hard to accept unconsciously that I can't go fast like I can in English I guess. I know it's silly.
    But! I will try 新書 and taking my time. Thank you!

    I failed N2 once six years or so ago, because I forgot that I signed up and only realized the day before that the next day would be the test. I showed up kind of hungover and since I never studied for the test I ran out of time epically because I read through every task super slowly to figure out what they wanted me to do... Halfway through they said 10min. left and I just guessed all the rest.... Surprisingly I only failed by a few points, so I guess the bit that I did answer seriously must have been correct. Moral of the story: When you sign up remember that you signed up! xDDD

    This is my challenge- I know I have to do it but I always put it off. Consistency, and baby steps... Thanks for reminding me Yuta-san. Maybe this time I can do it. がんばらんば

    Does anyone have advice on where to get Japanese books to read in the US? I have trouble finding ones online or at the library, and I'm a student so I can't afford to pay a lot to buy them.

    are there any shinsho with some simpler topics? preferably with furigana too, but not a necessity.
    I'm trying to read raw manga, but i often find myself just scrolling through the images because the story is too amusing for me to wait for the next page. I thought that an actual japanese book would be a more suitable studying material

    Not really about the video itself, but I've never heard anyone saying 「コドットジェイピー」before. It's interesting. Usually, people tends to "read" the extension when it's thee letters or more, and "initialize" when it's only two. I don't think there is any rule for that though. I wonder if you also say ネードットジェイピー or エヌイードットジェイピー

    Does N1, in JLPT mean it is the first, and therefore, easiest of the comprehension tests?

    • @tily5939
      @tily5939 2 года назад +9

      It's the opposite. You start with N5 then N4, N3, and so on. The final test is N1.

      All of the exams in Japan, kanken, nihongo kentei, JLPT, BJT etc go in reverse order with level 1 being the highest
