I started playing an English ROM of this game for the first time last night, and I'm so glad I tried getting ROMs of all the Japan only games. I stayed up till 4 A.M. playing this one, and I already have wonderful memories of that night. The long expansive battles are so different from what I've experienced with this series so far. It's a shame these never got official localisations because I bet they would have sold great.
Pamonhas De Piracicaba Dat Meteor skill tho. I don't even think the attack power gets cut in half in that game which practically puts it on the level of the Black Knight's Eclipse skill.
C'mon Dew, dodge all you can near the village you just saved. Then wait for some help (probably the blue haired guy riding that horse) until we can reach Genoa. We'll boss abuse there. hehehe =p
Believe me, the guy that can hit him with a 4% actually does hit him, because it takes some time for Sigurd to get there. Some days ago I got hit by a 1% hit. A FREAKING 1% HIT! So I just sit Dew in the village, since it gives the same amount of avoidance. Then I pray for the RNGoddess for Dew not to get hit or for the AI surround him with all the guys that can't hit him. And nope, I don't save the village with Dew, since he doesn't need it. haha Anyway, thank you for the advice. =)
I just started playing my reproduction cart of this game and it happened to be my countries birthday. As I was playing and getting later into the evening, fireworks began to light-up the sky! This music was playing, and it was so perfect for the moment! I sat in my apartment watching those fireworks and listening to this wonderful piece, an idealistic moment.
But that’s what makes the game so GOOD. It’s not afraid to do such things, and it can get really dark. Though thanks to that, it beautifully tells a wonderful story.
@@starrodpiplup Incest is indeed a rather... Questionable aspect... But such a thing is no different to Religious Inquisitions, Monarchy, etc. To compare is an example of Presentism. Where one has the bias of relating present day to those of the past.
@@mcihay246 it's more raw and dramatic, jus like real life. I won't say that that plotpoint does make FE4 great, but with how fantasy medieval it appears, and thus coming some.. moraly questionable choices with it. We don't have a real execution scene in that game too, only a more stilted or "distant" version of it, literally even xD
what is funny is that this theme, alongside with many othrr themrs from FE, I had my first contact with in a chinese bootleg java mobile game with completely original characters and plot, and which somehow got fan-translated to Polish... and it was pretty well made, to boot! ...also dudes who've msde these games propably made their own sorta-16-bit rendition of Gaiden's Act 2 overworld theme...
I almost didn't play this game because the prologue was so fuckin hard/ long/ boring.... but I some how pushed through it.... and when I got to chapter 1 I was in love with this game because of this track.
Me too.. I wanted to see what this FE was about after playing like half of FE5. But the prologue took so fcking long. I once was bored in christmas holidays and started the prologue again and i was so fcking glad that i pushed through
@Leharn Kills As with all characters available though, they all can technically solo the first gen. Just give them the right rings and you're good to go.
I remember putting azel just before the bridge so when i captured jungby he will have more spaces to go and then those axe figthers appeared and killed him before starting the next turn
Well, I think except Ayra and maybe Finn and Azel. Ayra and Azel because they’d kill Gandolf too easy and Finn and Azel because Gandolf could kill them too easy. Tbh, Arden was like the easiest to level up here.
This track sounds so Golden Sun-ish. Maybe Motoi Sakuraba was a huge fan of this game, and got inspiration to build the music for that franchise from tracks like this one.
I have a love hate relationship with this music The first part is okay, but the rest sounds like its off tone which makes me cringe everytime I hear it

Dew is the way i learned boss abuse. Its a great feeling to have a level 30 thief fighter on chapter 2

I'm so sad this game ended up being a tragedy.... These two deserved a better ending than what they got.

Very anime-esque. Though this is Fire Emblem after all...probably what they were going for in the first place.
