I just bought this wheel bundle yesterday as an upgrade from my G920, love it. But yes I also thought that was funny and wondered if he was joking. What kind of an idiot would use a sim wheel in a real car lol... Great vid mate btw
I've been using this wheel for over a year. Totally disagree with you on the nipple joystick, it's awful. In VR (when I can't see my hands) it's not possible to reliably push it in the cardinal directions without hitting diagonals, which makes using it to navigate menus a nightmare.
Agree, I have the Sparco Rally wheel and I really do not like the hat switch because you cannot control it precisely with any consistency for the reasons you mention, it should have been a “guided” 8 position hat. Also to be honest I don’t like the feedback these buttons offer, especially VR you don’t feel the click when you press the key. I like the wheel in general, I like the gear paddles, but not the hat and buttons. I actually prefer the buttons on the TM28, 599xx and Open Wheel - the F1 wheel is a different story. With a better hat (like some of the Fanatecs) and better buttons - even like their “normal” wheels, IMO it would have been perfect (well the fast release sucks, but keeps the cost down). Note I have the wheels I mentioned, so I’d guess I am objective in the sense that I put my money where my mouth is. All these wheels are nice in their own way. Actually looking at getting the P310 as well, but with the issues I mentioned and the others wheels I own the case to buy is not strong - more about collecting than usefulness.
I agree, whenever I attempt to make use of the joystick, its a 50-50 chance it gives the input I am trying to do. Also, involentary downpuch(click) happens from time to time while trying to be precise enough to get the input I need, which is almost impossible during a race.
Curious if you still think the p310 was the better choice over the 383 - I went the other way, preferring the round wheel. Although to be honest, I mostly use my TM28 as an allround wheel (I have the TM28, 599xx, Open wheel, 383 and F1 wheel - but my my most used wheel is the leather 28 followed by the Open wheel and 599xx - which all three share the same button box).
Guys, I bought a Trustmaster steering wheel (TS-XW Racer) and on the package it says “110V - 220V Version”, but I couldn't find where to change this voltage. On the source comes a 220V-240V label"… I don't know what to believe lol
@@randomcallsign But the PSU says "220V - 240V". I pluged in 110V and the wheell loses the FBB on the first pull. I need reset the PC or replug the USB for the FBB come back.
Looks like a really nice wheel addon, but at 200 euros and almost same functionality buttons wise as the stock one I imagine it would be rather hard to justify the purchase.
This is on sale right now near me. I am really tempted, but tbh, I want the Ferrari F1 wheel. I'm just wondering if the Ferrari one is worth it, because I play GT7 95% of the time anyway.
I'm debating this over the Fanatec csl bundle. I was gonna get a T300rs base, p310 rim and t-LCM pedals. My one question is how would you rate the button functionality over the G29, which I would be replacing?
I was in exactly the same situation. I had a G29 before and it was thoroughly underwhelming. I sold it after 3 weeks. I went with the p310, t300rs base and tlcm at the end because Fanatec is extremely hard to get hold of where I live and customer service/after-sales has a bad reputation. Go for it, it's a monumental improvement over the G29!
They are not selling the Ferrari wheel that comes with the TS PC racer separately. Which is a shame. It has more buttons and 32 cm diameter. I use my ferrari f1 Rim for LMP cars and f1 cars since modern hybrid F1 cars will basically force you out of buttons.
Any P310 Owners willing to give me a hand? I need the screw dimensions for the two screws at the bottom, the screws around the centre and the screws off to the side under the Xbox B button.
These Sparco and TM Open wheels are Suede, only the 599xx is Alcantara, although I am not sure about the 488 wheel, that might be Alcantara too. EDIT - the 488 wheel is also Alcantara.
To be honest the Sparco one looks like a DIY solution. Not even a directional pad is integrated. It's absolute overpriced if you compare it to the T300RS Alcantara full bundle which starts around €330. Nice review nonetheless.
i think thrustmaster puts every resource to the wheels, but everthing else is like 'no problem send it in' or 'its not important' ... im sending back my t300rs, the 2 pedals set startet to squeak like some old wood furniture... also the steering wheel, i like the look of it but its not centered? it just wobbles when spinning... its the detail that kinda bothers me... another thing was this little screw to block the steering wheel once its attached, really who the fuck designed that, its just a screw going through this whole plastic attachment and it makes a hole in your wheel, i made 2 holes because i wasnt sure if its attached properly so i did this process twice ;/ the main cable coming out of the base was loose, and when i connected it to the PC while it was ON the wheel did calibration twice, when i started PC with already plugged wheel in it did it only once, not sure if its the wheel problem but ive read its not really USB3.0 friendly and i dont have 2.0... and the last thing is the calibration process itself... its loud and violent, the wheel bash itself kinda strong from left to right everytime you turn it on, you dont really wanna do it at nights it will for sure wake up someone... its probably a few changes in drivers to make the calibration more gentle and nicer but apperantly they dont care, it doesnt matter that wheel can handle that, i just didnt liked it ;/ look at fanatec or logitech calibration... im kinda sad because i really hoped that the wheel will be fine and rumors about their reliability issues are not true.. ffb felt pretty good though
Looks like a nice wheel. Thrustmaster needs to make some higher end gear, they'd steal some of Fanatecs business easily.
Looks like you're about to be right
It's a good start but TM needs to release the 488 rim.
GM wants subtle front end feel, RC prefers tactile feel. The More You Know!
I do yes
This dude really just say “I would avoid using this on a real car?”
Yes. And for good reason.

The real p310 wheel is actually cheaper lpl
Getting mine today (finally!)

Thank you for such a superb review. I was torn between the 383 and this on a t500 base. You sold me.

You dont change the voltage. The PSU will do it.

you need the PSU compatible with your country. The 110-220V PSU will change voltage. The 220-240V wont work at 110.
@@randomcallsign i'm from brazil, i have 220V here, but i'm kind of scary to burn the wheel
Can you directly use the wheel on pc or do you need something to put it into before its operational
I like mine, but have one problem: It's blocking the view to the in-car display.
Looks like a really nice wheel addon, but at 200 euros and almost same functionality buttons wise as the stock one I imagine it would be rather hard to justify the purchase.
It's a different ball game in terms of quality. The RS wheel feels like a toy
@@randomcallsign how's the P310 compared to the 599xx wheel
Wonder what this guy would think of people buying $700 wheels lol
$230 USD!? Ooooouch...
Would love to have this wheel, but it cost about the same as I have in my T300-GT and PC build..together.
Good review RC.

Are you able to make controller for sparco f10 steering wheel?
How long do you think this brushless engine can last?
If it breaks you can go to replace it easily?
Was that wheel base resting on your lap? 😝
So can you add a different wheel to this button box?
a pretty cool add on c:
Need help, which buttons to use on the thrustmaster p310 add on to centre wheel
check your base manual or Thrustmaster support.

it is for sale I am pretty sure
Es compatible con PS5 ? Y el WRC 9 y 10 ?
Manda à Thrustmaster um email e pergunta. Já não tenho o T300 para testar a compatibilidade.
Those were some damn sexy dollyshots
I take pride in those
