Thanks for the Video. Just did my son’s 2013 m8. The stock reeds were F-ed up.
I now really appreciate how easy it is to work on my Axys compared to his Cat!

I’m in the middle of changing mine right now on my 2015 M8. Mines got electric start makes the job a lot harder. Gotta remover the hole starter and loosen off the starter bracket to remove one of the reed bolts.

The best most reliable add ons to these cats is an slp single pipe kit with the power commander fuel box. Stick with cat 66 gr weights and stock springs in both clutches. If you ride from 7000-10000 feet this combo rips! Make sure you weight the weights because they will not be exact from the factory. The cooker thing can hooks up to the slp pipe sounds great and you have a warm lunch on the hill.

I really like your videos especially the garage stuff. I put Boysen reeds in my 800HO engine and agree with guys, you need to check your reeds but if you stock reeds are good you will not noticeable big difference. Keep up with the great videos and will keep pushing the LIKE button

Do I need to remove the throttle bodies to get to the airbox? I had a tree incident and I need to repair that front airbox, seems like the TB's need to come all the way out in order to pull those rearwards.

Added these reeds in my 2009 RMK 700 cause I really thought it would improve acceleration on my sled... All the hard work ended up with barely noticing a difference... 1 year later I had a high idle and was wondering what was going on... Then remembered the VForces... After again removing the throttle body pulled out the left reed and one reed petal was cut in half... How could this happen ? Put some Boyson reeds to the stock cages and my sled ran crisper and still holding strong after 3 years now !

His sled sounds good but just too loud. I've got an M7 with the bikeman Quiet performer porting high compression head and pipe mod and it drives me nuts. My stock axys is like the quiet as sled I've ever heard put that giant suitcase silencers got to go. I'm thinking Diamond S titanium quiet. You guys got any feedback on those?

Friends dont let friends dont use V force, the cheap plastic reeds kill engines and they wont warranty your parts , then they blame your engine for damaging their part
