7:03 Holy cow that cornering was insane! Amazing bike handling!
And the Giant TCR is a beast .. but the handling is awesome
I want to personally thank you for these videos. They really help me with my riding skills. I am 17 and I am going to, hopefully, race my first crit this summer. I have always been a mountain biker, but this channel got me stoked about road racing as well. Keep it up!
Geeze, can't believe the level of fitness these guys have. 31M, just started cycling, it's a total blast... but I literally put down maybe half the wattage that these guys do. Absolutely crazy.
They were probably born with a cycle under their bum, so it doesn’t surprise me. Very impressive nevertheless
My ftp is 100 my sprint is 500w lol...
Bryan's GPS is all over the place lol
that's wahoo data if I've ever seen it. They're better than garmin bike computers in every way...except they have sloppy gps.
That was a great video...amazing cornering to hold position by Larsen....watch and learn kids...that's how it's done
Hell yeah more semi-contentious group race analysis.
couldn't agree more
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. It was amazing seeing a break and field perspective. 😎🤙🏽
Def was a good vid liked the double POVs
thanks for the great narration Btw, I used to watch Greg LeMond lapping the Senior 1 mens field when he was 15-16 racing in N Cal n finishing up to two laps ahead of second place :)
Nice work on the video!!! Always look forward to the next one....bravo👏🏼
Congratulations that was impressive and also great editing...!!🚴🏽♂️
206 BPM! Do you need an ambulance?
nice hearing and seeing multiple POV's.
Always...brings me great joy to see your video projects....awesome dude!!
Training to these POV type crit vids on the Computrainer beats the hell out of Zwift. Real life racing, real life reactions.
Thanks Dean. I also made a channel dedicated to full race coverage you will probably like. It's called "NCC - Full Races"
These joint videos are so much fun! I loved seeing the break vs pack perspective of this race. Would be super fantastic if you did this on a race where the break went and yo-yo’d a bit, which perspective of “oh shit we might get caught” and “oh shit we are going to catch them.” Obviously you can’t plan when that might happen but fingers crossed!
Good job by all! Thanks for the inside looks at crits.
I love this joined videos!
Good stuff boys. Now throw a camera on the back and do some multicam.
Great vid and input from the lads. Super stuff.
I LOLed at the bottle toss hahaha
Very nice videos, very motivational. I am (trying) to participate to this kind of events here in EU, the problem is that all these consecutive "all-out" efforts kill my legs so after few laps I am dropped by the bunch. Normal training approach based on FTP kind-of programs is not very effective in my opinion, since it is all about producing 500w for 30 seconds and rest for 10 seconds, 1 hour long... Is there any specific training you suggest for become a better kriterium racer? do you train "endurance" also? Grazie!
You kinda have to see it like cyclocross. So you're right, a lot of short efforts for an hour. FTP can help you a little bit, but if that's your only strength it's gonna be hard to do well. So train for shorter efforts as well. At least that's what I think.
awesome content love the race breakdowns
14:30 I love how he replied :D
Love the video ❤
Awesome,more like this please
BrIaN's StAbiLiZaTiOn sEeMs a LiTtLe OfF
@jbaillie crowd funding for a camera that has come out in the last 5 years!
Ok yea dude you strong as hell, that national dude tried but you put him down nice job!!
Yeah, the National dude who's 47 years old.
great videos! what are you using to get the "meters to finish" overlay? i don't see anything like that in garmin virb edit...
Great video guys !
Loved the video
Great commentary
Talk about heart rate guyz. Im curious.. cuz guyz fit in similar levels hve them different. Why. Im personaly high hr person also.. max ive had is 210 my treshold is around 185 and good working phase is at 190-`195
Hey dude...mine went up to 214..I think my threshold is around 183ish....
Great video, I'm learning a lot, especially how slow I am comparatively speaking. How long does it take before you can pedal at 28 mph+? I'm in my 2nd year of cycling (2018 was nothing but rain so my time in the saddle was very limited) but can only get those speeds with a tailwind or when going downhill. Any advice for gaining endurance?
riding, riding and more riding. In the winter mostly endurance and some strenght training with weights, only a little bit of intervalls. When the season starts in february you can start with more intensity and intervals.I do 5x 3 min intervalls at 115-120 % ftp or 5x 15-20 sek max efforts.
Super badass
Enjoy the different perspectives
Hey im 17 and ive watching your videos and been to get in racing but i literally dont know where to start
I'm 17 too. I started last year and it's quite rough. I would say join a local cycling club, I've learned a lot from them. Just ride your bike and do a crit every week. I've done like 12 crits and finished in only one. It's normal for the newbies like us. Idk wear you live but the Juniors in the Netherlands are insane... Good luck and stay safe.
Jarno Zondag how did you figure out what bike you should start with?
@@kinosells. went to my local bike shop. They adviced a "racy" endurance bike because I wasn't very flexible. So I bought a ridley Fenix SL 2018. Probably not what I would buy now since I got way more flexible and may have bought a bit more aero. Or maybe even an aluminum because crashes happen. Luckily haven't been in a crash that demolished my bike except my sti broke off... Fingers crossed it'll stay with that... It was a very nice bike and still is but next one definitely is gonna be an aero frame. So long story short it depends. Just go to a bike shop near you and ask what they'll advice. Also I did a bike fit after 4 months with the bike and I would say that fit is WAY more important than specs. I can put out way more power and be in a more aero position at the same time.
Jarno Zondag do yk what a good budget would be for my first bike?
I am 13 and I have Cannondale 6 13 which my dad bough me
wow mga lodi ;)
Bryan teleported!! says his gps
I thought Terun was the most unliked team in NorCal?
Nehemiah Weldeab it’s a photo finish with TMB
was looking for some allez sprint action all over the net, and BOOM here it is in all over your vids. Does chris have some insta or youtube page?
ps you need to fix ur insta link in details
thicc thumbnail
Flicking water bottles?
Why?
Because it's cool :)
Less weight
because they wanna feel like pros
Too soon, Junior.
where is your camera positioned? It's fucking beautiful
Terrible bottle toss. Remained on course for the pack to run over it. Grounds for relegation.
I got click baited. Saw sprint for last corner and had to fast forward 15 minutes. Plus it wasn't sprinting to last corner it was took the wrong line second to last corner and just pushed along in second place until the finish
You didn't listen to the intro. You fast forwarded through about 15 min of three cat 1s discussing tips/strategy and blew right past the part where he sprinted for the last corner (thumbnail) at about the 7 min mark. This video shows 2 perspectives.
I'll just look at the shorter vids. I gotta go riding
@@mindciller lots of good tips in there i wish i knew when i was a cat5
why female cyclist doesn't make such kind of video?
Too busy taking Instagram shots may be... /s
