That is way too cool. Does the ink in the jar dry out if it is not used right away or can it be thinned out?

Thank you! I have never thinned out my ink, but I've had some of mine for 2 years and it's still in great condition in the jar it came in.

Can you screen print on canvas and wood?

    • @DIYAlex

Hi, do you use same screen for all your screen prints and just wash it?? I want to start screen printing and want to know how many screens to get thanks 😊

Hi Jaelyn! Yes, I use the same couple of screens. I would start with two in case you want to do two colors on the same project. Otherwise they can just be washed!

Will the ink bleed through to the back of the shirt?

I’ve never had issues with that, but if you’re concerned you can put parchment paper between the layers of your shirt to stop any ink from going to the back.

Hi Alex! I just recently discovered your videos bc I was on the hunt for some help learning how to screen print. I love your videos-so helpful!
I wanted to know if you had ever done a screen print on a shirt and then added htv, like a glitter htv accent or something? I wasn’t sure the order i should try-htv first or screen print first and then add the second element?
    Thanks for your help!

Hey! Welcome to my channel, Erin! If you want to connect on social media I talk about things a lot more in depth like screen printing, especially on Instagram. I have not added an HTV accent, but I don’t see a reason why you couldn’t. I would go ahead and screen print and then heat set it, and then add your HTV since it needs a lot less heat than the ink does.

I’ve always wanted to dip my toes in screen printing. I have all the stuff you linked on my wishlist now! Going to have to wait a bit after my daughters bday next week. But I’m super excited. For some reason I always thought this would be expensive to start! Pleasantly surprised ! I loved the tutorial and the glow in the dark paint !! 😍😍

When you make registration marks and not using them you tape them like you did the uncovered screen so the ink will not go though

You can, but sometimes after swipe ink over them to mark them on the notecards, it’s hard to get tape to stick.
