I love Universal hotels. I have stayed at almost all of them. Bang for you buck I would go with surfside or dockside…….. wanna splurge can’t go wrong with any of the Premier resorts :-).

Normally I don’t comment but I will say this resort is NOT cheap. Surfside and dockside is cheap which I wouldn’t say the word cheap I’d say affordable.

Kyle truly if you think Cabana Bay is the “cheap” hotel maybe it’s time to take a break from Disney. I will say even from watching this video Cabana Bay is beautiful and more accommodating and has more for their guests experience and stay than Disney offers any of their guests in any of their hotels, value to deluxe.
I’ve stayed at Dockside, which is cheaper than Cabana Bay.
@@nancymccombs3775 yup our last Universal trip we booked our hotel at Dockside and got an amazing vacation package. And omg I loved dockside. The rooms was beautiful. The hotel itself was super clean and easy to navigate. The cafeteria food prices were affordable. And our kids had the best time ever. We had done a Pop Century Disney vacation the year prior and for the price we paid for the hotel and park tickets it was not worth it.
Moderate not cheap, maybe you should pay to stay there before you make an assumption next time.

I love your videos but wish you would have researched Cabana Bay before you filmed. I was frustrated at the incorrect information you were giving. It costs to park for hotel guests. There are suites in both areas of the hotel. The main difference is exterior or interior entrance.

Parking for guests is NOT free! Cabana Bay is a great resort. I’m a Disney fan, but also enjoy Universal. It seems like you’re really a snob in this video because it isn’t a Disney resort. I think you’re misleading people with the ‘free’ parking. The side you think is older has a lot of family suites. I really wished you had done some research.

I don’t think it’s that much different. I do notice he makes weird faces when she speaks and he interrupts her often. Among other rude and controlling things I’m not a fan of. I just wish he’d do some research and have talking points accurate and ready. I’m so tired of the “I think” or the “I’m not sure but…” kind of info given. It doesn’t help me plan a trip and I’ve never been to USO. I mean, even into groups proactive exercises and games to build their skills. They don’t just fly by the seats of their pants.

Since she has joined I feel like it has changed him and the way he does videos. Again, we are entitled to our opinions. I check back from time to time to see what he has posted but I do not watch daily anymore.
I loved seeing Cabana Bay but wasn’t a fan of all the wrong information given. We stay here the most because we get a really good military discount but besides that I love how walkable it is to the parks and volcano bay (not a huge fan of transit with all the people), love all the amenities and the food court is really good. I’d stay here over the affordable Disney hotels because I feel like it has more to offer for pretty much the same price. Even if you don’t like universal you shouldn’t compare it to Disney, they are completely different vibes.

A lot of incorrect info in this video so hopefully no one watches and plans their vaca due to info you’re giving. Parking definitely isn’t free and there isn’t a lower end area. They just offer a bunch of room options when booking. Cabana bay is my husbands and I favorite universal resort. We have stayed at all of them and we love all the things it offers. We go bowling every time we stay and it’s always such a fun vacation! But you have to go right away when it opens( I think 4pm) to book a spot or else you will never get in.
Unless you just don’t like Harry Potter I don’t understand the universal hate. Their theming is so good and it’s more affordable and less crowded than Disney
How is Universal more affordable? It costs $500 for a single day ticket with fast pass. I spent more in one day at universal than 4 at Disney.
@@bsr6823 sorry! I meant with hotel and tickets. When you package them they are far cheaper. Also universal does the buy 3 get 2 very often. Also found food to be a little more affordable
That's literally why I prefer universal and I don't go to Disney. Too crowded and the rides aren't worth it to me. I prefer thrill rides

We enjoyed our stay at cabana bay. Pool area was great & we had a suite. DO Not knock something before you know it!
I stay at cabana Bay every time I go Universal Island adventure it’s a great hotel. The accommodations are amazing. The rooms are very comfortable and the bus service is very easy to use.
My suggestion is to start including Universal more. Broaden the video content...my wife and i love Universal and Disney. Don't sleep on SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Busch Gardens.

We’ve stayed at most the Disney resorts but the last 3 years have been at Universal resorts, both Royal Pacific and Cabana Bay. We can’t say enough good things about Cabana Bay…absolutely loved it and brought family with us this year! Surely a new favorite :)
If you said dockside was cheap I'd say yeah for universal it is, but Cabana Bay definitely isn't cheap. We stayed there for a week in 2019 and it's an amazing place to stay!
Dockside might be the cheapest hotel at universal but it way better than Disney pop century
@Kyle-Russell I think they both have great qualities, we stayed at Pop in 2022 and we loved the skyliner!
The word that Kyle keeps missing is mid century modern.
Eichler, Stahl, Frank Lloyd Wright, Neutra, etc… some of the best architecture around!

Swap the word 'cheap' to 'more affordable'. It comes across soooo much better.
Cabana bay is one of universal Moderate Hotels. It’s not cheap and it’s not overly expensive either. And even Universals “cheap” and “moderate” hotels are above and beyond anything Disney is offering. I will pick Dockside over Pop Century any day of the week.
Next time I visit Universal, this is the resort I want to stay at. My family is bigger and their rates are very affordable. I love the vibe.
I hope you do research first. Kyle gave a lot of misinformation. This resort is certainly not cheap.
Hi Kyle, im a fan or both Disney and Universal. You can do whatever you like but i think you should spend sometime outside of Disney. Also please research the hotels first because some of the info you provided was incorrect like the guess parking. I LOVE Cabana Bay and this video didnt do it justice. Still enjoy your videos but Disney isnt everything. You rushed out of Cabana Bay to go to Disney smh. Sad

I think universal hotels are so better value than Disney and universal value hotels such as endless summer are even better than Disney’s value hotels
We love universal, we are at Universal every October. Universal is more for adults we think.
Not gonna lie… I don’t love Universal, BUT I love the Universal resort content specifically because as a travel agent I love seeing what’s out there to better help my client
This isn’t compatible to Disney’s most cheapest resorts as pop century etc. spoken just like a Disney only fan. These rooms are suites and the most affordable is over $200 a night.
Ok I will be honest, I have watched your videos more now that Casey is in the vids and I do love you guys together! Second, being at a resort/hotel for a couple of hours is NOT a staycation!!! 3rd, it's called a monsooN not a monsoom!!

If you’re not going to the park(which is unfortunate) I would do Portofino, Saphire Falls or Royal Pacific.
I love Disney but I don’t get how you don’t like universal. The rides and ride queues are awesome. The Harry Potter world beats anything at Disney.
We love staycations at Universal- much easier to get to the parks than Disney
Wouldn’t you stay there if you are going to the park because of the included “fast pass” for the rides.
Do a Universal Staycation! Portofino is a stunning resort! I’ve enjoyed all my stays at Universal. Sapphire Falls, Surfside, Dockside, and Cabana Bay are great! I still have to try Hard Rock, Aventura, and Royal Pacific resorts.
We recently just booked a trip with the grandchildren and staying at cabana bay going to Disney of course as well but the kids wanted to also go to universal they are 11,12,14 and 15. I appreciate you doing this video
I was loyal to Disney (visited almost every year since 1978) until 2020 when Disney “let go” 500 Imagineers…(one was my son, a 20 year employee and former member of the college program) and his wife (working almost 10 years as an engineer and also a member of the college program). My son now works for Universal on Epic Universe project. I’m No longer a Disney loyal…it’s really not the Disney it was in the 70s, 80s and 90s.😢
Personally I am so excited for Epic Universe solely because Disney pretty much handed Universal the most talented Theme Park Creators and universal actually appreciates and lets their creators do what they do best which is create and develop new rides and rides technology. What epic universe is about to bring to the theme park industry is gonna be beautiful and perfectly immersive. So thank you to your son for helping create that and Disney epic universe is what your imagineers could be creating for you if you just gave them your trust and a workable budget.

Hi 👋 I've stayed at Porta Fini and Sapphire Falls never Cabana Bay. My friend stayed here for the walking path to Volcano Bay. Kyle I think it's a fair trade: you get more mugs & Casey gets more pillows 😂 I'm all for a staycation at a Universal Resort.

My husband was just saying Kyle never goes to universal why? I think you should go more often and that’s coming from huge Disney fans! We went to universal HHN and volcano bay for the first time in 2022 and stayed at cabana bay we had a great time all around!
I think it's because of the whole minion blast vlog incident he got himself into. Since then I noticed he doesn't put out universal content the way he used to.
Because Casey said she would not get an annual pass. He can never get her to go.....he use to go all the time with Lora who sadly is never here anymore.

You’re telling me that you spent an ENTIRE day, and video, trying to get the curtains right. You even made a photoshop version and they STILL aren’t the way you wanted.
The folding at bottom is nice but remember real life isn’t like a magazine. Sweeping and mopping around them, plus the puppy you two talk about….
Just saying, this is really perplexing for us normal folk. Way too much energy, thoughts and content went into these darn curtains.
The hotel lobby & lower level gave 1960’s airport vibes and the outside reminds me of 1960’s Las Vegas hotel 😊 thanks for the tour 🙌🏻
Definitely not cheap, more moderate! We stayed pre covid and really enjoyed it. Shake shop is new to when we stayed. Wish we were there now xx

Love love love the curtains!!! I think it makes the room more elevated :) if you don’t like the blinds I highly recommend Roman shades!!! They are fantastic
Cabana Bay is awesome, I've stayed a few times but my husband and I love Aventura! It's in the same price bracket as Cabana Bay but it's a little smaller and has a more modern feel. The roof top bar is amazing and the food options are good. Also, you are almost always guranteed a cool room view! I suggest requesting a higher floor with a park view. They can't always do it but when they can it's so nice! There's also normally not as many families with youg kids so great for couples :)

Kyle you lucky Cassie is classy lady and you are fortunate she picked you. She keeps your videos classy. Word of advice don’t bite the hand that eventually will feed you come 2025. You’ll be begging Universal to invite you on and this snubbish video is not helping you. Disney is good and the majority of us that watch disney videos is for nostalgic reasons at least for me. I will go back to disney 2025 but for 2 dsys and rest Universal. My advice is do your homework/research when providing resort information. At this time i don’t take any your advice. I go other RUclipsrs that do their homework for notes on my 2025 disney/universal information.

I would think you want to expand your horizons. I love Disney as well and will always be a Disney guy first. However, Universal is killing it right now and they have so many more things coming up on the horizons than Disney does.

We did a week at Disney resort and 4 days at universal (Cabana Bay) last year- Loved Cabana Bay - shockingly more than Disney. I love your videos but there’s only so much Disney you can show before it gets repetitive. Showing Universal resorts and what else there is to do in Orlando besides Disney is no more disloyal than cruising Royal Caribbean or Virgin is. I appreciate your work

It’s not cheap it’s affordable more then most, we stayed there best room view and we loved the pool and everything it had to offer we really enjoyed our stay there😊

LOL You're still in cruise mode. Me too, and we got off the Fantasy in May. Won't be back on DCL Until Christmas, be on the Fantasy. Then the Treasure in April 25 for 8 days. Goes to PR and USVI and Castaway.

So glad you did this video! We’re staying there for 4 nights for HHN. We love Disney, but also love Universal. Universal’s hotels are really good and affordable. Last year we stayed at Hard Rock for HHN and loved that it was only a short walk to the park. Dockside is wonderful too. We usually stay in their 2 bedroom because it’s so reasonable! Good video Kyle. Thank you for doing this.
Is it just me or does he sound snotty about the rooms and what not. If you don’t like going to Universal then just stick to Disney if that’s the only place you’re comfortable vlogging .
Casey - I am 100% a Disney girl, but I also love Harry Potter! I highly recommend reading the books and then watching the movies - they are quick reads even though they are long. I read them for the first time in my 20’s and really enjoyed them. You’ll appreciate the Universal attractions so much more if you know the stories!

Watch Tampa Jays video where he took his fiancee to stay at Universal. Their room /tower had a view of volcano bay. The windows were from floor to ceiling. Also look at the wonderful price for this fantastic room.

We love Universal we've stayed at Cabana Bay a couple times the room with the suite is real nice. The bowling alley is fun & the lazy river.

I have been Disney Loyal since my first visit in November 1971 and last summer for the very first time went to Universal and was very impressed at the level of detail that they covered especially in The Harry Potter realm!

Actually Casey, read the books, and then see the movies. They are really a good read and go into far more detail than the movies!
Its not the cheapest resort. However Cabana Bay is a great, affordable resort. My clients love staying here.
