    Hey mike, curious about your battery isolator/regulator choice. Would you still select the chargemate pro over something like the Renogy 60 amp DC to DC charger?

    • @LowOnCash
      @LowOnCash  2 года назад +1

      Either will work fine - I use the Charge Mate Pro because the Ampbus on the Lithionics BMS triggers the charge perfectly and is adjustable right from my SOC gauge, Thanks

      I would now recommend Victron's 30 amp charger it works flawlessly. However they are limited to only 30 amps but you can use two id needed check out my new 5112 system showing the charger: ruclips.net/video/ZxSS44przNs/видео.html

    How much does this system and installation cost. I’m looking to get a Verona later in the year.

      I'm not too keen on pricing I would suggest that you contact the folks at Lithionics and ask them who would be their best dealer. Their site is:

      Lithium has dropped in price in the past few years. I just help my friend replace his 6 AGM's with a 300 AH battery he bought on Amazon for only $1039. Therefore, lithium was chaeper than replacing his 6 AGM's.

    0:50 "run a test with the 2 ACs on one battery" . how long did u run the test for?

    • @LowOnCash
      @LowOnCash  2 года назад

      Actually it was in error we generally run the pump on the front unit and the fan on low on the other - anyhow long story short, both units were on cool they had ran for 5 minutes or so when I discovered the error and shut the 2nd pump down. This is not uncommon for Freedom 3012's to handle that kind of load for a short period of time. Of course having 1260 AH of lithium battery keeps things happy for longer. Thanks for asking!

      The quick test was just to show peak surge power. I do not recommend running more than one AC unit on this 12 volt system. I just built a new system called 5112 dual voltage dual inverrter system you can find it at:

    How are you going from 48v to 12 v to power leveling system, mine is HWH and requires higher amps and not sure how this would be done.

    • @LowOnCash
      @LowOnCash  2 года назад

      This coach uses two separate 12 volt lithium battery systems, one for 120 volt inversion and a second 12 volt system for the RV's 12 volt devices such as slides and jack, etc. In order to better understand the concept look at my new 5112 system at : ruclips.net/video/ZxSS44przNs/видео.html Thanks for the replies guys!

      @@LowOnCash thanks, great video, have an 05 Tiffin Phaeton I’m looking at putting 48v in. Certainly not as efficient as what your doing but thinking of leaving the old Xantrax inverter in it(removing the 6v lead acid)then going 48v dc to AC then back to 12v dc via the xantrax to power the slides and jacks, will save some money and should be less invasive to the current system to accomplish.

      @@rodneycampbell9832 Hello and thanks for the reply - I'm not quite following you regarding going from 48 v back to 12 volt DC - let me know what your thinking Thanks Mike

      @@LowOnCash currently have the original 12v xantrax inverter/charger with 6-6v lead acid batteries that powers the jacks and slides. Was thinking I can remove the batteries which at that point leaves only the AC which would then go through the xantrax to power them. Then connect a 48v inverter charger and lifepo4 batteries to the AC system. At that point the 48v dc would go through the new inverter charger to AC then back through the xantrax to 12v dc to power them.

      @@rodneycampbell9832 OK that's what I thought - this same system I designed for my Canyon Star. I call it my 51/12 system since I'm using 51 volts instead of 48 volts and a separate 12 volt system. Look though the video I linked below. You'll need to purchase a 48 volt batteries and inverter for your 120 volt AC fridge etc. ruclips.net/video/ZxSS44przNs/видео.html

    • @LowOnCash

      Sorry for the delay response - the system is not designed for two AC units however as a test I did run both AC's which was 2870 watts pretty much maxed out for around 10 minutes then shut it down. At 3000 watts it will over heat the inline components. Be sure to check back I just installed a 51 volt 32.700 watt hr system in my coach and it will easily run both AC's and cook top untul the battery depletes.
