A Zerg rush is more a player vs player thing. Because of their quick build time, the idea is at the start of a match to build a ton of units and send them in at the start of the match while your opponent is still constructing their starting buildings.

I've heard of worker rushes, where a player immediately sends their starting SCVs/probes/drones to your base as soon as the game starts. The idea is to destroy your base before you have enough units to defend yourself.
Never had one happen to me though. I feel like it's something that could only be accomplished by the player knowing EXACTLY where your base is, either by playing that particular map enough to know where each start location is, or outright cheating.

I use Brave, but if for some reason it isn't compatible there should always be some sort of similar extension you can download so that you can get through videos at triple speed and beyond. The only limitation is you taking the time to get used to comprehending at incrementally increasing speed. Every hour of video suddenly becomes only 20 minutes or less so you save a ridiculous amount of your precious time. Besides practicing, it depends on the speaker too, but for this video I have gotten up to quadruple speed (28 minutes to watch the whole thing) no problem.

FYI, Starcraft 1 is the game that popularized the "consecutive campaigns for multiple sides" concept.
It allowed different sides to prevail in turns over the course of the plot without forcing the player to lose or using alternate timelines.

    Thanks for the video!
One thing that drove me crazy as a SC player since 1998…. A “Zerg rush” doesn’t mean anytime a Zerg attacks you with a bunch of units it’s a “Zerg rush”. A “Zerg rush” means in multiplayer where you play other humans, and typically 1v1, the zerg can build units (zerglings) very fast and try to rush as fast as they can. It’s considered “cheese” because their economy is so bad that if they don’t succeed they are dead. It also doesn’t take much skill. In early SC days like 1998, it was much more deadly, however the meta of the game now makes the probability of a Zerg rush succeeding low. You kept saying over and over it drove me crazy lol.
I mean you called a lot of things wrong, but that’s okay because you admit you never played before. For some reason the zerg rush thing urked me :)

Starcraft is so interesting. Bit of background, Blizzard was trying to get a licence to produce a Warhammer 40k RTS game from GamesWorkshop and wasn't able to work out a deal. So, instead of scrapping the project entirely, they retooled all the game assets they already had, renamed everything and BOOM, Starcraft was born.

Finally finished this long video of Starcraft 64. It's nice to see a more comprehensive breakdown of what starcraft 64 is, rather than the usual videos on it that are like 7 minutes long. I grew up with this version when my family didn't have a very good pc and I didn't know that starcraft 1 existed on the pc, even after Starcraft 2 was announced. It took me like 2012 to realize there was one on the pc and at 2016, I got the game when a friend had it on his usb so he put it on a school computer for everyone at high school to download on their usbs' and also play Starcraft on all the pcs, usually playing 3v3's against each other. With me and my brother only having Starcraft 64 for 2009 up to 2016, it was a good time, especially playing free for all with me against him, against two other computers or teaming up in a 2v2 against two computers.
It's also quite cute how you perceive things would work with your first experience with the game. Like thinking that firebats explodes hurt your own units or thinking that all zerg attacks were a zerg rush lmao. Thanks for making this one. I was waiting on you to cover this game with it being a massive childhood game of mine. Me and my little brother loved this game. I still play Starcraft 1 & 2 on the pc to this day while my little brother did play some starcraft 1 and 2 on the pc a bit but moved on to other stuff like mobas and other games.
