Very impressive, I honestly didn't think it would fly that far, it's a shame you can't turn the distance off what it's set to, maybe they can fix it, but yeah, Good Job to you Both, if I lived where you lived I would be out every single day lol. It's beautiful. 🤘👊💯
For the price id rather a dji. Now with the ocusync tech its insane how good the fpv is. Always watch your range reviews have for years! waiting to buy my second drone its been over 5 years! Thanks for the testing!
I've found that with dji if the controller battery isn't at 100 percent at start of flight that I can lose visual feed or it goes a bit streaky.. I don't lose it. But streaky can be a bit scary especially if you want accurate view of what the drone can see But if my controller is full bars full power I don't get this visual disturbance.
@@lifesahobby That is very strange. I've never had that happen to my Phantom 4 or Mini2. Does it always happen, even in a clear field with no obstacles?
I really just want longest flight time and best signal. Problem is thats like mavic 3 and thats too much for a fun drone for me lol. So was thinking of the zino mini pro. Annoying the zino mini se has up to 45 min bat and the pro has 40 but updated syncleas 3. Cant decide!
I think there's a reason why the max distance is capped at 7km. It's because if you go any further and then turn around, you'd lose the radio signal. As seen in your test the signal dropped to zero bars at 7km after turning back. It appears the antennas are optimized for when the drone is facing away from the transmitter.
Always a good and in depth show Dustin! Never gets old! Looks like there is a distance winner here! Would be great if you would consider do a End of Year top three on all the drones you test through the year, also with Pros an cons, just if you get the time. Off topic in relation to this drone, but will you be testing the new Skydio 2+? could be awesome to put it up against the skydio 2. Thinking especially about the range test, since range on the skydio2 sucked....but again guess it is the crappy control that also influences this. But could be cool if you have any plans on this.
The reason why it is so efficient, is because it's Hella slow!! Sport mode 22mph?? c'mon man, it should be at least 30mph...The washed out picture on video sucks! Thanks for the review Dustin! As usual, extremely thorough and satisfying.
Good test! Range and power consumption is good. Can't say I'm impressed with the quality of the video or FPV feed. Hope they added Imperial measurements in the update. BTW, Litchi now supports the DJI Mini, Mini2 and Air drones. Using Litchi you CAN get real tracking now, along with all the other swell Litchi features (waypoints). Pretty slow compared to my P3A, which I've had over 50mph in atti mode ... ha ha. Mahalo!
I had no idea the V-Copter was capped at 7000 feet/meters (sorry I can’t remember which) by the software. The drone did very well during the testing, and that battery life is off the charts good. This is interesting drone, and would probably do better if it was priced better. Another great Range Test Dustin, and thanks for sharing.
To vcopter owners.......make sure that when you open the arms ......the lock buttons click .......because during the flight if you move the arms the vcopter crashes ( happened to a friend while he was "braking" in sport ....... but luckily nothing happened because he fell into the soft)
They nice part is, you fly out 5-7 km to the thing you wanna record and have 30-40% for making videos and photos and still have plenty % left in the tank to come safely back. Amazing Nice video and thanks for the testing
Again it's an amazing drone for not being a DJI product but the features, app, fit/finish and the camera quality are subpar for it's price point and competition. If this was more modestly priced around the $700-$800 dollar mark then it would be a no brainer, but with the price dropping and bargains you can get on the DJI Air 2S, I'd pick the Air 2S any day over this camera drone.
This might be the most battery-efficient drone you've tested so far. The software seems very basic at the moment but I'm sure that will change in future updates. One to keep an eye on for sure. BTW, just wanted to point out that there's no "E" in "Copter". It's just "Coptr". Might be a good idea to fix that to make sure you show up in search results for this drone.
It seems that they may have limited the max distance due to the signal quality when it turns around. It may not be able to get a stable control signal much past 7km. Still not bad for a first version.
Thanks for the video! I think, for roughly the same cost, the DJI Mini 3 Pro is a much better buy. Camera & extra features, obstacle avoidance, & auto fail-safe features are much better with the M3P.
Having two large propellers is like having wings as long as your not just hovering. I think more drones will go to the hyper efficient 2 prop design for long range. My friend has a 6 HP dual prop with 14" blades and it will lift him 200 feet in the air. I did it once over water, what a trip!!! (After I ddi it he informed me that a 200 foot fall into water is lethal 50% of the time) Ring his neck!
That was very impressive Dustin. Hey this drone is actually pretty good on flight time compared to a Dji drone. That was fantastic. I like it, but I still don't think I will be getting this drone. It's just not my style of drone. Thanks for sharing dude.
Nice Dustin. Great range test. I'd like to use this on a Boat marine location. Question is if it has return to "controller" mode? So, that would work while moving on the boat, I guess the wind would be an issue over 25mpg.
