this drone is future because it's more battery efficient than Quadcopter it's just half consume battery than Quadcopter mean double the flying time 🔥🔥🔥
Well... not half. But it is definitely more efficient!
But this design have its own limitations.
Just because it's got half the motors doesn't mean it takes half the energy to make it fly.
Each motor ve to now do double the work
@@MrSicnarfM try but the motors are one of the heaviest parts, increasing the size of the two motors a little they become more efficient thrust produced. Thus decreasing weight and increasing efficiency
One time I needed an aerial photograph of a city. I took a picture from the roof of a tall building. Worked great.

What seems impressive is the camera. Even though it wobbles back and forth and the way he kept pushing it to the side and forwards the camera was extremely steady and that is extremely impressive.
Ken,
Put it in "follow me mode", then start walking towards it. Depending where you do it, it will eventually crash because there are no rear sensors.
There is a video on out there in RUclips land showing that exact condition
I like the propellers of this drone....they're like hell of far away from the camera unlike other drones that you can see them on your videos.
The gimbal was amazing. Totally steady when he was shoving it around.

About time this drone is out been waiting forever
I legit think this should be the future. A parellel can be drawn with passenger jets transitioning from four low-bypass turbofans to two high-bypass turbofans; less and longer blades can be more efficient and quieter because it's carrying less motors and the tip speeds are lower.

Nice review. Just a little suggestion for future reviews: don’t wear a black top when displaying a black drone in front of you. We couldn’t see the unfolding demo clearly as a result.
It flies better than I expected and the gimbal seems to work well. Can’t wait to see your next video about this drone. I’m happy to see that this actually made it to market but I’m still happy that I canceled my order on it.

I'm seriously impressed with the way it sounds. Yeah, I guess being that it only has 2 motors, I guess that's why it's battery life is 50 minutes. It's pushing 2 motors, instead of 4? Overall, I'm seriously impressed with that drone. Thanks for sharing Ken.
It's only pushing two rotors, but it is frequently using a second pair of motors to tilt and rotate the rotor arms. I think the bigger factor in flight time is the battery size. It's quieter because it's only running two rotors, and they're larger than the blades on a mavic mini for instance. Larger blades = quieter flight.

Man you got some balls messing with hovering drone. I got my finger sliced pretty good from doing just that by mavic air 2, those props are like razor blades at the ends. Be carefull.

I am impressed at how the gimbal compensates for all the movements of the drone. When you go full speed forward and then suddenly stops, as you said, it looks almost like a pendulum, but it does not show in the drone's camera!
That looks a little bit wobbly ... can you guys compare with a DJI air 2s?

Works better than I expected, and I'm impressed with the gimbal stability.
Def more efficiency and speed when moving med to high speeds. When Quads tilt forward to fly more quickly, they have to tilt forward and create a lot of drag. This V design doesnt create the increased drag as it increases speed as compared to quads
Fun to watch video.... It's an odd shaped vehicle but if it has a 50 minute battery I'd give a thumbs up too.

A glimpe at an idea ive been developing for 3+ years,
2 of these that lock together and fly as a single quad, split into 2 during flight after say dropping cargo etc Covering ground quickly in quad mode, to then split and capture multi angle video or mapping Intel twice as fast.
One explorer one on task. One lookout one operative. Etc etc. I'm sharing a concept I own as intellectual property, with intent to patent. But my doors open and my phones on.
Hi Doug, you've got an interesting idea here so I'll chime in as a engineer/quad designer. The complexity of what you're describing is quite manageable to our modern technology but at this point our autonomous software isn't at a level where it would make sense at any reasonable price point. While cool, it's not a breakthrough. People at very high levels of ai/drone making companies have looked at this and determined it isn't worth their time yet.
I see the industry moving toward mothership ai enabled vehicles that have smaller "nodules" of robots attached or stored inside them that can leave the mothership to do separate autonomous tasks. If you have any questions I would be more than happy to answer them as someone involved in the industry and a fellow curious nerd.

I feel like this drone is gonna be great for hyper lapses because of its long battery life.
The one thing you didn't mention which is the whole purpose of a drone. The video looks like it was rock steady despite your attempted antics and mounting an off-balance go-pro on it. That is enough to say it's a great drone. I was concerned that all that wobbling by the drone itself would affect the video stability, but the manufacturers obviously compensated for that. Great job to the company and you guys. Another fun and informative video.

At least on paper the V-Coptr's camera seems to be closer to that on the mini 2 than the Air 2S :( .

Doesn’t shoot photos in RAW and has no AEB mode. Perhaps a firmware update could add these?

Uh oh....I just discovered something....I just flew my Mini 2 for the first time yesterday, and watching this, I'm all, wow totally cool, I want one....It seems drones are like peanuts, you can't just have 1.
I will say I am going to work my way through my DJI Refresh first but other sky toys are in the future.
I was a bundle of nerves flying the Mini 2, but then it was very windy and the little drone handles stiff winds very impressively. I have watched your videos since before we had rules, always informative and entertaining. - Cheers
Dang, maybe I should have stayed on the pre-buy list? Nah, camera still looks better on my Mavic Pro 2. I'm wondering how durable the motors will be that control the stabilization while it is flying and hovering under GPS in the wind after awhile? Your thoughts about this?

Well, very nice and surprising…. But if it s at the same price of a dji m2p I don t think it s valuable… knowing that there will be a lot of m2p on the used market since the announce of the m3. Last point if you crash it the arms seem quite fragile and the motor articulation is a potentiel point of damage… so happy to see it flying… but not for me.
Filly paid up my order in September. Can't wait till it's here.
