But perhaps there's those out there who can wash themselves and do know how to use deodorant who can't stop having an offensive odor.

I place very far up the hypersensitivity spectrum , especially in terms of my sense of smell.
Listening to Joey and Connor not taking the topic seriously honestly kind of triggered me (not like super much but a modest amount).
For me smell is equally as important as looks and character. Voice is another thing many probably don't even consider a factor but I can talk go someone I find visually attractive and after one word immediately know I could never be with them.
For many people body scent, voice, feeling of skin, posture and aura are minimal factors that only play a minor role on a subconscious level while looks and character are the two big factors they pay attention to.
But some people, like me and Garnt pay more attention to those more subtle factors!
If that triggered you, you need to get your shit in order. Life will not go well for you.
