I had no idea that DeWalt made carbide edged blades. That’s annoying because as soon as the video is over, you know I’m going to have to buy that package! The wood isn’t toxic. It’s why I love cocobolo, but dislike working with it. A lot of guys put woodworking down compared to machine work. People seem to think of woodworking as carpentry. But having done both for a very long time, I think I can say that while metal work, particularly machining, requires knowledge and care, high quality woodworking requires more actual skill.
My start in woodworking was making shipping crates for rebuilt items, this woodworking machinery and antique tools I picked up locally in around 2012, when the schools in the region suddenly stopped the shop programs, corporate purchases of family farms put all types of woodworking tools and machines on the market and really drove the prices down, especially 3 phase machines. I only had basic school shop experience but picked up the basic equipment that needed to break down slabs from the area mills. Those carbide utility blades are really good.
@ you were really lucky with the equipment. That’s quality most people never see, much less are able to obtain. Yeah, I bought a 50 pack of the blades last nite. It’s surprising how little they cost.
Good to see you. I like the woodworking segment.

Cracks me up. Dude! Your shop looks like mine.
I make a mess! Thanks.
Wonderful antique! I have one too.
The wood and forged steel is more attractive than aluminum and plastic, I think.

Yes, she is always close by, thanks!
