- In this video tutorial, I am going to be showing you how to make this crochet hexagon baby blanket. I made this pinwheel hexagon blanket in a pram size but the yarn pack holds enough yarn to make this into a single bed size blanket. Enjoy!

Love this stitch. My daughter just told us we are going to be grandparents again. I made the first two boys crochet blankets. So I will need to make one more. This one will be so fun to make. We are hoping for a girl this time. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us. ❤️

So pretty...making a big one for me as a sofa blanket for the tv lounge.
I particularly like the lacy connecting effect.
This will be lovely with any Ophelia pack.
It would be pretty in a single colour too.
Stylecraft dk in parchment or cream would be lovely on a bed.
Bright white could be an heirloom Christening blanket.

The attaching method you use makes a beautiful picot edge adjoining the pinwheels

Such a lovely new pattern and will be perfect for my one week old new granddaughter. I have similar colours from the packs I have previously bought from you and I think I will be able to manage it ok, it’s just the joining I will have to get right.

@@OpheliaTalks I noticed that when you join the motifs, you reach through the top (right side) to grab the slip stitch. All my life, I reach through the wrong side, basically by placing wrong sides together. It makes a noticeable difference! I learned something new. (I hope this makes sense. ☺️)

How much yarn did you use to make this blanket
Anja do you have a tutorial on how to make and join a half hexagon for this blanket? I want to fill in the long edge but can’t work out how to do it🤦♀️
No sorry Nicola, I haven't done a half hexagon in this pattern, it should be fairly simple though, Anja x

How do you choose the color combinations. I feel useless in creating, without order and what to do next. It makes me stop crocheting as I get worried about it looking good. Any suggestions please??
I look at nature and my surroundings, pictures of things give me inspiration too, Hope this helps Sharon, Anja x
I get the same way . I pick my colors no problem but then I get stuck on when to use what colors , so I've learned to stop overthinking and just go with it if you like your colors you picked they will work and look good wherever they are placed .sometimes I just stick my hand in my bag and whatever color i pull out is the one i use .

The best way is to make a square and weigh it, work out how many shapes you need, then you can work out how much yarn you'll need, I hope this helps creationcrochetnanny8675, thank you, Anja x
im guessing 120 for a twin bed and 200 for a king size bed
