    Robin you have brought back my love of crochet, especially for the Granny Stitch. I know exactly what you mean about working full time and trying to finish projects. So THANK YOU for your efforts and I am sure I speak for your other subscribers when I say “we understand and appreciate everything you do”.

    You have a lovely sense of colour and touch with the yarn, a natural! Thanks.

      Whatever job you are doing, Yukon are wasted.
      Hopefully in the future there may be an opportunity to do something creative....

    Beautiful motif! Beautiful combination of scrap yarns. Almost like a planned color scheme for the Afghan, gorgeous!

    It's great to have you back. Love this idea, good for stash busting your part balls and leftover yarns. 💜💐😊

    Welcome back hun, I hope you like your new job. I love the colours you used in this blanket, I like these sorts of patterns as you can just do the hexagons anywhere instead of having a big blanket with you when you want to work on this.... Hope you had a great Christmas and have a wonderful New year... Much love from the Blackmore clan.
    (hope you don't mind I've shared this on my Pinterest account.)

    I love magic rings. The more I use them, the less I like the chain X and join method.

    It’s a nice pattern, but I think it’s a little “gappy” , could do wither ch1 after the clusters.

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  5 лет назад +1

      An additional chain may make it even more gappy - feel free to give it a whirl though! It's an easy pattern to adapt 😊👍

    Hi Robin, I’m a beginner and I’m just wondering can I mix scrap yarns in this blanket or will it cause me issues?

    • @juliewatson2281
      @juliewatson2281 Год назад +2

      Afghan squares are very forgiving of mixing different weight and even ply of yarns. You might have to go up one size of hook if yarn/thread is more lightweight than expected and turns out a smaller hexagon than others made. How tight you crochet can make a difference too. But overall, crochet work is more forgiving than knit. I’m 70 and have crocheted and knitted since age 6, learned from grandmother. My mom would help when we got stuck, but she was left-Handed so if we had a complicated pattern she had to figure out how to reverse it, but mostly Gran got us over rough spots in crocheting. I can tell what to do with crocheting a pattern to duplicate it by just looking at the block. You can even mix different hexagon blocks as long as they are the same size along the sides. You’ll find when you get older that crocheting limbers up your fingers if you have arthritis.

    Really pretty robin thanks for sharing great sash bust, but as always wished you used english terms not American ones I have to think all the time when you call a treble a double crochet ARGH brain hurts.

    It feels as if I should be sorry that you have ro work and can't work on a project. I just wanted to see the progression. TOO MUCH blah, blah, blah

      If you click on the description box you will see I've included timestamps - if you click on timestamp of the section you want to see, the video will jump straight to that point and you can skip all the blah blah blah :-)
