Are you kidding me? Yesterday I discovered and binge watched the 7 episodes of your series, and today you upload the next episode. This is some main protagonist of life shit hahaha. Thanks for this videos, they're really good.
That Jazz outro got me haha XD My GF got me a copy of 4U for Christmas and I recently got to G-Rank, and man, it is an AMAZING game! One awesome feature that they added were episodic quests, in which random NPC´s from previous games showed up in your gathering halls (available online quests from Low Rank to G-Rank). These characters would vary from guild recepcionists, felynes from villages, story characters and even the Shakalakas from Tri and 3U. Each quest was different with a variety of monsters and gimmics that actually influenced the text before, after and during the quest. It was a lot of fun seeing old friends come back in this game, some really unexpected moments came out of these and several unique rewards also were granted, for you and your Palicos. 4U did an amazing job at world building, by saving several villages, by meeting people who are related to previous game characters, by letting you trade monster parts with hunters all over the world and many more... It felt like a pocket version of an open world Monster Hunter game, full of life and wonder in every corner
So you know that the Japanese MonsterHunter fanbase (that have been playing MH since at least MHFreedom) consider MH4/4U to be the worst generation of all MH games
Fun fact, in the very early stages of the Monster Hunter Movie it was originally going to be about the Ace Hunters but obviously they didn't go that direction. They decided that fans might actually like that and Hollywood can't have any good ideas.
My first game in the series was 4U! I remember impulse buying it after seeing the box art one day a few years ago. 700 hours later it’s still my favorite game in the series
MH4U looks so good, really considering buying an old 3ds just for this since i cant play it in citra Edit: Finally got citra to work in myphone, what an amazing game! Quite a big leap from its predecessors. The cinematics man, just finished magala on the ship and I know I just have to come here and say some good things about it.
IMO the new 3dsxl is the way to go for MH. You can take a replacement psp analog nub and put it in place of the 3ds nub, and use the controls so swiftly.
4U - my favourite MH game, put in well over 1,200 hours on it. To answer your question, my first MH was MHTri but I did go back and play some MHFU later. Can’t wait for Rise !
MH4 & 4U definitely had a big impact on the series, perhaps more so than any game in the series since the first one, what with many game mechanics being added and changed, two new weapons being added and multiple new types of Monsters making their first appearance here. One cool thing I like to do in 4U is use Life Hone combined with Peak Performance, it's a nice combo of survivability and damage output. The Ace/Sororal armour set is great for this thanks to it having Prudence (Evade Extender + Peak Performance) Razor Sharp/Rapid Fire, good resistance to all Elements and a healthy 10 slots!
I started with world, then got a switch in preparation for rise and played a little GU on it. Its a little too clunky and grindy for me so I don't play a lot, but its nice seeing what old style monster hunter was and seeing some of the monsters that weren't in world
I played the crap of MH4 completed everything in that game. Then when 4G came out I did the same. I played them in Japanese. MH is just the best been with it since tri. I still p3rd lol
MH4U is my absolute favorite game of all time. MH3U is my 2nd favorite, and MHFU is my third favorite. IDK why, but there's some aspect of those three games that is simply unparalleled for me.
Mh4u was actually my first. But then my ds decided to die so I ended up not being able to continue playing. But I recently got MHGU for the switch which actually doesn’t feel that much different other than the hunter arts (and no wycoon the evil bastards stole my farm so now I have extra work actually grinding for honey and mega potions)
My first game was 3U but I didn't really like it. 4U was my first more serious game but still didn't get into it. It was a slow integration from playing it over the years that I learned to love it. Currently playing all of 4U solo since I'd already did that with 3U.
I was not expecting such a erotic sax and then "holy sh*t you can cook so many stakes at once" lmao Damn man it really makes me wanna jump onto this one. Id like to do it on hardware tough 🤔 But then we get the doubt: follow my heart and go for 4u, or buy a switch lite and be treated with Rise and G.U. ... hmm thats a hard thing rly. Even if sounds like such a obvious awnser to go for a switch, i ask myself: is it rly? XD
honestly 4U is not only my favourite monster hunter game but one of my favourite games of all time it did so much for the series and in my opinion did other things better then future entries for example story and frenzy monsters, like if they remade 4U and just updated the graphics i would 100% buy that
Man i wish mh6 will be better than mh4 in terms of single player and story progression.. i want to relive the adventure with good characters and locations..

you forgot 1 super important thing, your cats can ride on your poogie when you're in towns
One of the best video games I have ever played.
Except the part of hunting apex monsters solo
So you know that the Japanese MonsterHunter fanbase (that have been playing MH since at least MHFreedom) consider MH4/4U to be the worst generation of all MH games
17:00 actually, any monster with the frenzy virus will give you this ailment.
I've literally just picked up 4U and started it on preparation for rise,
Another great Video, thx. Can't wait for Rise ^^
My introduction to the series was 3u. 4u is my absolute favourite so far and I think it's great that you can still play it online these days.
Fun fact, in the very early stages of the Monster Hunter Movie it was originally going to be about the Ace Hunters but obviously they didn't go that direction. They decided that fans might actually like that and Hollywood can't have any good ideas.
Been watching this series idk how I found you but I’m glad I did lol

It's beyond good. The time I spent playing that game is beyond enjoyable. And there are still ALOT of people still playing online!
Recently playing it and just left a comment about this game, it is REALLY worth it

@@blakecarson6555 the new 2ds xl feels better than 3ds version imo and i dont care about 3d
If you do buy either the "new 3ds xl" or "new 2ds xl"
I love your videos, man!
Thank you so much!
17:42 Affinity* increase of 15%.
Your video is just amazing
thank you very much
i was waiting for this video for so long! my first mh game is this game :)
Dang I'm just seeing how little views these have. Just wanna comment and say just how much these are appreciated.
First Monster Hunter game I played: Monster Hunter Freedom in 2021
4U - my favourite MH game, put in well over 1,200 hours on it.

Hey yeah Jeremy! Thanks for watching ^_^

This was my first Monster Hunter game, I got rid of my 2ds but I got a new one just to play this game lmao
Warning to viewers, don't take a shot everytime Tom's Mons says "actually"
hahaha
I do not count "recolored" monsters as "new" monsters. That part of the video was silly. All the rest is absolutely amazing, I love this game.
"Recolored" also known as subspecies got new attacks and appear in other zones so they are technically "new" monster
Subspecies are new monsters they have different attacks
Nice
Are you going to do mhgen/gu and worldborne?
Yes they come out on the 22nd and 23rd
Yeah thats my gen baby!
I started with world, then got a switch in preparation for rise and played a little GU on it. Its a little too clunky and grindy for me so I don't play a lot, but its nice seeing what old style monster hunter was and seeing some of the monsters that weren't in world

Yo this gen had amazing new monsters! Much better than World imo. However, the new Rise monsters are looking dope!!!
The game that started it all for me. Too bad my hands were too big
Im playing generations ultimate rn and the lack of any kind of story really fucks me up, guess ill get 4u

Ahhh... your terrible pun on hammering bros, you didn't reference Legend of Zelda Links Awakening, two brothers who actually upgrade the Master Sword.

Was online added after on 3u? Because I literally can join random rooms right now still.
