ashley douthwaite yeah, he says (screams/yells) it around 3:31 in the song Planet of the Apes. The lead guitarist of Meshuggah, Fredrik Thordendal, plays a solo on the title track of that same album (Deconstruction).
Bleed is more like a rythmic exercise. No, it is not the same riff all the time. Actually the same riff is never repeated twice in the verses only in the chorus. The song is about a guy having an aneurism, plain and simple. You may want to check out Clockworks, Rational Gaze, Demiurge, Obzen or Dancers to a Discordant System for more from these Swedish masters. The solo is very jazzy like most of Frederick's solos. He is going more for atmosphere than anything else. Guitars and drums carry the song. Drummer Tomas Haake is world class and he writes all the lyrics.
That break in the middle was so they could get their breath back, get the lactic acid out of their muscles, and wipe all that sweat off their instruments. LOL
Meshuggah, Gojira and Tool are estoreic, spiritual, analytical and totally technicians masters. Danny Carey(Tool), Mario Duplantier(Gojira) and Tomas Haake(Meshuggah. These 3 drummers base they playing in polyrhythms and for me are the Top 3 in the WORLD. This bands ARE the Holy Trinity for me.
Meshuggah musically blows my mind, the unexpected timing and offbeats makes it a hassle to cover any of their tracks. Speaking as a musician. Can't wait for the Ora Pro Nobis and the story it will reveal. 😊
That's actually not true. Their riffs aren't always in 4/4 but the back bone of the rhythm sections usually are. On the album Nothing there's a lot of rhythmic imposition and genuine poly measures. They just try to make complexity accessible.
Vin totally nailed it for me. I appreciated this song the first time i heard it. Because I heard Bill Burr talking about how he was mesmerized by seeing them live. So i checked out the live drummer video. And was fascinated. But i can't say I liked the song. But after a couple more listens? I f'ing love it!
Messhughah... so friggin heavy and hypnotizing at the same time. If you really want to torture yourself for the sake of a reaction... listen to their 20+ minute song “I”.
Really thorough analysis! The song is actually written about someone having an aneurysm; according to the drummer Tomas Haake, who is their main lyricist.
I feel like lyrically this is a song that says how true extreme pain can rob you of your humanity. When you're experiencing what a doctor would call "true 10/10 pain" you can't exist as a person, you only exist as a reaction to your pain. Pain can make you a slave to it's whims, and it doesn't care how you react to it's existence.
Nothing in life quite compares to a Meshuggah show right now, at what might be their peak years live-wise. Life altering experience guaranteed. Thank you for these videos! :)
Saw Meshuggah three weeks ago at Sweden Rock Festival ... it was Fantastic! I just loved it too much!! Had a friend with me who was very skeptical, when the show ended he was amazed! I love how music can be so emotional and important. For me, music is the backbone of life. Without music I would die emotionally. And Vin and Sori ... Big hugs and love to you!
these guys come from sweden and are one, if not the band that heaviely influenced the modern metal of the last years. a whole new style was generated called djent. just searrch for it and, if you guys are in heavy and technical stuff, then im shure you will find many bands that will delight you :) a good example whould be after the burial i guess.
Allen Saunders Just because it is new, it isnt bad either. And therefore "good" and "bad" are very subjective, all i get ist a slightly negativ vibe from your answer. Feel free to correct me if im wrong though
toolazyforarealname Naah... youre right, the guy was bashing your liking of djent. I myself am not a fan of it, since most bands just copy the guitar tone, in a lazy manner I might add, and think that the best thing to do with it is only make groove based break downs, which gets old faaaaaasst... (for example, I cant stand Vildjharta) Though I get your appreciation for the "genre", since I assume its more towards the bands, which were influenced by Meshuggah, but made it their own, like Animals As Leaders. Correct me if Im wrong.
the impressive thing for me is the influence to the modern metal as a whole which is based on the musical foundation of a band like meshugga, and yes, there are bands from this gerne that i like, and some that just take it as a blueprint to jump on the bandwagon, of course. but some take this influence and evolve their own sound and basically this is what keeps the music evolving. if stuff like this would not happen, we would still hear aerosmith and judas priest. and yes, animals as leaders are a perfect example for taking something and evolve it in their own way, to generate something new.
Worth noting, if you read a lot of Meshuggah's lyrics... There is an obvious psychedelic, metaphysical and philosophical theme! And in general, their music has a psychedelic quality.
The timing and just the sheer ruthless double kick-drums makes this song so insane.. for the drummer to keep up that rhythm and timing for that long is just.. no words.. great vid btw, the music vid for this song is also pretty good.. they're swedish
Meshuggah is from a different planet in every single way except literally. The solos, the rhythm, the lyrics. Vin is right, you really need train your ear for this, but the funny thing the next song from them will be just as hard to digest, at least for me. Their most recent album is so far the best they have done, Clockworks being the song I would love you to hear. The music video is dope as well. I haven't really dug into the lyrics yet, so I really hope you can do it at some point. BTW, the sound and video is much better, your investments are paying off, even more so when I find your Patreon account..
Meshuggah have been like a musical revelation for me, there wasn't a band in a damn long time that could speedrun so fast in my top of favorite bands ever, heck, arguably my favorite band right now
I feel like most people who do reactions do Bleed, but I get it.. it is a popular song. If you happen to react to another Meshuggah song in the future, I recommend Future Breed Machine or New Milleninnum Cyanide Christ
Meshuggah is such a strange band. They basically decided to completely forego melody to have five rhythm instruments. I can only listen to so much of them in one sitting, but no one does what they do better.
@@facepalmjesus1608 I can dig that. I just enjoy that their version of melody doesn't try to sound beautiful or flowy like most. It feels so mechanical and it's a perfect fit for what they do.
So glad to see you guys diving into some Meshuggah! They're definitely different, but incredible musicians. If you want something that's not so much of a "rhythmical exercise" like Bleed is, check out Rational Gaze, Corridor of Chameleons, Future Breed Machine, and New Millennium Cyanide Christ to name a few. Those are all GREAT songs. Keep it up guys!
The best way to keep in time with the music is to follow the cymbals. It's mostly played in 4/4 time. You'll see people will bang their head in rhythm with the cymbals if you see Meshuggah live.
I'm typing when i'm watching the video, basically this song is virtually unplayable and it's a mystery how they manage to play this live. Basically you've got the main tempo and all sorts of things moving around it. What creates this mountruous sound is the bass drums reproduce the guitars patterns (which is insane). EDIT: so yeah Meshuggah requires a lot of hearing to deeply get into what they're doing because it's far more subtile than it sounds. Once you manage to memorize the structure of the songs you find there's absolute crazy ideas and groove in it. There's some high advance music students who event made their thesis on Meshuggah. In many ways there's similarities with Hindustani music.
Esteban Aguayo when a drummer is playing a polyrythym, they are playing in polymetrics. What on earth are you saying? It is even BEYOND humanly possible if you wish to also keep in mind we have technology, thus making even the most difficult, humanly possible. Take Danny Carey for example. If you think he cannot make use of his hi hats and octopad and hit his snare ride and kick with his right limbs (you don't even need the tech) you have some thinking to do. Guys like Carey and haake constantly press the envelope of what we believe is not possible in rhythm.
One of the most technical bands out there. The drumming in this song is mind-blowing. You really need to see the footage of this live. Cameras are set on the floor next to the drummer Tomas Haake feet.
I like how quickly he picked up that the drums were a half beat off. I'm pretty sure they're actually playing in a different meter. I hadn't seen their sheet music, but I'm told a lot of their work is poly-rhythmic/metric, which I'd imagine can be difficult to perform, since we often train ourselves to play with the beat rather than against it.
Messhugah is one my favourite bands and that was a great discussion. They are from Sweden (like most great metal😊) byt there is a metal band called Orphaned land from Israel who sings about religion so you should check them out.
Heeeey... Another favorite band of mine reacted to by you, guys! No, Meshuggah are not Jewish - theyre Swedish :D A fun fact: while most people think Meshuggah use a ton of odd time signatures, they actually usually play in 4/4, and the polyrhythms are designed in a way to create an illusion of chaos. I suggest you react to such songs as Rational Gaze, Stengah, Spasm, Demiurge, and a song already suggested by Paulo Brasil - Corridor of Chameleons. To be honest, there are a lot of great songs to chose from, but if youre not into rhythm exploration, and require something more melodic, I already suggested to you Textures - Regenesis. Textures were heavily influenced by Meshuggahs polyrhithmic nature, but they combined it with more melodic riffs and melodies, making their sound more progressive. However, since I know you are doing the entire Lateralus album, I have a suggestion for the next entire record reaction - Catch 33 by Meshuggah. A concept album, it is basically one 44 minute composition split into 13 parts/songs. I would really love to see you react to the entire thing in one sitting, and since its not mainstream music, I doubt you will get a copyright strike, though you yourselves would have to look into that, if youre interested.
I have been to a few Meshuggah shows, and are probably the best metal shows I have been to. They are perfectly tight live. The sound is always perfect. (They don't employ idiots that just push all the faders up to 10.) This is all amazing, considering the nearly impossible rhythms going on, with multiple people following it.
"underground' refers to the perception the general public would have of the band, not people in the industry. Devin Townsend is 'underground' but he's highly known and respected among his peers.
Indeed. I was a little sad that they didn't watch the music video for O Father O Satan O Sun, but a lyric video would suit Ora Pro Nobis just fine. Hopefully they react to the music video for Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel as well. Blow your trumpets and o father r definetely the best music videos from The Satanist. The cinematography really enhanced the music. Very few who do.
Demiurge is Party Meshuggah, rather go for Clockworks or Born in Dissonance over Demiurge, even tho Demiurge is a great song, the lyrics are quite simple ^^
I've always interpreted this song to be about depression, self-harm and, ultimately, suicide. The desperation you feel when your own brain turns against you and drives you to the edge and over. Never thought about it being about an actual, physical disease. It was an interesting take on it. Thanks for that. Loved the metaphysical discussion you had around it.
audio of the music is kinda low in the mix here. but other then that you guys have done some nice upgrades =) Also please react to Cattle Decapitation - Kingdom of Tyrants for some more extreme metal.
This song is about brain aneurysm. The lyrics are freaking amazing, and the instrumental is also INSANE, specially after you get how each riff is put together.
I'm very very picky about vocals in this kind of screaming/growling music. But Meshuggah happens to be one of my favorites in this regard. Along with Gojira, In Flames, Lamb of God, Mudvayne, and Devin Townsend. Actually, I think those 6 are the ONLY screaming/growling bands I like. And I like them a LOT. I dont think you guys have done Mudvayne or In Flames yet...
They are all about the rhythm vocal included. Love their expressiv,e detailed lyrics. Fair play for doing this at 5am. Try Killswitch Engage - Vide Infra, gotta have some light occasionally for balance. Wassail!
If you're interested a jewish rock band I can recommend something in that direction: Orphaned Land is a metal band from Israel (christian, not jewish) that incorporates some local folk influences in their music. Their music always cheers me up! to be more specific: react to Orphaned Land - All is One edit: I wasn't sure about the band members religion so I looked it up and it turns out most are agnostic. I thought they said they were christian when I saw them live, guess I remembered wrong. It isn't a religious band but the conflicts and commonalities between the main Abrahamic religions in the middle-east is a big theme in their music. Enough homework done, now it's time for bed.
It's just after midnight, I'm almost going to bed and I'm watching you guys being tired in this video... I was not expecting an almost instant reply :) very surreal
Good band with interesting Middle East twist in music and vocals. If you plan a reaction to a video, it would be very nice a review of the official video of Like Orpheus
Meshuggah might be one of the most musically... dense... bands I've heard. I've loved them since the first time I heard New Millennium Cyanide Christ. Their timings are insane but I can get into it with them where I don't really care for overly complex timings of bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan. Just something about Meshuggah is so catchy for me. Definitely one of my go to bands for the past 20 years.
guys! this channel is great, didnt realise how new it was, been watching your vids back to back till 2am like youve been around forever.... loving all your TOOL vids especially, we've got a band here in Australia thats often mentioned in the same vein as TOOL called KARNIVOOL....Check Out KARNIVOOL - The Caudal Lure, id love to see your perspective and show you some Aussie music.
Pantera - Domination live in Moscow 1991. You're in for a treat, there was approx 1.2 MILLION people at that show. The energy and skill is nuts. RIP Dimebag
I remember listening to this song when it came out in 08 and fell in love with it since. The way you described how you felt about the track is how I felt except loving it.
Tomas haake the drummer of meshuggah specializes in a drumming technique called polyrhythmic drumming where he infuses more than one rhythm to a drumbeat as opposed to a straight forward one. the drummer of tool also specializes in polyrhythmic drumming
WOAH WOAH WOAH you can’t just request bleed off the bat like this. I mean this song is a legendary banger, but damn it’s an overwhelming song to introduce Meshuggah
Meshuggah is an interesting band. My personal favorites are " Do Not Look Down " and "New Millennium Cyanide Christ " Sill waiting for Riverside "Driven to Destruction " Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree and another go at Opeth....
You are confusing the hebrew word meshuga with the bands name Meshuggah, wich is a place. Btw, Watain is a band you should look up! Or Gorgoroth, carving a giant, the video.
VinAnd Sori the drummer Tomas Haake is the lyricist. Tomas is one of the most talented metal drummers of all time. There are not to many drummers who can touch him. The drum part that he plays took him over a month to get down. That just goes to show you how talented the whole band is. If you see Tomas play on their tracks on a drum cam video you will see how powerful he is. Tomas actually played a tour once when he had nerve surgery. Tomas is true professional. Tomas is an example of a dedicated musician. Meshuggah is the kind of band that most people just don't understand. Their music is primarily rhythm based. Oh and while I am at it would you guys mind watching Gene Hoglan's drum play through of Strapping Young Lad's "Skeksis"? I am going to be a persistent guy until you guys watch and take in all of Gene's technical and musical prowess. #GeneHoglantheAtomicClock. Keep up the awesome work and don't quit.
"While we all have lots of bands who influence still...we all rip off Meshuggah!" - Devin Townsend
th3n3wc4d jesus devin townsend said that? Puts you in your place for sure.....long live meshuggah
SKULLEDBUICK correct
th3n3wc4d You're a peach!
ashley douthwaite yeah, he says (screams/yells) it around 3:31 in the song Planet of the Apes. The lead guitarist of Meshuggah, Fredrik Thordendal, plays a solo on the title track of that same album (Deconstruction).
I mean, only if you're metalcore.
Bleed is more like a rythmic exercise. No, it is not the same riff all the time. Actually the same riff is never repeated twice in the verses only in the chorus. Noted thanks!!! -Sori🤟🏻
Demiurge is goooooood!
Do Dancer's to a Discordant system. The song is class... And the stage lighting is from a different galaxy.
The mouth licking what you’ve bled or dehumanization are two more underrated bangers in my opinion
That break in the middle was so they could get their breath back, get the lactic acid out of their muscles, and wipe all that sweat off their instruments. LOL
I bet!! -Sori ✌🏻
Ro Han hey man, dont forget Mastodon, crack the skye
Those are some good picks.
Good picks, but you left a lot more technically complex bands out.
Man You losing a lot by not knowing Gavin Harrison's work from Porcupine Tree
these bands are not pure technicality, which is way harder to achieve. INSERT- CRYPTOPSY, ARCHSPIRE, and GORGUTS.
The band's original name for this song was "Aneurysm", so great job analyzing the lyrics.
Score!
One of the hardest song for a drummer to cover.
To this day nobody has successfully done it justice.
This and Esoteric Surgery
What
Ehh, lots of drummers can cover this song. To compose it, however. Now that's where the real talent lies.
witty screen name yes they have. It's hard not impossible
Tomas Haake is the amazing drummer. He also writes a majority of the lyrics. Thanks for your reaction!
That off-timing was crazy!!
He and Danny Carey (TOOL) are great at polyrhythms, where you use your hands and/or feet to play different time signatures at the same time.
Meshuggah musically blows my mind, the unexpected timing and offbeats makes it a hassle to cover any of their tracks. Speaking as a musician. Can't wait for the Ora Pro Nobis and the story it will reveal. 😊
😉
"Can't wait for the Ora Pro Nobis and the story it will reveal." What are you referring to here?
zensei999 a song I requested
They make complex riffs but all in a regular 4/4 time signature. Amazing!!! And Thomas Haake is the best metal drummer I have ever heard!
That's actually not true. Their riffs aren't always in 4/4 but the back bone of the rhythm sections usually are. On the album Nothing there's a lot of rhythmic imposition and genuine poly measures. They just try to make complexity accessible.

So i checked out the live drummer video. And was fascinated. But i can't say I liked the song. But after a couple more listens? I f'ing love it!
Meshuggah - Clockworks
it's a musical masterpiece
VEXARI debatable
Not really that debatable, bro.
DarkSideOfLucca matter of opinion bro
Aha you're on the internet, dude. There is no freedom of opinion, only right and wrong! :p
its my favorite meshuggah song, it really has that DNA evolving sound to it
6 months was the time it took to master the drums in this song. Hard work, excellent job. 🤘😁👍
This song really changed my perception of metal. Love it. Tomas Haake is a beast behind the drums.
Ya he does good work!! Can’t wait to listen again now that I’ve had some sleep lol! -Sori✌🏻
I saw a lot of typos in that lyric video. Whoever made it needs to be smacked upside the head for their incredible sloppiness.
HideousConformity I know, really pisses me off
HideousConformity Yeah, God forbid someone actually uses spellcheck.
Messhughah...
so friggin heavy and hypnotizing at the same time. If you really want to torture yourself for the sake of a reaction... listen to their 20+ minute song “I”.
"I" is some of their best work...
Ah, I love messhughah
yeah "I"
Really thorough analysis! The song is actually written about someone having an aneurysm; according to the drummer Tomas Haake, who is their main lyricist.
Corridor of Chamaleons by Meshuggah is one super entertaining song. They put all their skills on display
One of their most underrated songs
Listed! Such an amazing name for a song
I couldnt agree more - Love that song!
Very few bands are the complete package like Meshuggah is. They write great music with cool, interesting meaning and lyrics.
Paulo Brasil 100 percent agree.
Paulo Brasil I know right I also like how it flows after new millennium cyanide christ as if it's a continuation of the song.
I feel like lyrically this is a song that says how true extreme pain can rob you of your humanity. *Break those bones whose sinews gave it motion*
I'll third that
That and Demiurge are two of my favourite Meshuggah songs.
Love the slow, heavy feel og Break those bones, like malevolent molasses.
Clockworks?
yes!
That and new millennium cyanide Christ.. heaviest shit ever.
You want your mind completely blown? Go see them live. Unforgettable. Great job guys! \,,/
I would LOVE TO!!! I’m going to see some of this live for sure!!! -Sori🤟🏻

bluntedatbirth1 THANK YOU! You gotta ease them into it you know?
They should just go with Meshuggah - I 🙄 Video would be like an hour long..
I think one of the reasons behind that is the fact the drums is so difficult to play in crazy to listen too.

Clockworks by meshuggah plus the video

Great band. Meshuggah made a big impact in metal (IMO). I do recommend their song Demiurge. Very groovy jam
these guys are Swedish progressive death metal band and the guitarists are playing 8 string guitars
I would say listen more than 3 times, and when you get it, you are hooked. My favorite band by far. Thanks for the review!
Welcome into the world of polyrythm, and yeah Meshuggah means crazy.

Meshuggah has been one of my favorite bands since 2001... They're amazing musicians...

Wow I really love how much you guys appreciated the rhythmic complexity.
It’s all djent now, but back in the day, it was just good ol’ math metal. Love Meshuggah. You should probably react to “Catch 33”... the whole album.
Holy shit I would love that. We'd be sitting here for AT LEAST 2 hours lol. \,,/
Catch 33 is their masterpiece to me
This is an awesomely written song btw it’s a fluid and conscious style of writing

The original title of the song was actually Aneurysm, so Vin was spot on in his interpretation of the lyrics
Awesome review. They're Swedish. PLEASE do more. check out "straws pulled at random" or "clockworks" for a crazy guitar solo.
Nice! Thanks for the suggestions!! -Sori🤟🏻
Not really an underground band when you've been around since 87 with 8 albums and 5 top 200 tracks. Not hating, just keeping it honest.
underground in America ... unfortunately (most great bands are 'underground' in America :) )
B Well No way Meshuggah is underground in US. Every djent band in America probably lists Meshuggah as one of their influences
"underground' refers to the perception the general public would have of the band, not people in the industry. Devin Townsend is 'underground' but he's highly known and respected among his peers.
The Lowk
Are they on the radio? National tv shows? Talked about on mainstream media? No, they're underground based on general perception.
yes it is ,let's be honest dude yes they have a big fandom but if u goin into mainstream rock/metal fans they don't know shit about messugah
Best reaction video ever! :) So nice you are musically trained and just get it right away.
Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer will be interesting that's for sure :D
Yes! BYTG!
x2
We’ll consider it, we ususally don’t watch the vid Bc we don’t want it to color our interpretation of the song 🤟🏻-Sori
The accompanying riffage behind the solo leaves room for almost anything (mode-wise) and the guitarist takes that room^^
Demiurge by Meshuggah!!!!!
Nooooo! That's their stupid song that barely showcases anything the band is about.
amjan say I personally think it's one of their best, but to each their own
Jacob Lillard i think so too. It may not be as complicated as their other work, but it's catchy, groovy and great songwriting.
Demiurge is sooo groovy dude
Demiurge is Party Meshuggah, rather go for Clockworks or Born in Dissonance over Demiurge, even tho Demiurge is a great song, the lyrics are quite simple ^^
I've always interpreted this song to be about depression, self-harm and, ultimately, suicide. The desperation you feel when your own brain turns against you and drives you to the edge and over. Never thought about it being about an actual, physical disease. It was an interesting take on it. Thanks for that.
Loved the metaphysical discussion you had around it.
audio of the music is kinda low in the mix here. but other then that you guys have done some nice upgrades =)
Also please react to Cattle Decapitation - Kingdom of Tyrants for some more extreme metal.
This song is about brain aneurysm. The lyrics are freaking amazing, and the instrumental is also INSANE, specially after you get how each riff is put together.
meshuggah- future breed machine
Edgecrusher66 they’re not ready for that. Lol.
one of the most technical bands fucking love them, thanx guys from north bay ontario canada
No Jinjer?
They are all about the rhythm vocal included. Love their expressiv,e detailed lyrics. Fair play for doing this at 5am. Try Killswitch Engage - Vide Infra, gotta have some light occasionally for balance. Wassail!
If you're interested a jewish rock band I can recommend something in that direction: Orphaned Land is a metal band from Israel (christian, not jewish) that incorporates some local folk influences in their music. Their music always cheers me up!
to be more specific: react to Orphaned Land - All is One
edit: I wasn't sure about the band members religion so I looked it up and it turns out most are agnostic. I thought they said they were christian when I saw them live, guess I remembered wrong. It isn't a religious band but the conflicts and commonalities between the main Abrahamic religions in the middle-east is a big theme in their music.
Enough homework done, now it's time for bed.
Oh ok cool! Thanks for the info! -Sori🤟🏻
Technically masterful. Breathtaking in structure and form. Like an unstoppable brutal machine.
Cattle Decapitation - Pacific Grim
The prophets of loss!!
Mammals in Babylon
Bingo! It’s a song about having an aneurysm
Hey guys, this might save your life but you can schedule videos for a time to go live. So you dont have to wake up at silly o'clock in the morning.
Lol that’s trueeeee...we just have to get past our technical issues so we can actually record and have vids on tap! -Sori
RIP Dimebag
yoooo, are you using new camera? cause you look more fabulous
I remember listening to this song when it came out in 08 and fell in love with it since. The way you described how you felt about the track is how I felt except loving it.
Not sure if you have had a lot of requests for Iron Maiden.
Def listed! -Sori🤘🏻
The good thing about Meshuggah is that you were both headbanging at different tempos, but you were both correct. 😁
Don’t do stuff for us guys. Your health and well being always comes first. No need to torture yourselves for some views or an audience
Good stuff, guys. Glad to see your first video with the new equipment. Well worth it.
Please, react to M.I.A. by Avenged Sevenfold. The lyrics are so amazing!
Listed!!! -Sori🤟🏻
Meshuggah is a style of its own. All the crazy polirhythmics are just insane.
Mastodon - Megalodon ....
Tomas Haake (the drummer) is a freakin machine and he also writes all of the lyrics.
Mushroomhead - Qwerty
MeshuggahHead
Video quality looks great (like really seeing you guys for the first time), audio much much better. Meshuggah 7. Sori is awesome!
Death - Symbolic (song)
Noted! -Sori ✌🏻
Tomas haake the drummer of meshuggah specializes in a drumming technique called polyrhythmic drumming where he infuses more than one rhythm to a drumbeat as opposed to a straight forward one. the drummer of tool also specializes in polyrhythmic drumming
I hope u guys can check out Trivium the sin and the sentence or thrown into the fire. Love the channel!!
WOAH WOAH WOAH you can’t just request bleed off the bat like this. I mean this song is a legendary banger, but damn it’s an overwhelming song to introduce Meshuggah
You should check this band from Finland and react to it........Wintersun: Loneliness (Winter)
Yes I’ve seen that request before! -Sori🤟🏻
That drum pace is ridiculous! It’s hard for me to find the rhythm but I get it, can’t take anything away from them, they r dam good!
Tiamat - Whatever That Hurts
oh yes!
If you guys have the chance to see meshuggah live just do it! They will blow your mind!
They picked the worst video with the jank ass audio
I'm also glad that you got aneurysm out of the lyrics, that was the original title for this song
240p video, great choice lol
That's what you get when you don't wait until YT completes processing the video. If you check it now, it has 720p bloody 60fps. : /
He's talking about the Meshuggah video they used, the sound is shit.
I don't think pixels affect the sound
AJ Styles Fanboy pixels dont but you can hear the difference between 1080 and 240
The drummer (who wasn't noticed) is the lyricist of Meshuggah and the thing that the vocalist did is called growl !!!
Neurosis- Stones from the sky
Noted -Sori✌🏻
Meshuggah is an interesting band. My personal favorites are " Do Not Look Down " and "New Millennium Cyanide Christ "
Sill waiting for Riverside "Driven to Destruction "
Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree
and another go at Opeth....
You are confusing the hebrew word meshuga with the bands name Meshuggah, wich is a place.
Btw, Watain is a band you should look up! Or Gorgoroth, carving a giant, the video.
jannekrusing ehhh, no, though.
You are right about the meaning of the word Meshuggah. It's also used in modern Hebrew in a slightly different accent.
However, they are not Jewish
That dudes talent is crazy !
Skeksis is outstanding. And then Gene did a drum video on it. *head-asplode*
the original name of the song was "aneurysm", it's nice to see you make that connection as well.
