I have tried this pattern MANY times, and it’s not working for me. I have extra stitches… I dont have enough. I’ve tried going along with the video and just reading the directions. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong!!! HELP!!
Hi Sandy! If you’d like to message me via my Facebook page, perhaps I can try and help you figure out what’s happening 😊 facebook.com/hookedonpatterns/
I am having the exact same issue - the SC2TG is always one stitch further on than it should be so not central. Did you solve the problem in the end? I don't usually have any issues with patterns so am very confused!
Hi Erin, the first sc2tog will be straddling over the base of where you made the 3sc, so that chain stitch should be quite easy to identify as the stitch will be slightly larger than the rest. When you come to make the sc2tog, you should be able to see a chain before this larger stitch, which is where you will start the sc2tog stitch. If you are finding that you are already at this larger stitch after making the 6 sc stitches on this side, you must have skipped a chain somewhere. The first sc of this side should be worked in the same end chain that you finished with 2 sc into. Then it’s 1 sc through the back of each chain after that, making 5 sc. Use the stitches you made on the other side as a guide for working along this side by inserting the hook at the base of the previous stitches. If you still need help, please feel free to contact me via my facebook page as mentioned above 😊
Thank you so much for this detailed reply which I will use to sit down and try again - I was so frustrated as your tutorial seems so clear! Unfortunately I'm not on FB but I think this will help me crack it! 🫶
