I’m an extreme beginner, only crocheting for a week. Sometimes when you said 3 hdc in the next 3 stitches, then adjusted and said an hdc in the next 3 stitches, it got a tad confusing. First attempt wasn’t bad. Will do it again tomorrow.
I realized that. I apologize for any confusion. I’m here to help, so if you have any questions, just shoot them my way. The written pattern is on my blog too if that helps. And congrats on learning to crochet!!! How exciting!
Thank you!! I had a lot of fun making these this week 💕 I was trying to get the heart on a sleeve pattern uploaded tonight too, but I’m beat! It’s almost finished….
I know you probably won't answer, but do you know if we can use the normal pattern to make these into Granny squares or do you have to do a completely different pattern? Also these are so cute❤
Thank you for this brilliant tutorial. These are the prettiest crochet hearts I've ever seen - perfect for bunting or appliqué too! 😍 I'm making one to use as a heart-shaped tummy for a crocheted toy monkey! 🐵❤
Awesome tutorial! Thank you for sharing it 🌸 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me where you got your shirt! I’ve been searching for one for years now and can’t find it. I had one in the early eighties, and it was my favorite shirt. If you wouldn’t mind, can you please tell me where to find one?💗🌈💗
I crocheted the 3 half double crochet and the 2 half double in the 4th chain but I only end up with 2 chains at the end not 3. But it looks like you did 2 stitches of 2 half double crochet after the first 3 stitches of one double crochet. Like instead of four rows of the 2 half double crochets it was five.
The written diagram pattern is missing a few crutial things. I've been trying for days to make that make sense... thank goodness for this video though.
Someone else asked this question and the best this to do is remember to keep the two top rounds round - i.e., use double crochet's or trebles to create the arch. Then on by pointed bottom, make sure to do a short stitch, long stitch, short stitch to create the point.
That’s kind of a tough one because it would be an entirely new pattern. But if you want to experiment with making it larger, I would suggest that you end up doing half double crochet’s or double crochet’s in the top corners and then make sure you point out the bottom.
I found the pattern really easy to do but you say that you can make the heart bigger but how can you do that please ? I only want to add one round of the half double crochet into the back loop.
You can make it bigger by using a heavier weight yarn, increasing your hook size, or adding another row of hdc. Just work a hdc around, doing three in the top of each circle of the heart and a (1 hdc, ch-2, 1 hdc) in the bottom corner of the heart. Hope that helps!
You went to fast for me it would have helped to have the stitches written so I could hear and read the instructions if they were written I didn’t have time to catch it
11:47 this is where I have no idea how there is enough stitches to make the repeat of 3 then doing 6 singles. I must of messed up on round 2 but I'm so confused at this point
It's a little bit of an unusual pattern....but I've messed up counting SO many times. Frog it and start over. Somewhere along the way you probably dropped one.
The diagram, 36 steps, is missing A LOT! The first ss to join r1 isn't clear. What this person is referring to is the missing 11hdc on the backside of the heart. As well, you're not clear on how to finish round 4, in regards to the last 2 st. I'm hoping this video clears things up where the diagrams aren't as clear.
The stitches is what makes it beginner. The three basic beginner stitches are single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet. This pattern doesn't use any complicated stitches at all. So it's definitely beginner friendly. :) It's a basic heart pattern and I don't think it gets more basic than this.
Best looking heart in my opinion. Thank you!
Wow, thank you!

Perfect timing! I recently finished a scarf with heart appliques, but the heart pattern just wasn't working for me. I'll be trying yours next!
Awesome! I hope you like it
I made this beautiful heart. It’s gorgeous! I added a picot stitch at the bottom of the heart for a little bit more flair. Thank you 🥰
Wonderful!
These hearts are darling! Thanks for your tutorial! 💜

How do you make it into a pillow? Love your work.

Me too! I did a reverse image search from a shirt I had as a child!

God loves you Elai
Thank you so much Brenda!

I tell you what…this silly little heart pattern was SO hard at times.
How to make a biger heart? Tks so much

Did you ever do a video on turning into a square?
Thank you for reminding me!
Would you Please tell me how to enlarge twice the size like make a small pillow,? Thank you so much❤

Holaa, voy a hacer el tutorial, pero como estampado de vaca. Espero me salga bien
Good luck with it
How big can I make this heart
I want to combined them
To make a heart blanket
You can probably keep going with the pattern. I haven’t tried doing that yet.
Hello teacher can you please kindly teach me how to make it into larger size
Use a larger hook size and yarn
Is there a written pattern I would love to have one
Yes, the link for the written pattern is in the description I believe.
If I continue with the pattern will i be able to have a Huge heart
Yes, you can probably do that if you’re an avid crocheter, and you know how to do increases for sure
I found the pattern really easy to do but you say that you can make the heart bigger but how can you do that please ? I only want to add one round of the half double crochet into the back loop.

When you say put 3 hdc in the top do you mean where you would join the new colour ?
Sorry for the delay - I just mean where you are making the tops of the humps for the hearts.
You went to fast for me it would have helped to have the stitches written so I could hear and read the instructions if they were written I didn’t have time to catch it
This pattern is written free on my blog, so you can! stardustgoldcrochet.com/crochet-heart-pattern/
It was a little too fast haha

I want to do a big Big heart but I can't make the math right
Use a larger hook and yarn weight
What is your final stitch count at the end of each row?
Edit: _Anyone?!?_ 🤔
In the pattern on the blog :)
The pattern was so clear until the third round :(
I'm not sure what you mean? The written pattern has the details, maybe that will help clear it up?
@@stardustgoldcrochet I agree. as a beginner I had no clue what you did after. I haven't learned all the patterns yet
The diagram, 36 steps, is missing A LOT! The first ss to join r1 isn't clear. What this person is referring to is the missing 11hdc on the backside of the heart. As well, you're not clear on how to finish round 4, in regards to the last 2 st.

Definitely not for true beginners

Definitely not a beginner tutorial, very hard to follow and the pattern is not very clear
Sorry you're having a hard time.
