I love rainy days. I used to have my computer right next to the window, and i would open it and play video games with the sound off, and just listen. unfortunately, i got emancipated and moved out, and i now live with a friend. Sadly enough, my room doesn't have a window, and the hum of the house circulation fan ruins any sound from raining. Listening to this takes me back to a simple, happier, and calmer time of my life, and i thank you. It's nice to stop and breath every now and then.

I don't know why I love rain so much, I think it adapts to every emotion I feel. This is the best video of the sound of rain I've found so far, I can almost feel the raindrops (and I live in the desert). I recommend listening to another song simultaneously, that's pure magic. I have heard rain on so many continents while travelling, it is one of the most peaceful and beautiful sounds in the world... but this, omg its amazing so pure, so elegant. It reminds me of a time I was in Canada sitting by a lake... I could have stayed there forever, and you have taken me back, words cannot express the deep and heartfelt appreciation I feel, thank you so .. so much for posting this, you dont know quite what it means to me. It sounds almost biblical, it almost made me weep. x

Peter Ohnstad Ahh the program I use to download the sounds doesn't allow me to clip audio from anything longer than 30 minutes. The song I added this to was for an animation clip for a contest.((still working on the animation though.))

Heres one more: I watch how the light in the sky flashes in the night, revealing every creature and object in sight; Thunder rumbling loud with ROAR, rushing the birds in the air SOAR SOAR SOAR!!!! The rain drops giving a soothing sound relaxation, and soaking men with every drop, dropping on their heads with mass weight, and rushing down from the sky as time all of a sudden stops. I'll end this poem with this, and that is nature is cool, rain rules!

As a child I have always had this old creaky camp in the adirondacks and it had amazing acoustics especially with rain on the roof this calms me down so much

i live in florida and during the summer months it rains like this every single day for about 30 minutes with thunder as well occasionally. Its so relaxing. When the real rain stops here, i listen to this! i love it

Thank you, these are helping me calm down from a panic attack. Being in a strange big city away from home, away from nature I can disappear into when I am overwhelmed with people only adds to it. Nature and the sounds of it are the greatest thing ever to help.

My mom had a cd that had this stuff on it, works great to sleep with. Turn off the tv pop this into cd and put in player and you will be asleep within 5 minutes. And releaves stress. I love it thanks for posting :)
