Looks ok, there's a lot of distortion at the frame edges of course, the lack of a real lens is very noticable. The best feature was the zoom, janky but crisp 🫤 01:33 The truck driving past you looked really strange. Like it was entering Hyperspace ... LoL Colors are a bit Samsung hyper real...
@@edwardfletcher7790yah I concur what Google thinking looks like this running on cheap sensor or got lazy on coding not be rude but if I had edit this I don’t know I mite have hard time fighting with bright clashing colors
You know, I don't know. I'm not a videographer. I see it's partially overcast. When you look at the playback vs. how your eyes see the same scenery. Is there any difference in brightness or contrast? Don't most devices with 12x Zoom have some distortion? I would rather have slightly over saturation of color, especially with this location? Using a Samsung Tab S7+5G for viewing.
No, it doesn't seem to be a problem with my machine. For example, the traffic lights and lighted signs in the scene right after the start of the video are flashing very badly. I'm sorry if the translation is poor because I used Google Translate.
I have a Pixel and was hoping to see big improvements for the Pixel 9. Seems to be less noise but it looks over processed and smooth overall. The white balance is a little cool as most of the white objects looks blue. but I like the overall colour stauration. Good balanced contrast. Still not a patch on iPhone and a bit behind Samsung.
Got a pixel 9xl pro for only $200, after i traded in my 5 year old Note 10+. Maybe take care of your current phone and you could actually trade it in for a new pixel.
Tokyo is the best place i have been for Vacation its like going to onother planet comparing to a paradise island that is just onother beach. Can you film some underground cosplay clubs I know is ultra difficult even to get in if you are not Japanese. Ive been in one were they did the so called art Kinbaku and Shibari a dressed cosplay with ropes. And i passed broad day light from a store that was emulating a classroom were males were sitting on desks drinking coffe from student dressed Japanese girls. ( There is no nudity but still you cant enter the establishments as a Gaijin)
I never understand the flickering. (I had the some issue in Japan). They say if you use 25/50fps it should be fine. But what setting do you have and why do some signs flicker and some dont?
Watching on a 1080p monitor. Seems a little blurry to be honest. Looks sharp on the optical zoom - then obviously full digital zoom is quite pixely. Colours are good, seem realistic and accurate to very slightly muted, but I take it it's a slightly overcast day. It definitely lacks sharpness/definition though.
Impressive dynamic range and colour reproduction, and amazing zoom quality with perfect stabilization, however.... That flickering is really not good. It seems to be using an algorithm to produce a HDR like SDR image by interpolating frames between 2 different exposures, but the sync is slightly not able to keep up with the refresh rates at certain exposures. It's really noticable when there are lights in the scene. Also that zoom is so choppy it's not nice to look at when zooming in and out. It seems like they need a firmware update to iron these problems out Other than that, for a phone this is really amazing. I have an expensive DSLR with a Tamron zoom lens which cost a lot of money and it's not as sharp as this.
If you mean the flicker of LED lights that's just due to the difference between them and the fps of the camera. Any camera would experience the same. You can't really magically get rid of it.
Bad quality. I'm surprised that this is the only thing you can get with this phone.Six years ago, in 2018, I recorded that same area of Kabukicho with my iPhone X and the results were much better.

Good colours and the zoom is great quality.👌👌
Looks pretty good actually
Don't believe what they show you
Nice resolution
wearing headphones, you can hear those railway tracks on the right side, so good audio separation 12:09

My love for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL 💕
beautiful! love the colours and the audio is SUPERB
I think this looks great. Also, I was cracking up at 3:40 when you accidentally caught someone dancing outside of Starbucks.
Can you also do it with countryside..?
SO GOOOOD SO GOOD YES
Thank you for sharing 🙏❤️, beautiful scene 👍
It's a shame that there was no improvement in the flicker. Is 10bit HDR not available in this year's model at 4K60fps?
Not detecting any flicker on my displays or phone. Sounds like a refresh issue on yours.

Can you do the 8K video boost video?
I think it needs to be warmer and have more contrast, but the HDR is good
The video is SDR though?

Looking so good! Is this video boost?
Nope not video boost, but will be uploading that soon!
It's better than I thought it would be. I give it til about the Pixel 11 when the Pixel video is better than iphone.
When tech reviewers say iPhone is the only one for video don't believe them, we consumers will be happy with the above quality
Awesome quality..! But over 1000 Bucks for the Pixel is really expensive...

It looks kind of grainy on my end. Not sure about anyone else though.
How can a digital video be grainy? You mean pixelated?
❤🇯🇵❤️
Looks good but why does it still have that stutter while panning sometimes?
Because it just does.
It's a bit like blurry. Also, I hope you come stream with us soon. I miss it and I miss seeing Japan!

So I guess the pixel media embargo has dropped?
