I wish more RUclips videos were like this. No obnoxious commentary or unnecessary self-promotion. Just a well edited, immersive video showcasing your adventure. Good job!
I agree some videos are already sponsored by the province and yet they are still advertising other products instead of focusing on good content. Plus some are so whiny, I just want to appreciate the view and the experience.
@@LE-LU I can only agree, especially the scenic shots of the mountainous landscapes and forests are absolutley stunning! The contrast to the absolutley huge cities must be incredible!
What I like about this journey is that you capture a lot of moments. It's not about speed, it's not about hundred kms per day. It's just cycling and enjoying the journey. Great video!
Great video. I did this ride last year while I was living in Japan. It made me so nostalgic. The riding in Japan is world class and I can't wait to go back and experience more of it.
Thank you for the beautiful video. I did the same bike journey in 2015 with three of my best friends. An absolutely unforgettable experience and one of the best things I’ve done in my life. Your video brought me back to that time. Thank you so much.
Beautiful video! I did a similar route in 2020 during Covid. Nara and Kyoto were deserted as tourists were not allowed in Japan. It was an amazing ride. If you come back to Japan to cycle, I highly recommend cycling in Shikoku. It is like a time-slip...
Hi everyone I am a Japanese person who happened to meet this video. In the summer of 2023, I traveled by bicycle from around Mount Fuji to places like Kyoto, Osaka and Ehime.I also used ships. "It has been more than half a year since my trip, but I was able to remember the wind at that time, the time at the rest area where I stopped by, and the casual scenery that soothes my mind and body." 日本に来てくれてありがとう😊
Awww, heartwarming and a lot of saudade. Beautifully made! I loved the forests in particular, what a glory. ❤ And the spirit of Japaness transport personnel has maybe never been captured more adequately with the still of the wheel stoppers put on the inside of both wheels on the ferry.
During May to September 2023, I was in Japan. You undertook the journey I wished I could have experienced - exploring Japan by bike. Thank you for sharing your account.
Thank you for taking the time to create this video and share it with the world. Such a beautiful showcase of a country I plan to visit next year with my partner. I was expecting a typical bike packing video with two dudes who aren't very funny or interesting talking too much, but this was art. :)
What a beautiful movie. So calm and captivating with perfect music. The scenery and nature was really one of the kind. Traveling through Japan is one of my biggest dreams.
This was beautiful. The scenes, your editing, the music choice. Loved every second! Shoutout to the youtube algorithm for bringing me here lol Can’t wait for more of your trips!
Beautifully shot and edited, with lovely music. Can't wait for more videos of this quality! The pleasure of strolling through the streets of towns and villages, the very special atmosphere of these streets, the landscape scenes... everything reminds me of my many books by Japanese photographers.
It’s feeling like “appreciate” why you guys came to Japan which is my country and You guys really had a fun while stay in Japan I don’t know how much struggle to bring your bikes to Japan but It was amazing idea! It’s genius trip plan! I wanna try one day Tokyo to Kyoto with my bike because I’m living in Japan and I’m Japanese that I should do as soon as Thank you made comfortable video!I glad to discover this!
Love the artistry of the bamboo forest for instance. No language barrier with the video, apart from the writing of the day’s episode. I have the bell on if you two post another video. Thanks.
Did almost the same route by car just recently. It's so beautiful and I'm very jealous of you having gone through it without rushing! For anyone wanting to replicate this, I'd recommend having a day break in an onsen and visiting Koyasan in addition to this route.
This was a truly amazing video. I found it while contemplating a bike tour in Japan and it was definitely inspiring. I found myself immersed in your experience.. Thank you!
You don't know how special this video is for me. I"ve been dreaming since forever of doing a bike trip with my best friend across Japan. You guys have inspired me a lot. It'd be cool if you posted a guide with tips, budget, itinerary... Greetings from Brazil!
Wow! This means a lot. Thank you, and really happy it inspired you! You can find more details on bikepacking.com below: bikepacking.com/plog/tokyo-to-kyoto-by-bike-video/
I cycled around Tokyo - Odaiba - Yokohama with my Helix Ti folding bike this time last year, and I can't imagine lugging 2 full bike boxes on the train from Narita? to Tokyo. I left my bike bag with the airport luggage transport valet and received it at my hotel the next day. The goal of that trip was to bike from the foot of Fuji-san (Kawaguchiko near Lake Yamanaka) to Odaiba. The weather did not cooperate (snow), so I cycled around Tokyo. Hope to do similar as you the next time. Thanks for sharing!
Really nicely done. The video and edit capture the feeling of rural Japan. I have hiked the Japanese Alls and skied there and in Hokkaido. It is all so beautiful. Biking is next!
I went to Japan for the first time earlier this year and miss it, which is how I found this video. Thanks for the lovely memories and showing me so many parts of the country I didn't get to see on that visit!
After watching your inspiring videos of cycling adventures.'m captivated by the idea of cycling from Pakistan to Azerbaijan, traversing diverse landscapes and experiencing the rich cultures along the way alonly. Thank you for igniting this spark of adventure within me.
Thanks! Very enjoyable video. Personally so nostalgic too! Years ago, when I lived in Japan, I used to ride weekly between Kyoto and Obama, ~90km, through the mountains. Return ride was usually at the sunrise (after a night shift), and those moments of riding through foggy mountain forests, lit by early sunlight, remain the best moments of my whole life!
I'm fed up with influencers showing there face only so thank you for this well edited video. I wish I was there. Even without commentary you made me laugh when I saw those wheels with tape : ) Genius!
I can't add anything meaningful to what people have said...exquisitely simple and peaceful. So well put together...I didn't want it to stop! Yes, awesome tranquil soundtrack too. Thanks for sharing your experience in the way you did. More please.
Very well edited and beautifully constructed. For others, Kyoto was never bombed during WW2 and is like stepping back in time. I like the idea of making the rollers which you can reuse .. smart
