I remember i was 7 yrs old and escaped my cousin's wedding to watch spa '98 on TV and my mind was blown
Put around 30 drivers (15-25 years of age) in 400 HP race cars on a track in which you're traveling at top speed for 90% of the way.

I can't help but feel some of those incidents were hard to avoid. There's so many cars on the grid, and Monza's not exactly the widest.
on the other hand these cars are tiny and only recently they raced around here with like 50 gt3 cars.

I remember watching this race live! It was CRAZY. What people don't remember is that the whole season was like this to some degree. There was some AWFUL driving in 2015.

Yes I also think that you have to be especially careful in junior categories with punishments because as you said they will carry on their dangerous driving behaviour and be danger for themselves and even worse to others as well.
Exactly, look at grosjean for example early on in his career, it's a prime example. Obviously he was an advocate for safety in the end but you've got to be super careful as you say

As a Swede it is great to see some content about Felix Rosenqvist. Even if its mostly about all other drivers crashing in to each other while he takes victory in all three races

Seeing some of these names altogether is just weird now, that a lot of them have established careers even if they didn't make F1, likes of Rosenqvist, Illott, Gunther, Dennis, Sette Camara are some of the highest rated drivers never made F1. Not to mention the drivers that are in F1, Stroll, Giovinazzi, Russell, Leclerc. And also have Albon and Fittipaldi who are no longer in F1 but have raced (even if only 2 races Fittipaldi has raced). The previous season also had Ocon, Verstappen, and Blomqvist again 2 F1 drivers and one of the highest outside of F1.
It weirdly was very stacked with talent. It had its throw aways obviously, also its resident dickheads. Quite ferociously thinking about Ferruci and Mazepin. But overall was quite stacked for a Formula 3 series.
Yea this was exactly why I decided to make this video in the first place... So strange
The fact that ive heard of about half of these people despite being a casual watcher and it still had all of these crashes makes it even better
Talking of misorganised races, I would include Malaysia 2009 in there. At the time, F1 had been racing there since 1999 and since 2001 as round 2 of the season in late March/early April. So you would think that they would be aware of the climactic conditions of Malaysia in monsoon season right? Apparently not. In 2009, inexplicably, the decision was made to force the race start to be changed from 2PM local time to 5PM local time. The result was inevitable. Even before the race began, there were ominous black clouds on the horizon as viewed by cameras positioned at turn 1, looking back down the pit straight. The race started in dry, but sultry conditions, but after the first fuel stops, the rain began, as drizzle initially, but then increased into the typical monsoon thunderstorm that occurs at that point in the day in Monsoon season in Malaysia. The weather deteriorated to such an extent that thunderbolts were causing interference with the coverage and people working in the pit lane were running for cover. The race result was declared 31 laps into the scheduled 56, marking the first time since the 1991 Australian Grand Prix that a race was declared before 75% distance, meaning half points were awarded (incidentally, that race at Adelaide was declared after 14 laps)
Man even i’m fed up already before the video’s finished 😂. But yeah my god that race is worse than I expected honestly and some drivers rightly so deserve those punishments they are getting. Great video as usual Will 👏🏻. Still waiting on that Ticktum video as well btw 😂

it's like someone at the beginning of the weekend said "ok, whomever pulls off the riskiest, most daring move this weekend will get an immediate F1 seat at Ferrari!" and the resulting ensued.
This looks like all of my early training sessions and races on Monza compressed into one F3 race.

I mean, there was also the 1960 Belgian Grand Prix where out of nineteen entrants, where Mike Taylor was paralysed after crashing through a tree, Stirling Moss broke both legs after a crash of his own, Chris Bristow was decapitated by a fence in a crash and Alan Stacey got burned to death after being knocked out by a passing bird.

rosenquist is a driver i know because of him driving for maclaren in indy nad nothing else, so seeing him turn up here and doing so good is a neet surprise.
I’d argue the Champ Car 2002 race at Surfers Paradise Honda Indy 300 is technically the worst race of all time. Started behind the safety car due to the weather, continued under the safety car for the entire race. Most teams thought that as soon as it reached half distance, the race would be called off - so no one made a pit stop, apart from the back marker Mario Dominguez. When it was apparent that they were going to be forced to make 2 pit stops while under the safety car. Dominguez went from 18th to 1st and won the race... under the safety car after 2 hours. 😂
Not a race I've heard of but blimey sounds like fun, could be a video idea for the future!
