Looks good.. I did the same things with a larger piece for a local BBQ restaurant. I made 2 plain wood ones.. I made an intricate wood piece.. And I made an intricate acrylic piece. I wish I could post pics here lol.. I do acrylics all the time this way..
This looks awesome. Since I don't have a laser yet, I would really love to see how you did the actual laser cuts. I hope you find the time and inclination to show that too! Thanks for sharing.
That is really nice! I love it. Will be trying this. (It's a lot of work and time so probably wouldn't be cheap, but VERY cool!) Thanks for the video and tips!
Have you tried to use a flame to remove the frosting effect? I worked for a company that did laser work and to clear the edges back up after cutting we used a small torch..
I really appreciate your work bro I didn't mean nothing else I wish if you have had done it step by step for your subscribers rest lots of love and respect
Nice work! Did you spray the gray paint over the peeled back portion in step 2. And then the gold acrylic in step 3. Seems like there are 3 paint layers for the red portion (red, gray, gold). two layers for the gray portion, (grey, gold), And the gold portion only has the single layer of gold acrylic. Is this correct?
Great video. Would you consider doing a hands-on step-by-step version?
I just uploaded a step by step version of this. The audio isn't good due to all of the ambient noise in the shop, but hopefully it is helpful!

Clever idea! So simple. Definitely going to try this
nice work , what is the best way you have found to finish the edge?

NICE final result!
Awesome results. Well done.
Great job! Shouldn't it be "Chilli" instead of "Chili" though?
Very cool!
Have you tried defocusing the laser during the engrave to eliminate some of the fine lines and potentially the need for the second pass?
came to the comments to say this. Also, use extruded acrylic and the engraving will be clearer, as opposed to frosted.
@@danieldale1770 this is extruded. Do you mean cast acrylic?
Great video, thanks for sharing!!!

I think these are two pieces of 2.4mm clear acrylic pasted together one painting black and other painted brown and both pieces are engaged
Why do you think that? It’s pretty clear in the video, it’s one piece.

No problem. I am currently making this years awards and I will do a step by step
Nice work!

Thanks for sharing , you are amazing 👍
Impressive!
That came out real nice! Did you deep engrave it as a solid black or did you use any dither pattern?
Solid black
I really don’t understand how you got the different colors
great tutorial ... and great job
Thanks for the video...gives me some ideas for future projects.
Very nice!! ❤️
How do you cut the outline for the masking without cutting into the acrylic?
High speed, low power
What brand laser?
Universal Laser Systems VLS 6.75
Beautiful
was this CO2?
That's gorgeous. To much work and mess for me though.
wish you would have shown every step, even the laser part.
