Somehow despite all the bangers Petra produced over the years, this one just remains my favourite!
Wanna go directly to the throne room of God? I do it everytime I listen to anything Petra plays. Amazing. Music we will listen to forever. Literally. Lots of people in heaven I think about meeting. My parents, the saints but there's only one Person who she'd His blood for me, to make eternal life possible, and that's my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without a doubt Petra was the best Christian Rock band ever!.. Greg X with his vocals as high as a guitar chord. Simply amazing!

Greg Volz has one of the best voices in Christian rock IMO. Could really hit the high notes back in the day and even here he does at his age...amazing! This is a great tune, never really paid attention to the name Adonai before I heard this song the first time in the 1980s.
Somehow petra really nailed it for the diehard Christians. I'm still a long hair but Petra will always be so powerful in my love for Jesus christ.
I always loved Petra's songs and performances. The lyrics are so solidly Biblical, and the fact that they still have such good sounding voices well past their heyday of popularity is amazing. Most singers lose their high notes as they age, but not Volz and the others (who are singing harmonies even higher than Greg).
I am a big fan of Petra. Their songs are so powerful and inspiring

@jr Rj. Why make those negative comparisions? Greg does a fantastic job and so did Jon in his own way. Somgs like Creed and Beyond belief are all time classics too. And I could not imagine anyone else then John Schlitt sing those two songs.
Just give both singers the credits they deserve for the things they did with Petra.

John was the raspy Christian rock voice of my youth that I loved but Greg's soaring vocals are amazing and I'm an instant fan of him as well. Thank you Petra, you've meant so much to so many!

I grew up as a kid listening to Petra albums every day due to my dad, I began to also, now as an adult I enjoy the lyrics as well, so glad to see Greg, a few years back I moved to Texas and knew no one, I listened to Petra to feel like home, I eventually moved back but Petras music gave me comfort

I got to go see them in concert for the Beat the System tour it was awesome! We were on the fourth row right in front of some of the speakers he sounds just as amazing now as he did then! We hard a hard time hearing for a couple of days but man it was totally worth it!

The OG's! Love it! I was a fan all the way through with the John Schlitz years but my very first introduction to Christian Rock (or anything besides country gospel) was PETRA, The Coloring Song! Greg X still has it!!!!
At age 13 or 14, I discovered Christian music exists when I heard this song in about 1984. Then, I discovered Rez Band, Bloodgood, Stryper, and other bands of high quality.
