Great video Chad, thank you! Finally breaking off and doing your own stuff was the right move. Keep the Speed UTV reviews coming, we will support your channel.
I guess you could consider me one of the test dummies, my car has been through multiple updates, and I am taking it back in for another update soon. Speed has been great with service and warranty, if you take any car and throw a tune on it, there will be parts, and belts that fail quicker. I don’t think this car will be different, if you abuse it, you need to be prepared to prep and replace parts just like any other tuned car.
@@UTV-A looks like everyone that has got one is a test dummy since everyone is having problems. I hope mine is better 1700. They must not of done much testing before delivering.
I ran into a guy into the 250# range, and he said his only issue was a hose clamp. There was a rumor that the Diablo is the best built car, but when I talked to Speed, they said the cars were just further down the line, and quality has really picked up. Once they get to your number, I think you will be totally good!
My friend wanted his speed key until he heard it was going to void white glove warranty. He said it has been destroying the internals of the motors. I don’t think it will be reliable just like the rest of it.
According to Speed’s description of the White Glove Warranty on their website it doesn’t void warranty, to quote: “Speed UTV White Glove Extended Service Agreement is specifically tailored to accommodate the use of the Speed Key and the awe-inspiring 300 HP tune.”
Max broke in both races and Robbie was 3 minutes behind very disappointing. 300 hp and it’s still only as fast as the competition. Something doesn’t add up.
Max Broke a shock in his first race, and rolled in the second, when Max rolled Robbie looped around to check on him, and then slowed down on his second lap to check again.
@@UTV-A it wasn’t anywhere close to 3 minutes. More like 15 seconds delayed. So very close to 3 minutes off in a 15 min race is way off the pace. I was hoping this was where they showed everyone how great the speed key was and how built/problem free it was. I feel they failed in both ways. Very disappointed. I hope they figure out these problems before I get mine.
Ok, Max around the 1:25 mark popping out a little ahead and then pulling away, and kept increasing the gap through the bowl. They are pretty damn quick!
They should handle it. There were some faulty parts in the early cars, but at this point they have it sorted out. The belt may still be a weak link. Hoping for some aftermarket solutions in the near future
My friend just took his in and they said he got lucky that the weight broke off and did not do any damage to the engine. It just went to the bottom of the belly pan. So they said you are good keep driving it. Seems like the problems are not fixed yet. I hope they fix it before I get mine.
Max doesnt have to worry about wrecking the car as he did because daddy will just give him a new one everyone else was out there in their own personal cars that they spent their hard earned money buying and building. Its sad this car needs a key, tune and e85 to keep up with a pump gas pro r and also keep running e85 and see how long that lawnmower engine last.
Polaris Has factory race machines and factory riders, I don’t really see the difference. The Speed cars are not the best Glamis cars, they wanted to come out and test them out. They did the same at KOH, it was not good the first year, then they did well this year. Let’s see how they do next year.
@UTV-A difference is the people earn their seat behind those factor cars and if they crash they know they gotta fix it but him they just put him in another one. This isn't a factory race team with sponsors and drivers that earned their spot this is the owners son trying to prove something completely two separate things but nice try. If robby had his own factory race cars with sponsors and this was a guy that EARNED his seat that would be a different story but it's not its his son. The car isn't good anywhere except hard packed whoops dunes it's horrible unless you click and tune the suspension for it but have fun getting out of your car everytime for different riding spots, desert and rocks ive seen this car fail in every category except whoops is where the car looks good. It has a twin engine that doesnt compare to the rzr turbo r, no live valve suspension option, torque limiter that won't let you go up anything or accelerate off the line quick, no nav, sounds horrible, looks horrible, its way under powered, brakes suck, people having problems with steering and over heating, needs a tune to keep up and the car looks like a kit car it doesn't look like a real production car it looks chinese and that's because it is chinese. All I see is a young kid on dad's dime driving a chinese hisun long travel el Camino. Didn't robby say he left artic cat and OR polaris because they didn't listen to him on development? Now I know why. If I had to same something nice I'd say not bad for a first car but I still think it's trash along with his RC cars, dirtbikes and all the other chinese made crap he's trying to push on people with his name one it. ITS ALL CHINESE!!!
@@motorcyclestig8539remember that mostly everything good comes from china, japan, taiwan etc. The underwear you are wearing is probably made in china lol. So be respectful. This car is a work in progress and the first car that robby gordon mass produces. he has never been a production car maker, he makes custom vehicles made for racing, just look at his short course trucks and how much abuse they can take, or his trophy truck. I am amazed at how well his cars are doing even tho these speed utvs are the first production vehicles he has ever made. I am pretty sure the competition is worried about how good speed utvs will be in the future for sure.
@@motorcyclestig8539your way off base if you think Max isn’t a legit racer that couldn’t make another team. Max is the real deal and will be at the top some day soon. As far as the engine goes I agree that it is too underpowered for the weight of the vehicle.
Its a race car till it breaks then its a production car till the parts are hard to get then its a racecar again, except you shouldnt floor it for a long time because its a production car now.
You video edited together two different racres to make it look like one. He DNF'd the first race when his car stopped working and rolled it on the second race.
I showed a brief clip of Robby jumping, and his name is on the screen, the clips of Max highlight two different heats, and the point was to show how fast the speed key, and then highlight the crash, and what Max Gordon’s thoughts were on the crash.
Not gonna lie. It's disappointing if we can't mash the pedal all the time with e85. I know that's your opinion but if it's based off of conversations with Robby, I'm hoping the reliability is there. I have too much of a heavy foot on the pedal 😂
I’ve ridden with a LOT of tune companies, that tune Polaris, and CanAm, they are replacing broken axles, more belts, hoses etc. I think you can mash it, if you truly want to live the tuned lifestyle, bring extra parts IMO
@@haydenroyer you are right but the company is new and I'm not here to prove a point. I know you gotta let off the gas at times for situations. Used to race back in the day in Barstow and lucerne valley. Either way, hoping the motor proves to be reliable with the e85. There are some that are going to want that power and I do have a 4 seater on order so it appears I'm gonna want that power
Good grief guys put a real transmission in it…So sad for that kinda money their is still belt issues and for the money no one should be waiting on aftermarket support to make something better how crazy would that be?? Jus to hopefully patch it up till it blows a belt again…
Didn’t say it’s as fast , but the HP is up there now with the latest updates, and the newer cars are coming off the line that way. Believe me, my car was making 150 Horsepower at best when I first got it, now it’s a lot better
I'm a can am guy since 2015 owned them all and still own x3's. Did all the mods to chassis and suspension shock therapy everything. My new el diablo blew me away! Doesn't handle of feel like any utv I've ever driven. Only complaint I have is belt Temps. Which when I get that fan mounted to clutch cover fixes that

Awesome vid, Chad. Thanks for posting! 😎 I'm looking forward to receiving my El Diablo.
Congratulations in advance!
Just waiting for my car..... the SPEED key is the reason I ordered one.
Impressive max hauling ass. Keep grinding away at issues.
You think it’s reliable? Haven’t you blown a motor, turbo and more just like all the other speed utv’s? I hear transaxles are an issue too.

Why did the window nets open Thinkn they didn’t do there job ???
The window nets are a great idea, but I’m too clumsy to deal with those every time you open and close, so I don’t have them on my car.
Every time he crashes the window nets have opened. Trusting window nets that fail seems more dangerous.
How does it do with 35s i am hoping to run 37s here in Alaska
Check out my new video where I talk about 35’s😊
If it’s EPA approved to have run 85 why is the key not released?
I don’t think all of the certifications have been approved fully according to RG.
