    Your boost sensor is working perfectly by reading 14.1 psi in Nebraska. Standard atmospheric pressure at sea level is 14.7 psi, but Nebraska is above sea level so pressure readings will be slightly less. The boost sensor is reading atmospheric pressure when no boost is being applied. It should never read zero (unless you're on the moon where there is no atmosphere). If it reads zero, then that means your sensor is bad. Typical gage readings for the Speed car go from 14 to 30 as boost is applied. A reading of 30 means 16 psi of boost is being applied (assuming 14 psi at idle with no boost).

    Have you seen any improvements running those fans, and keeping the windshield on. Honestly, it's the only think I'd really like solved on the Speed, in addition to the belt temps.
    Other than that, the car is bad ass, and no joke in the desert.

      Yes, you can view the specs and videos from our x3 fans. More CFM, Less amperage draw. Is the it the fix all cure all? I dunno. Is it better? Absolutely.

    How much did the temps drop on the Speed after installing your fans? Any back to back data? I like the low amperage draw of the brushless fans.

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  6 месяцев назад

      Were waiting on some parts from speed to get us up and running, so that's the reason for lack of testing and posting lately. There are a lot of variables that go into the amperage draw and CFM. At 13.5v The factory fan starting amps is 10.2 amps and runs at 8.5. Our fan, with 13.5v, operates at 6.9-7 and has a soft start, so there is no amperage spikes. For CFM, it’s impossible to test the whole unit as the fans come on at different times, there is also a multitude of ways to test the CFM. But per fan we know ours pull 1245 CFM, stocks around 760CFM per fan. This is tested at the front of the intercooler, per section, evenly divided / restricted. As far as how much that helps, again its really hard to get the EXACT same tests done. we essentially need 2 cars so we can start them dead cold, run them the same course and time, swap 1 cars fans, and test. Then re-test again. All ideally on the same day so there are no skewed variables and conditions. We got this done on the X3 platform, but those are a little more readily available.

    How’s the Performance Series 10” 12V brushless Puller Fan working out for you? What CFM does it pull? Do you thing it worth the money?

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  7 месяцев назад +1

      Those are our RPM brushless fans. They flow more CFM and less amperage draw. We’re still working on the complete data beings there is 3 fans total. They work great and work better. Are they the absolute fix?Time will tell.

If it was a wheel dyno then there's 26% loss of power to the wheels which is about right. The care is way more beefy then any can am which adds weight. This car has so many problems with it.This suspension is unreal, but the rest of the car is poorly put together with many, many issues and corners cut. when driven hard the doors fly open from chassis flex. I have had a turbo fail at 300 miles, have burned up 10 belts, then ntercooler failed, broken-carcked radiator overflow, fluid dripping and seaping from multiple places. If you plan on driving the car hard, it is not gonna hold up. They did a very nice job on suspension and handles well at high speed in baja environment, car looks good, drives well, juat breaks every single time I take it out. cant get parts easily and have to take it to either anaheim or Havasu. Mine has about 1500 miles. The
    Primary clutch and secondary clutch are way out of alignment from factory..It Burns out belts about every 150 miles Unless you drive it like a seventy year old lady. belt is only aligned in 1st gear. not well executed.. could be a great car if manufacturer would get behind its early adopters and fix this multitude of engineering and manufacturing oversights

    Changing out wheels, cage, bumpers etc makes your car look unique so you don't look like everyone else, plus all the NEW cars have electronic suspension, this utv has no navigation, all the brand utvs look like a factory designed utv the speed looks like a Chinese kit car inside and out and the sound of that thing is hilarious. One more thing the speed isn't a well rounded utv we've all seen these things rock crawl and they are pretty bad the only place I've seen this thing do decent is the whoops. I think the car is outdated. Btw you just said you had issues then said we got a early car and didnt have any issues lol

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  7 месяцев назад +8

      Speed allows you to customize the cars from the factory to make it look different than just 4 models that BRP or Polaris may offer. Live Valve suspension is nice no doubt, but not a deal breaker IMO. Big brands offer their cars either way in regards to suspension. In regards to navigation, Ride Command is the only good on board GPS.... Brp has had it for a year in the UTV's and 3 on the sleds, its a joke at best. The sound isn't great, its just the firing order and cylinder head design, Indeed sounds goofy, but its just a sound. I don't think there's a whole lot of fixing that sound, but other than how you THINK it sounds, its irrelevant to performance. I personally love the look, the cockpit is nice, dash is legit, plenty of leg room. As far as rock crawling, the Maverick R isn't a shining star in the rocks either. As far as our issues, ours is a early car, BUT the clutch issue appears to be isolated and not a "early car" issue. An issue none the less.... BUTTTT lets not forget that this brand new less than 200 mile Maverick R needs motor warranty work, the Pro R grenaded a clutch like many others have in under 500 miles.... I don't have a biased in any way to any brand. I'm just the messenger and I feel like I have a lot of experience in all of the cars in todays market. We'll see how this car holds up. if there's something you want to see or know about, I'll try to make it happen in the next video!

    • @motorcyclestig8539
      @motorcyclestig8539 7 месяцев назад +4

      @RPMPowersports I know speed ALLOWS you to customize the car I'm talking about aftermarket not factory, all the speed cars look the same and ive yet to see a rzr or maverick look the same once people start upgrading them because speed has no aftermarket line there is only acouple companies out there doing anything to them. I had a pro r premium sold it bought a pro r ultimate launch edtion and its waaay better I don't have to get out of the car and click it when I'm out at sand hollow so for the price of these speeds you should get a live valve option, I know can am hasn't had the nav but they do now because of the price of these utvs now and the speed is the same price and doesn't come with it another out of date thing the speed doesn't come with. How I THINK lmao everyone thinks it sounds like a lawnmower EVERYONE!!! Yeah let's talk about performance and how it gets whooped in everything by the competition, the car looks bad, sounds bad and performs bad lol car looks like a kit car, sounds like a lawnmower and cant rock crawl or dune aswell as the rest of the cars. I can't stand the mav r but the speed makes the mav r look like a ultra 4 buggy in the rocks. If I'm spending this type of money on a car I want it to go anywhere I want to go and not be like oh sorry can't join you I bought the wrong car. Like I said can't stand the mav r either but that car has more power along with the pro r and ive had two pro Rs and not one single thing has went wrong with either of them. I've seen so many gearbox, steering issues and overheating issues with the speeds and they haven't even made that many of them you also have to realize the can ams and rzrs are mass produced vehicles so there is going to be problems but with just as little amount speeds made that's bad along with all the problems they ran into before they released them. I agree I'm not loyal to one brand either and now that I own a pro r I'm still not, I drove a mav r and hated it and on top of that saw 2 bend a arms when they first came out right infront of me. I'd never buy a mav r I'd buy an x3 IF I were going to go can am. Alot of people have sold there speed cars because they drank the robby Kool aid and realized it either wasn't what they were promised or it broke down and alot of people have had to ship their car back to robby and since there is only so many dealers your screwed me I go 2miles to my polaris dealer to get it fixed. It's a one trick pony desert car and I'd like to see you take it out of it's element and see exactly what I'm talking about. Watch the video by "desert sxs" called "built jeeps vs sxs challenge" its sad the speed is on 35s the pro Rs are stock and the pro Rs make the speed look pretty bad. Side note the steering wheel and seats suck in the speed no one wants race car seats for daily riding and the steering wheel has no hand controls. Speed car sucks 🤷‍♂️
