they are reliable. just remember things like this can happen with low vin produced cars. (early models produced.) give bmw time to perfect the manufacturing process. is a 2016 328i more reliable than a 2012? yes. they fixed all the issues from the early production cars.
Hello, I watch your channel all the time, go to vehicle virals channel he had the same issue on his M2 with the brakes theres a problem with m2 brakes so he swapped it with g80 brakes because they had better grooves or something trust me check it out plus warranty never cover him
Spends 70k on a car and is delivered a piece of engineering… shit. Welcome to buying new cars, especially BMW’s in today’s gen. It is a terrible decision overall.
Most m’s aren’t covered and most dealers don’t want to help, now I got a shit box, non M 330i 2017 with 210k miles on it. I got it with 28k miles on it from bmw of herb boston, it’s a sulev which covers it 15yr 150,000 miles warranty, little over 2 years ago i was at 142k miles and got over 58 parts covered lol including a catalytic converter. So props to “affordable bmws”
Lmao that’s not stock I have warranty you can’t put rims change taillights any type of tuning can’t mess with a single wire so therefore warranty probably won’t cover what’s wrong with it
I hope you read this but I had the same issue years ago with my F80, F06 and F13 M6. Never again will I buy a BMW. Not only do they have consistent problems, but every single warranty job, they fight you on and make every excuse in the book for anything that isn’t maintence. For example, my brake calipers paint on my CCBs were going from gold to bronze and the paint was failing. No harsh chemicals, just Adams wheel cleaner and they refused to warranty the calipers even though on those brakes it’s known that the paint fails. Or an oil change. They broke one of the drain bolts and tried to charge me for a drain bolt and a washer even though I had prepaid maintenance. Rear suspension failed and they kept the car for a week. Told me they couldn’t figure it out. I told the service advisor to come and ride with me to show him what was wrong. Went to the nearest speed bump and the advisor immediately told me he could feel it. Suspension failed on the front and they tried to deny warranty because I had forged ADV.1 wheels. Other than that the engine and transmission was very good, but these little things you are describing, you will never get those things fixed as they won’t make an effort to actually diagnose the problem. And if they do find the issue they will make up some BS on how technically it’s not covered under warranty. And that’s even if you have the platinum warranty on top of manufacturer warranty. I had enough and sold all of my cars one day. Went to AMG Now AMG makes shit cars. For now I’m only driving American. German brands have too many problems and are not fun IMO.
@@NightNight87 when you’ve owned over 13 high end euro cars, let me know. There are reason why German cars depreciate to nothing after 3-5 years. Nothing but problems. @@NightNight87 Actually Chevrolet is statistically the most reliable car manufacturer, with cars going extremely long with no issues and parts being easy and cheap to buy. I do agree that Ford has some issues with reliability, but that doesn't go for all American manufacturers.
Very common on bmws for front rotors to have excessive runout they’ll replace the front pads and rotors under warranty if they’ve never been replaced before
As someone with an old Z4, sometimes similar happened in terms of brake pedal feeling weird and it turned out to be a bad wheel speed/ ABS sensor could be that but then would be odd considering it's a brand new car, mine was probably due to being 20 years old😭
I had this same issue. Everytime i turned left it was a clunk and started getting shaky when i stopped fast. Shaky a bit at high speeds, It was control arm
brake pulsation is the issue have it on my cars all the time it is common tbh not on a new car so i would just checked it out warped pads and rotors cause it i believe
Control arms u need new arms, was situation with mines, happens when your ball joints are broken, your hearing it connect and disconnect when u hear that sound
My grandpa (a mechanic) always told me not to buy a bmw unless I lived in Europe or I was rich and he never even touched these new ones that I see breaking before 1500 miles
Similar thing happened to me. Few days ago was taking out my F22 M240i 2018, and I normally back halfway into our garage cuz the front lip scratches this asphalt bump meant to prevent drainage from getting into the garage. Anyways, the front wheels were backed against said bump, and instead of pulling out a few inches, I turned the wheel against the bump and heard what sounded like a loud metal snap. Started driving off the car, got a Chassis Malfunction code, and the car would start turning 5-10 degrees to the right as I'd drive off. Got my realignment for $190, drove off, same issue, slightly better but still noticeable. Was planning to take it somewhere in a few days, but noticed on the 3rd day of regular driving, it just... went away? I don't know. Can't make it up. I will say, when I'm on the highway, if I tug the wheel to the left, it straightens out. If I tug to the 'right' it straightens but not completely. Probably will have it checked out again, but definitely worried still.
Sounds like axles maybe bro! Not the end of the world but costs a lil, could be worse. My bmw is pushing over 600+ wheel torque and i just had to replace my rear ones
Went to toyota for maintenance cause was hearing a squeak from my trans, wouldn't do anything because of my exhaust saying it was too loud. Had to take it off and bring it back
My car has been having similar noises and issues but it’s a 2010 and I recently replaced the motor, so I’d assume our issues aren’t for the same reason lol
Just bought a bmw and I tried using toothpaste to fix a scratch but it left a smudge around the scratch where I buffed it which just made the scratch more noticeable. I don’t know if I rubbed off the clear coat or if it’s just leftover toothpaste that’s stained the area. I tried washing it but it won’t go away. Don’t know if I have to repaint it know. The dealership said they couldn’t notice it and didn’t try to fix it but I can easily notice it
My brand new breaks in my car do that and I can’t seem to find out what is happening also only when they get warm, the metal clanking could be a loose sensor
Bro most of these performance fast cars aren’t very reliable it’s gonna need maintenance sooner than other cars depending on how you drive it Also the brand, year and how you take care of the car
Had the same sound a couple years back in my m4 ; sounds like a rock stuck
I think the pressure got to bm saying how reliable they are now😅
You are hoping for that because you can’t afford a m car

Vehicle Virals had the same problem I’m pretty sure ended up being bad rotors and pads from these cars sitting at the docks.
It sounds like it could be a toe link, ive lifted a 2009 rav4 with a 2" lift and the toe links had some issues because it was 2wd, GET A NEW TOE LINK
Could be a rear control arm. Same thing happened with my car
Sounds like axles maybe bro! Not the end of the world but costs a lil, could be worse. My bmw is pushing over 600+ wheel torque and i just had to replace my rear ones
Warped rotors are a common problem on the new G87 because they sat with rust on rotors and you have to do hard braking to take it off
I have an issue on my car that sounds the same and is related to braking from my diagnosis. Could be something coming under stress from your brakes
That's a really nice color.
It might or might not be but I’ve had that happen to me and it was a rock stuck between the dust shield and the rotor
