I upgraded my G502 (wired) to my first serious wireless mouse - the G903 last year. At first, it was a very jarring switch, the change of shape was obviously very noticeable. I don't find the G903 very comfortable, in fact I find it less comfortable than the G502. Doubling up on side buttons is a recipe for misclicks because the mouse is narrow. It looks more "gamery" which isn't really a positive either in my book. Overall, I'm disappointed. I stuck with the G903 up until now because I thoroughly enjoy the wireless experience on a high quality mouse, but as soon as I can afford to do so, I will be switching back to the G502 with it's wireless Lightspeed successor.
@@odwenz534 tbh I switched back to my wired G502 and only switch to the G903 when I require a wireless mouse. Until the G502 dies I'll be sticking with it before going to the wireless G502.

I just bought the powerplay for 105 euros. It’s indeed expensive, BUT it’s such a nice feeling mousepad in general and It provides that wireless charging. I would say I’m fine with the price with what I got.
Had the G903 since 2017 (yes I had to replace the switches!), I also have the powerplay mat which I highly recommend. Only thing to note is that you can't add weights with powerplay as the weight housing is replaced with the charging coil.
Well I hope you got the g502 Lightspeed. If your right handed It’s definitely better. It had a DPI error percentage of 0.2 percent which is incredibly low and probably the lowest if not one of the lowest while the 903 has a DPI error percentage of a little over 2 percent.
I’ve had to RMA two separate g903 for double click issues as well as losing sync intermittently when the dongle is within 1-2ft. That being said I love the g903 and there is a fix to the double click if you don’t want to RMA. Ended up fixing my 2 broken ones and have backups now thanks to Logitech!

I've been long term testing all of the G series mice, and Razer Viper/Basilisk. The 903 has been the winner even over the ultralights. lmao this happened to me too. G903 double clicking on a single click. Wanted to get a Gpro but none in stock so went for G502 lightspeed. Arriving tomorrow, will be interesting to feel the difference.
Gökhan BigG I still have the earlier G903 and yes it’s started the dreaded double, treble right click error........anybody know if Logitech have new switches in the latest or still the same ? Don’t wanna buy for the same to happen again
Just returned g502 to back to market because of broken left button functionality. It lasted less than half year and dragging objects start to have problems.
Be careful with g903 wireless. Mine as well as a lot of other people's became pretty much unusable after 6 or so months. Double left click is very common and on mine holding right click is almost impossible, makes playing most fps almost impossible.
Regarding the mouse wheel, I don't recommend the Razer Basilisk's. We use 3 at home, and have had several more. The wheel sometimes misses a scroll and/or then makes a double scroll next time. From brand new. It's just a faulty design in that regard. The shape of the Basilisk is almost exactly the shape of the G502, and that's why I bought it. I was running away from the shitty G502 click components that make you missclick or double click after a few months. This also happened to my wife.
For me it comes down to ergonomics. Ambidextrous mice just feel awful to me for some reason. Right-handed mice with thumb rests will always beat the competition for me.
Same! i prefer ambidextrous mice though. I used the logitech M325 in school so i kinda got used to ambidextrous mice, i now use the razer mamba and razer basilisk x hyperspeed which both focus on the right hand (obvious, but i’m a righty.) not too much of a weird change but i still do like ambidextrous mice
i have the first version of the 903(not lightspeed) had it since 2017 and recently it just started to double click after 6 years. at the time i got that 903 was the premium product and the base product, which is cheaper is the g pro wireless. but all of that changed since and now g pro wireless is significantly more priced than the g903-overall ok mouse
Im right handed and use all buttons setup on my 903 on right i have stuff like battery level display and discord mute while on left side i have vvvvvery helpfull enter button set to far button while having back left clear for anything that any game can come up with
Well, it's good for some and bad for some. Only my phone uses USB-C when my bluetooth headphones, gaming headphones, bluetooth speaker and keyboard are using micro usb. For me, micro usb is better right now, because I don't need to have both cables on my desk.
Currently have the g903. I thought the g502 light speed would be better. After buying the 502 to compare I found out my g903 was still more comfortable than the g502 AND the g903 is lighter which is noticeable if they were at least the same weight I would have kept the g502 also.
Das Archiv no I wish I did lol. But the battery like for the old version is not that bad. If it needs to be charged I just plug it and go to bed. No biggie but I got my son the g703 hero because the put the hero version that was around $100 at the time in the section for the regular g703 on clearance for $50. I can definitely tell you that the hero is SSSSOOOOO much more efficient.
That's the new model of 903 as explained in the pinned comment, but also, when it first launched it had a terrible issue with the switches, it was one of the marketing points to have omron switches with 50M click durability, but it seems that with the troubles the switches gave them they removed that marketing point. I suffered with those Chinese omrons, but fortunately Logitech's customer services are amazing, they replaced the mouse TWICE.
Oh as a side note, I got to disassemble the first one (that darn mouse has 42 screws in total!) and catched the problem with the switches, it seems like the copper contacts are bent using heat, which oxidizes a thin layer over it screwing with the contacts. The first two ones started showing issues on their first two months, but now I'm about a year with the last with no issues whatsoever
@@dasarchiv3508 tbh te clicking issues seem to be mostly gone, a couple of friends of mine ended up buying the same mouse with no problems, being the oldest 9 months with the mouse, and the latest replacement Logitech sent never had a hiccup, and I had it for about 10 months. Seems that if you have those problems they're quick to show up
@@derchesten thx for response. That sniping button of the g205 is disturbing me cuz I'm pressing it every time I move the mouse. So I have the decision between 703 (I like its compactness) and 903 (battery life is wow). I don't want to end up contacting Logitech every month because of click issues
Great video, thanks so much! Can I ask if any of these mice has a metal body? Also, has any of these mice a metal scroll wheel (as opposed to the plastic ones on Corsair and Razer)? Are both mice on micro USB, or is there one with USB C? And finally, if I am not using the mouse for a few hours (with the computer still on), is any of these mice going to a “battery save”’mode? Thank you! For reference, I was about to get a Corsair ironclaw but wanted a metal body, metal scroll wheel and sideways tilting function on the scroll wheel (and I understand that neither the ironclaw nor the basilisk have them).. Thanks a lot once more!
G502 Lightspeed doesn’t have a metal scroll, or body as far as i know, the old wired version of it had a metal scroll and it would rust pretty quickly, so a plastic one is better imo. The G502 also has a battery save mode which you can enable or disable in the GHUB. For me a mouse with too much metal is too heavy and problematic (mainly due to rust). Also, no USB C version too i think. No idea about the G903, i only own the G502 lightspeed.
Which one has more battery life then? They look the same and seem to have the same specs, sensors and tech with looks as the only difference so I'm guessing there is no difference? In the video you say the 502 has more battery life but then in the comments its different so I'm a little bit confused
@@TheProvokedPrawn I will, but I'll be moving around for work so my desktop and everything is in storage for the next year. With that in mind is there a battery difference? And if they do I wonder why since they are essentially the same?
Just a quick sidenote: Dont buy a G502. Ive got 2 of them over the span of a little less than 2 years and on both mice the right mousebutton started to die and have extremely frustrating bugs after only a few months of casual gaming. You can find hundreds of reports of this happening and Logitech just doesnt give a damn about it
It's the same with the G903. I've replaced 2 within the space of 2 years lol. Unfortunately all the premium logitech mice, use Chinese Omron switches which are prone to failure in a very short time. Pretty sad that logitech are still using shitty switches despite having known of this issue for multiple years now.
I just bought the G903 it was on sale for £50 on amazon prime day down from £80. the G502 was full price at £90. I think comfort wise it’s just ok at best.I don’t like the way my pinky always touches the desk holding this mouse. Also the scroll wheel isn’t good in either position. overall a little disappointed. I definitely wouldn’t pay full £80 price for it. The G502 seems to be much better but I couldn’t justify paying £40 extra over G903. maybe I should return it and just get another humble G305.nothing fancy but that mouse is super comfortable and fast. it’s £35 so I thought £50 for G903 was a better deal. There’s also Razer Basilusk X at £40 Decisions decisions

Hey, nice rview ! I'm currently hesitating between those 2 mice : G502 HERO (wired) and G903 (PMW3366 version for its prize). Is there a huge diffence between those two sensors ? I'm a casual player, I play a lot but it can be FPS or MMORPGs or else. I'm thinking about having a wireless mouse, and something not too heavy : so the G502 with the wire and its natural weight... meh. But I would love to have that extra thumb button and two more on the left click, even though we can have two more buttons on the right side of the G903. So... I'm kind of lost. Any help ? Thanks ! g502 spectrum right click is not as crispy as left main click, what about g502 hero version? does anyone knows the left click feel of hero version??
Same thing
Size comparison would be really helpful
i got the 903 lightspeed, had to change it to g502 lightspeed cause 903 right click had a maulfunction i am happy.
lmao this happened to me too.
@@Gazza__W not sure, good job they offer a 2 year warranty lmao
Thank you this will help me decide which I would prefer to purchase
Not a single side-by-side shot? Or did I miss it?
Thanks for the feedback. I have improved since this ancient video and now do include side by side shots
What would you prefer if you wanna use the mouse in claw grip style ?

Very nice of you to say so and thanks!
Just returned g502 to back to market because of broken left button functionality. It lasted less than half year and dragging objects start to have problems.
Be careful with g903 wireless. Mine as well as a lot of other people's became pretty much unusable after 6 or so months. Double left click is very common and on mine holding right click is almost impossible, makes playing most fps almost impossible.
may i ask u something ? can we use the g903 with only the receiver without the dongle/adaptor ?
Yes
@@TheProvokedPrawn is there any difference between using the dongle and not using the dongle?
the cable is just to extend it so it's easier to access if you need to and perhaps to extend the range if your PC is tucked away out of reach.
@@TheProvokedPrawn owh... so it doesn't effect the latency ?
@@bimbus.2319 I don't believe so.
Recomanda comprar?
903 looks like a Hercules beetle which is odd but cool
G502 looks big but once you put your hand on it expect it to be a 1-3-1 finger placement or finger tip grip
Im right handed and use all buttons setup on my 903 on right i have stuff like battery level display and discord mute while on left side i have vvvvvery helpfull enter button set to far button while having back left clear for anything that any game can come up with
What’s that thing displaying the question mark in the beginning ?

It’s a bit annoying they don’t use USB-C for the charge cable as they do for the MX range of keyboard and mouse.
After buying the 502 to compare I found out my g903 was still more comfortable than the g502 AND the g903 is lighter which is noticeable if they were at least the same weight I would have kept the g502 also.
what about that click/switch problems?
Das Archiv almost 1 1/2 years later and it still works like a dream.
@@Blaquegold thx for reply! Do you have the hero sensor?
Nice story! It's good to hear when companies give users a good treatment
@@derchesten i cant decide between both because of that issues..
I don't want to end up contacting Logitech every month because of click issues
idk if i got this magic g502 but it would charge its self not plugged in if you leave it
Power Play mousemat?
Lol you bought the g502 only for GD i guess
Just so you know, you spelled ‘lightspeed’ wrong in the title. Great video tho!
Hahahaha. Can't believe I didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing it out.
Which has more buttons
Do these scroll wheels have that rattling sound after a while when you shake it?
Hey 1 question is there any double click problems??
I bought the amazing G502 Lightning, I wish it had Bluetooth for travel.
God bless.
i have both, i have no complaints about either one
I wonder, can 1 dongle be used to both connect a Logitech G915 keyboard and G502/G903 mouse? Nice in depth review. like it.
110 grams? lightweight and agile?
Ngl my current G402 is so heavy even these mice seem light to me. I wonder if I should try some of the 60 - 70 gram mice people keep raving about
@@cosmic_gate476 i was using a 104 grams mouse and changed to a 60 gram viper mini and it feels much better
I have the g903 and am planning to get the g502
Which one has more battery life then? They look the same and seem to have the same specs, sensors and tech with looks as the only difference so I'm guessing there is no difference? In the video you say the 502 has more battery life but then in the comments its different so I'm a little bit confused
Get a powerplay mat and you don't need to worry about battery life.
Like sombody said, you can get up to 140 to 180 hours of battery, I also recommend charging it every night and turn rgb off if you don't need, it.
Watching you is a bit like if Bob Ross was a tech reviewer.
Is that a compliment?
G503 is still better if you have it, don't waste money on a G903 its cheaper than G503 and if your a right handed mouse user G503 is superior.
There’s also Razer Basilusk X at £40
Decisions decisions
Light and agile!? I have the G903, it's one of the heaviest mice on the market?

Can we connect charging to laptop directly and use it???
Yes you can

Thanks for the feedback
Hey, nice rview ! I'm currently hesitating between those 2 mice : G502 HERO (wired) and G903 (PMW3366 version for its prize). Is there a huge diffence between those two sensors ? I'm a casual player, I play a lot but it can be FPS or MMORPGs or else. I'm thinking about having a wireless mouse, and something not too heavy : so the G502 with the wire and its natural weight... meh. But I would love to have that extra thumb button and two more on the left click, even though we can have two more buttons on the right side of the G903. So... I'm kind of lost. Any help ? Thanks !
PS : we can still use the wireless mice while chargng, right ?
Yes u can
Thank you!
does g903 have 3 side buttons ?
Four. Two on either side.
no
i have both G502 Hero & G903 lightspeed. i like the G903 better. just my personal preferences.
