I'm so glad you're upgrading your Suby. It gives me a lot of hope for my Suby as I have the 2002 WRX Sedan model. Glad to see more informative and entertaining documentation/how to information. Keep it up dude, you're killing it.
Thats awesome! Cant wait to see the wide body build. Im working on a wide body too but i built mine from scratch so its still coming along. Thank you for all the motivational videos you post. Lots of laughs and we all appreciate it. Hope i can get my wide body channel to even 1/8th of what your channel is! Heres hoping!
Probably prices of old valveguides seals in the bottom of your motor. When they get old and hot they get rock hard and crumble into pieces and fall down the oil drain holes in the heads and end up in the oilpan. Look at your old heads and see if the seals are falling apart .
My best guess to the gunk is that you have mixed non-consumer-grade mineral-oil with non-consumer-grade synthetic oil. Back in the day before consumer-grade oils had additives to prevent this mixing the two resulted in they forming a purple-is gunk. It is chemically a form of synthetic rubber.
Hey Emelia, just came to the comments to say the content you put out is great and is only getting better. I've been here since the beginning and remember coming across your channel on your first few videos and nearly 2 years later i still watch them. Just Keep on keeping on. I know it'll get better from here
I don't know about an LS motor but we built a regular 350 race motor for my sons race car and we cleaned the heck out of it but what we didn't do was pull the oil plugs on the front and the back of the block and clean the galleys when we started it it hardly had any oil pressure so we pulled the motor and pulled the tube and pump and it had crap in it like your motor did and that was the only place we could figure that it came from
for future reference . spray water on the wrap and cover it with black garbage bag material and set it in the sun. the wrap will heat up in ten minutes and come of like BUTTA
I just bought a 2002 Subaru WRX wagon with a STI swap, I have had i for 3 days and love the car, can't wait to get back to work and save up all next summer and pour it all into the car
If its sugar its probably sugar cubes very easy to pour in without any sign of tampering because granules will leave a mess. If you still have some drop it in a cup of water for a day or so the oil should float to the top if it is sugar it will be at the bottom.
Wow! Poop Turd looks SO much better in black. She's gonna be a great car. Thanks for another video Emelia! Where's this great sandwich place, though? Is it a chain- can I find one where I am? Let us know! Love from Michigan.
I have seen an engine ruined by sugar in fuel and I have seen some sugar poured in to the oil before but as rob said it clumped in the pan but it also had reduced some of the oil passages the only way to clean out sugar was to use a steam cleaner then we coated everything with WD40 as the engine was hard to get hold of at the time. it was back on the car within 2 weeks as we took our time putting it back together while waiting for some of the gaskets. we never found who had spiked the engine or how but we worked out it was about 1 kilo of sugar or more. We put it down to spite.
I agree with the sugar. I commented it in the comments when yall discovered it! Some friggn Ahole !!!!!! Keep up the work and love the content from florida
It's strange. Or, not strange, but very peculiar? As the oil was a bit grey as well, could it be that the previous owner left a candy with moisture in it by mistake?
Look up the IAG sti wagon. they have a pretty good series of photos showing the process they went through to do this "wide body" on their website. Years ago I came so close to buying that wagon and am still kicking myself that I didnt.
My dear the easy way to do that is with a heat gun you get a heat gun heat up a 1 foot patch peel it back and then as you feeling it back you keep heating it and it just peels right off like butter well not as easy as it would peel back but it feels back really nice you can have it done in just a couple hours that little car
You need to put a led bar on the roof and take the front bumper of for a steel one go all the way with a exposed exhaust and air filter then the final touch would be a set of shocks and coils to give it a bit more ground clearance for a proper off road beat down
Every time you mention NASIOC I remember back in the day when Nick And Alex called it Impreza-rs.com and I ran ImprezaRS.com where I had a database of 600 Subie websites and sold upgrade parts, including coming up with my own GanzFlow intake. It's been 19 years now, OMG! I sold the business due to poor health and the buyer ran it into the ground. Sad. JUST CHECKED AND MY MEMBER NUMBER IS A LOW 1458, Making me an old timer, since they're over 500,000 members now!
I love that black! The Subie looks really good in black! PoopTurd is going to need a new name now that she's not poop brown anymore lol. I'm excited to see what the widebody fenders look like on the car! Keep up the great work! #ECREWWEOUTHERE #ECREW #WithLove
That torched sti looks like the 6 cell agm has a cell entirely missing. That battery probably blew up and burned it down but most batteries will burn the next cell in line without being properly balanced with the other cells especially if they are missing one. I hope jessie pulls what's left and at least sets it outside so it doesn't burn anything else. Carefully too because who knows what type of shape that thing is in
@emiliahartford If you want to know if it's sugar, burn it. Sure it will burn off the oil as well, but sugar has a distinct color I believe if burned at the right temperature. If you still have some pieces left that is.
I had a customer use a spray gasket product on an oil pan once and the result was a plugged oil pickup and strange material same as what you guys found.
Ever seen a fram filter turn to mush????? Pretty sure that's what's going on here (not saying you use fram filter) but previous owner or parts used for build
Finally we know what kind of oil stuff was in that engine... its come down to only this more likely it's merely simply Shale Oil... that somehow when they let the new guy at the refinery change the final sieve filters to catch the last of the shale when the barrels are filled... before it made it into someone's engine... and probably might ruin it... but we won't go there. How do I know for sure, it was the last thing that happened on the day before I got fired at the refinery for running the fork lift into an oil barrel and trying to cover it up by scooping the spill and oil dry up into a new barrel... and trying to hide it in the back corner of the plant behind the men's restroom when I had to get rid of the overflow from clogging up the sewer that happened on my break. Glad to be out of there after three hell days and getting a check for $.71 after deductions... putain de merde... if you excuse my French!
best thing i found if ur going to street race is put a bad ass motor in a piece of u know what they will bet higher me and my buddy put my 327 running 1200 hp on pump gas in a 75 camero with a big hole in front half of the grill was missing and part of the body was gone the rest was all beat up and one night we made over 8000 racing it just go to spot to spot after that night pull the motor find another car when everybody finds out how fast it is u will get no more races but every so often i like to pay for my car the best i can one more thing i turn the dis. so it runs real bad like something is wrong or switch the one plug wire just fix it when u race just make sure u lock it before u fix the car and do it in front ofpeople and let him talk sh all he want and egg him on so he can't back out . usually on get one race at a spot then have to move on
Test the stuff yourself.... Clean in solvent to remove excess oil... Put some in water and see if it dissolves... Put some in alcohol and do the same. Put some in muriatic acid and see if it reacts.. Heat some and monitor the temp and see what it melts at.....
@DiscoR53 Not your nail!LoL the gunk in her engine was carbon build up. 100% I don't know why that mechanic is acting like this is a mystery. You ever open a valve cover and find like a 1/4 inch build up and scrape some off ?. You disturb that oil homeostasis and you get scenarios like she is dealing with. Probably the guy who owned it before her was in there scraping the heads to get them looking clean before he sold the engine and some fell down into the oil pan and he didnt care because as she mentions he was a shister.
Owner of that Subie was listening to my mixtape...that's what caused the fire!
Great video Emelia! Keep dropping these vlogs, it's a good use of my lunch break lmao 😂✌

I will agree there's something oddly satisfying about peeling off vinyl wrap.
Amazing how the channel has grown. I remember the very first vid and a handful of subs... so awesome!
it was quick clean, for cleaning up oil and stuff. It has been used to sabotage people at other drag strips that I have been to over the years.
B W Wow, people are dicks...
That ending music is just fantastic Emilia!

A girl that can love & appreciate a subie wagon, well...I need one. Lol excited to see how it turns out!
Dude was listening to either Highway to Hell by AC/DC or Disco Inferno by the Trammps.
It turned out all good with the test. No drama. That is good.😉👍👍👌
the whole time you was holding the fuel lifter pump unit... I was saying "plug the pump into the unit, don't forget to plug it in!"

Glad the LS is okay. Thanks Emelia.
FINALLY!!!! Still dont get your choice to get a prius, haha. Glad poopturd is getting some Love.
maybe it was that seal under the oil cap that was left on by mistake in the past and finally flushed threw
Not being sexist in any way, but I’m so happy to see a girl in the car community that knows what they are doing haha! Clean car btw

YAAAAAASSSSS!!!!!!!!! The Subie keeps getting badder and badder! Where does it all end???
Great vlog, keep up the awesomeness!
It's ok kid good thing is it's no abandoned anymore now you know it's clean ride on my friend
If you get a cage or an attachment you can mount your rode mic to your camera...assuming you have a connection for a mic on that camera.

#Ecrew notification squad.... just in time to watch between customers at work!! Bummer about the oil analysis, moving forward tho...
what up E? we way out here get it because of the widebody
I had a customer use a spray gasket product on an oil pan once and the result was a plugged oil pickup and strange material same as what you guys found.
Ever seen a fram filter turn to mush????? Pretty sure that's what's going on here (not saying you use fram filter) but previous owner or parts used for build
Is there the possibility of the oil filter having some sort of material in the manufacturing process left in the filter?
wheres your super car! love seeing you on DDE
looks great in black !!!
Its dirt in the sump from all the dust that got into your engine when you went off track.
Talk to your tuner about carberry rom flexfuel and get the wagon on e85 asap
Is that Jessie's SVO Mustang ??? Collab on that car will get you the VIEWS
In Poland we have few wagons with STi body ;)
here since day one, love from Pakistan 🇵🇰.

I really think it is been tires from burnout with the intake suck in it and that sends it down to the sump has happened to me
The filter should catch most of the tire dust.
Where can I get this wide body kit at??!!
I love the black so much better!
Try rally white and red colored body with gold accents matching the lights and wheels. ;)
Where does the widebody come from? I am looking for a similar one for my bugeye wagon but most I see are for sedans
Ecrew we out here!
Awesome, keep it going :D
How can i get my hands on that Aiwokomete Champion hoodie? I've pretty much worn out the first one I got
I know a company called The Madison Group that can identify the composition of the clumps.
best thing i found if ur going to street race is put a bad ass motor in a piece of u know what they will bet higher me and my buddy put my 327 running 1200 hp on pump gas in a 75 camero with a big hole in front half of the grill was missing and part of the body was gone the rest was all beat up and one night we made over 8000 racing it just go to spot to spot after that night pull the motor find another car when everybody finds out how fast it is u will get no more races but every so often i like to pay for my car the best i can one more thing i turn the dis. so it runs real bad like something is wrong or switch the one plug wire just fix it when u race just make sure u lock it before u fix the car and do it in front ofpeople and let him talk sh all he want and egg him on so he can't back out . usually on get one race at a spot then have to move on
ps do not do this were u live go to different city
Good one..."take your time I'll meet you in a second"
where did u get it? I been looking for one for my blobeye wrx wagon
The subie is great and all but where did you get the sandwich
Great video Emelia. From Jeremy . with love. Sincerely 💝💝💝💝💝
Love it! 🙂 keep going..
The subi caught on fire from vape exploding.. and someone put kitty litter in the LS
lol can you sell a snap back hat that says e crew lol a bunch of us would definitely buy it
Love it!!
@ReliableRaceCars Next vlog, Rob does 170 pushups. 8:16 Get those Gains. 💪😂😂😂
I say the car had a song from My Chemical Romance playing... another subaru bites the dust
There is only one way that subie caught on fire on the interstate bone stock... vape pen😂🤣😂😂🤣
why did you wrap it in red oxide primer... you can have the solids tested, material analysis lab, question of cost, worth it or not
I could’ve used about 30% more purring dog tbh.
Test the stuff yourself.... Clean in solvent to remove excess oil... Put some in water and see if it dissolves... Put some in alcohol and do the same. Put some in muriatic acid and see if it reacts.. Heat some and monitor the temp and see what it melts at.....
I'm pissed. It is carbon.
If you wanna go hardcore CSI, see if a local college science department with a Mass Spectrometer can help out.
Good video
Wow keep the black!!
Car looking good
it looks like you're developing a wide-body yourself
OMG! I’m so late viewing this video....I was at work all day. 😧
this is the only car girl i only know in the car community
That’s messed up some people would do that. I was at Streets and some how a shiny new 3”nail found it’s way into to my tire. Not fun.
It was carbon.
The Guy Who Rarely Lies
It was steel, took the wheel to a tire shop and had it pulled. Construction nails aren’t at the track.
@DiscoR53 Not your nail!LoL the gunk in her engine was carbon build up. 100% I don't know why that mechanic is acting like this is a mystery. A blow dryer would be better than the heater
My Subaru boot always floods to lol
Im not going to miss that colour but I will miss the name, its got to still be Poop Turd!
Use a heat gun to peal the wrap off
I change my mind I thought dark green would look good but now I’m thinking black
