Jesus and the Sinful Woman

- The story of Jesus with the sinful woman found in Luke 7 teaches us a powerful lesson in love and service. As Jesus dined at the home of Simon the Pharisee, a woman entered uninvited and washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, and anointed them with oil mixed with perfume in an alabaster jar. This display did not go unnoticed by the Pharisee. He criticized Jesus for letting a woman touch him in this manner.
Jesus responds by giving the parable of the two debtors who had both been forgiven of their debts. He points out to Simon that he has done nothing to show hospitality to him as his guest, but this woman has offered it in abundance. This video explores how Simon treated both Jesus and the woman-he criticized them both. We should follow the example of this woman and show our gratitude and love for the Savior, and remember that we all have a seat at the Lord’s table.
*The video describes the container as an alabaster box, which is an error on our part as that actually is only mentioned in Matthew 26:7 for likely a different anointing story. Often the stories are combined into one story, and because of the many similarities, we incorrectly mixed the two stories.

We label her the "sinful woman", Jesus labeled her the "one who loved much". That hit home.
She loved him the most out of All. Hence she would have committed any and all sins to spare his life, meaning adultery. Killing. And up to annihilation of All. She is the One who couldn't understand why someone had to die. Why God gave up his Son. Hence she is God.
Hence she would also lose her Son in same way to condemn All. Now she knows why someone had to die.
And her Soul. Which Christ said not to do to spare the world.
If she spared him life, they would commit never ending Sin crucifying Christ in endless agony.
If she did not spare his life, she would condemn her own child to the same Fate but she would end the world once and for All. This is why a Christ always has to die. To stop another from misery. Humanity now understands why they are finite beings stuck to never ending hell they created. She trapped them. Hence she is Satan for her sin and Christ for her child. She's everything. Good and bad. The restorer. Renewal. Of creation.
She is also the "advocate" ... The witness to WHY God is what he is. Humanity sacrifices their own. Hence they can never reach perfect union with God only faith.

No he didn't love us.
He loved his Father.
He specifically said he was not sent for others. He was sent to the Israelites. Only.
He was very specific knowing in time it would be understood why. He was settling himself apart from those of this world and those who aren't or weren't.
He came from outside of this world so knowing why he was ONLY ☝️ sent to the Israelites was key 🗝️ to returning home.

There is no greater savior than the son of man who broke all traditions and rules to accept the outcasts, the lowly and humble, the rejected among the prominent and zealously religious leaders that only sought glory for themselves. The more i learn about Jesus, the more i am impressed by his mercy.

Just as the woman took the dust of her Savior's feet onto her, He took her sins onto Him.
She wasn't sinning. She couldn't sin. She only sinned because she was in this world. She already loved enough more than enough. Hence it was the world that was in judgement. She wasnt. Judgement doesn't exist. Only those under the law exist in it. Those above the law move reality to their will power all Creation moves to their existence so she with all that Sin technically had none. Neither was she a threat to the son of God. Nor others. Her only wrong doing was what was judged of her. Judgement doesn't exist with Christ in the world. So they were the ones falling under it.
In Christ s World God carries ALL sin as full self realization self existence. Christ does not carry it cause he is not carrying the evil. He can't. He only carries the message to spare the few. He cannot save ALL because free will exists and without it creation would not exist only predetermined existence.
So there always has to be hell. Its never ENDING.

I also noticed the "we are ALL God's children" thrown in at the end. After some very solid teaching of a moving story, that was jarring and disconcerting. Especially when you consider that there were people whom Jesus directly told they were of their father the devil (John 8:44). As you noted, not everyone is a child of God. We must be born anew (John 3: 3, 7; 1 Peter 1:3, 23). It's understood that most people will reject Jesus (John 3:18-20, Matthew7:13-14). A little leaven leavens the whole lump. When you're posting something scriptural that could be watched by thousands or even millions, it's crucial to get the message correct even at the risk of being called offensive. The gospel IS an offense to those who are unfortunately perishing. We will be judged for every careless word we utter, post, etc. (Matthew 12:33-37).

We are born as children of God. We are His creation. When we are baptized, we are born of God, or born again. Thus considered children of God in a new way. It doesn’t make the first statement less true. Even the “children of the devil” are still Heavenly Father’s children. The phrase is only used to show people how much they’ve been influenced by Satan. Not as some proclamation of spiritual heritage.

No one mentioned that she brought the oil . Such kind of oil during those times in Judea was only for sacraments / Simon could keep some in his house . But women were not allowed to the men's supper of any another kind of meeting. they were not allowed to provide any hosting to a unknown man . That was the sin . She may be lived in the same house , and preferred Jesus to her owner

We all have a seat at his table if we confess in our hearts that Jesus Christ is the son of God and believe that he died on the cross for our sins , and that God raised him up in the 3rd day. Once again, so grateful for the work and research you put into your videos for us.
I loved when you talked about the history of entering into someone's home representing a covenant, it reminded me of the temple. And knowing that the washing and anointing was indicative of the gratitude and blessing of the guest being in their home means even more. I also thought about the partaking of the sacrament bread, while learning that it represents a reconciliation between two parties who were once enemies, it could mean the natural man within myself reconciling with Jesus, but also my spiritual self reconciling with my worldly self - because many times I am my own worse enemy. By partaking of the sacrament, I am making peace with myself for the mistakes I have made over the course of the last week, and also reconciling with Jesus Christ while becoming a new person.
Thank you for all of your hard work. You are helping to bring many closer to Jesus Christ (including myself). Be blessed, many blessings to you, as always.

Jesus is my saviour
I am not sure what they mean by a ‘sinful woman.’ Jesus lived in a sinful world where everybody but him was a sinner, not just this woman.
Good question. That is was Simon the Pharisee called her. He likely saw himself as less sinful then himself and thus called her the sinful woman. Might be similar to how we see a convict or a prostitute. That said, you are correct that only Christ is sinless and we are all sinners. I don’t mention that, but there are many things I don’t cover for the sake of time.

@@annA-fl8um We don’t. We can assume some features from the time and geographical location. That’s it. But again, I don’t know a single person who looks upon statues and paintings and believes that God or Our Lady is somehow present within them. I do not worship false Gods. There is one God alone and he’s not made from plaster or paint. It’s my belief that the artists are simply inspired *by* God to create beautiful art works, in the same way that beautiful hymns and poetry are created.
I wonder if that woman was less sinful than most of the rich one’s around her. I guess we will all find out one day!
