- The stories of the two sisters Mary and Martha are some of the most remembered in the Bible. We learn of their many interactions with Jesus Christ. They fed him. They housed him. They learned from him. They wept with him. They were loved by him. As we look more closely at the lives of these two incredible women, we discover how the Savior’s love for them extends to all of us. We too can be disciples of Christ like Mary and Martha.

Mary and Martha one of the best examples in scripture of Jesus knowing each of us personally, treating us as individuals, and loving us in the way we need!
This astounding video offers a deep dive into the clarifying truths of the New Testament and beautifully connects them to our life today. When I watch Messages of Christ I always feel more connected to Him. All lives matter.

In section 101:4 it was stated: "Inasmuch as this church of Christ has been reproached with the crime of fornication, and polygamy: we declare that we believe, that one man should have one wife; and one woman, but one husband, except in the case of death, when either is at liberty to marry again."
This section was printed in every edition of the Doctrine and Covenants until the year 1876. At that time the Mormon leaders inserted section 132, which permits a plurality of wives. Obviously, it would have been too contradictory to have one section condemning polygamy and another approving of it in the same book! Therefore, the section condemning polygamy was completely removed from the Doctrine and Covenants.

The one and only part in the Bible where it says “ And Jesus wept.” John 11 : 35. It is interesting to note how, many holy women mentioned in the Bible, some of them even when they had a sinful past, trusted in His healing power, and knew that He was the Messiah. And they testified through their actions and profession of faith. He revealed Himself to whom He wished to reveal.
I believe Jesus reveals himself to those who seek him .
We all have a sinful past.

What do you not find appealing about Martha...both lernt to love him equally and whole heartedly.
Oh, I never meant to imply that Martha was not important to Jesus Christ, not at all. But Mary followed Jesus Christ every where and was a disciple even though she was not mentioned as a discipline but it was evident that she was and her love for Christ was so beautiful.
I think I would be telling Mary off to for not helping when there were lots of people to feed, I bet she wanted to sit and just listen to. Hope I can sit at Jesus’s feet for a wee while. Thanks for the video it was beautiful. God bless everyone, stay safe out there.

I can tell you yes Martha did want to relax with him but she was doing her best to help in the way she thought she was ment to and didn't relise that it would be ok to just sit and relax with him...but she knows that now.

I believe Martha wants to learn too but she has higher responsibility of caring for her guests, Mary knowing that she rely on her , but I’m sure the story didn’t end there , I’m sure Jesus knows more Bless this ministry

How life has changed for the better. Today, men cook for women. Men and women sit together to read, watch movies, debate, discuss, work alongside each other, have fun, relax and chat with drinks. Women are no longer branded as the humans who are stuck in a kitchen. AMEN! Thank you for freedom.

Seems like people today want to write their own version of scriptures, however, because the point was made that according to Christ Jesus, the duty we have, the particular propensity to work in any way is to be done with the sole aim and objective of pleasing God. There are men who sew, for example, or do other duties, without thinking of whether it is "gender" appropriate, but are happy & good spiritual followers.
The body is just a designation that can be miserably misinterpreted.

Thank you soooo very much for these videos! They are perfect! They touch my heart so deeply that I can't contain my tears. Since I first learned of the story of Mary and Martha I felt always inclined to defend Martha's conduct. I identified myself much more with her than with Mary. I always imagined myself doing my very best to serve my Lord if he came to my home. I would probably be upset with my sister as well for leaving all the work for me to do. I really didn't understand the lessons being taught in this very important account. I wished I could, and I even prayed about it and discussed with friends and family. Your video was an answer to my prayers. Thank you for your understanding, your spirit and your service. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, profound words of faith, testimony and knowledge with us, your audience. May Heavenly Father continue to bless, guide, inspire and prosper you in this great work of sharing His teachings with us all.
