I got this for my daughter when she was six. It taught her everything from how to type, do math, qualities of various minerals and trees, and most of all patience. Great accidentally educational game. She's 14 now, but we still play it as a family from time to time.

Minecraft is a very "Zen" game for sure. It's the OG of crafting games. My family plays it together. My daughter is the acknowledged "expert." I had never played a crafting game so without her consultation I probably wouldn't have been able to start my own budding hobby channel on 7 Days to Die, what some have called the adult version of minecraft, LOL, where I do tutorials and play. I enjoyed this. I used to play Minecraft all the time. It was a great escape (vacation) from stresses in reality. I was actually a bit disappointed when mobs got added, but they obviously add to the game and I got over it after a while. As the game gained in popularity I was disappointed that so many people wanted to be griefers. I spent a lot of time finding a server with fewer griefers and a low latency connection. I stopped playing it not long after Microsoft bought it from Mojang and announced changes to the rules for servers. This definitely brought back some pleasant memories. Do you like building things with redstone? Automated mob grinders and farms? Thank you for sharing.

Always remember to do stuff to keep your inner kid happy. You have enough of Reality and responsibilities to bury you up to your neck in stress. Be a big kid every now and then, and go play video games, go play in the mud in your prom dress, go do silly fun stuff that makes you smile. Whatever makes you happy. If you don't remember to make yourself happy, no one else is ever going to be able to do it FOR you- and life is too short to always be unhappy.
I play a similar game as Minecraft. It's called Angeldust. You can build, and kill creatures to get gold so you can buy construction materials to build your structures, and to claim land to build on. Angeldust is a cheap game... $2.50, I think. It was $7.50 when I bought it. I'm 67 yrs old, and I've been playing it for the last 8 years. The graphics are pretty good. You can buy a saddle at the shop, and put the saddle on certain creatures so you can ride them... like a horse, a moa, or a bear. I play it a lot because I'm retired. If I wasn't retired, I'd be making as much money as I can, working a job.
Minecraft mod making jump started my sons love for programming. He wanted to make his own mods so he taught himself the Java language. That was back when Minecraft first came out. He was probably early middle school age. Now he's a 22 year-old software engineer earning more than twice as much as I made at the end of my teaching career. He also has no college debt because he was able to secure a job right out of HS. You never know what will lead you to your passion. Just keep looking.

Yeah the good old Minecraft! It´s simply an appealing game coz its customizable, moddable and playable in an almost for everybody suitable way. I´m the "vanilla Minecraft survival mode guy, with just a few mods for better looks " kinda player.... How do you prefer to play Minecraft? Let me know everybody.

Games...have you ever tried Dungeons & Dragons or other ttrpgs? You should! I've been in the hobby for 34 years and I've made the best friends through it.
for screen record and all... audacity for audio, debut screen record, obs if you want to record sound from your pc, internal you need to look at the settings for audio...tutorials on youtube or google, you'll find them its a pain to record with phine and then edit and all make your life simpler by making some test for like 1 minute and see how it is using audacity you can select the noise if you leave like 10 second of silence, room normal sounds, pc fans and all to be recorded, then you can silence those sounds from the whole audio if you tab oc lick the mouse...you can remove those sounds from the audio as well... i'm waiting for your "rewatching your childhood" tv shows or stuff... like its trendy today to react to anime, movies and all, but you need to be carefull with copyright, lots of editing until the video is free to use

Me and my kids love minecraft. I even made a couple of mineraft servers for them and I to play.
