He hoped he would have been able to get things better for JS. Yet, he also said JS did not want, nor planned to apologize. Brennan now is saying he can no longer be associated with JS, since JS is effectively a sociopath and is not actually sorry for what he did.

In the past, people like him were locked up, either in a prison or a psychiatric facility. But society is much wiser now. We know that the best way to fix the problem is to pretend there is no problem. Now, anything short of actual murder is just a misdemeanor, and the psych wards have been shut down for 'humanitarian' reasons.
And behold, now we get to deal with a growing army of these utterly worthless people who insist on being seen and heard. Who demand everything as their "right" but give nothing of consequence in return.

The 29 year sentence includes other crimes he has committed, including sexual crimes. One of the things he did was use AI to create of video of him kissing a famous Korean female celebrity. Using AI to create DeepFakes that impune the honor of a woman is sexual assault, or something like that. But JS has committed a variety of crimes that if he is convicted of and served concurrently, would add up to 29 years.
Personally, I hope Korea does not let his crime spree continue in the country and don't let him to go other countries to commit crimes. You just have to see what he did in Japan, the assaults and the blatantly fake apologies, including admitting to lying to a judge. JS needs to go to a Korean prison for 10-29 years. I also hope that he gets his US Passport restricted or revoked, so he can't go anywhere but home. There is an attorney on YT that showed the law where the State Dept can revoke or restrict your Passport if you commit a felony overseas. Even worse punishment is available if your crimes harm international relations between the US and that country.

Johnny Somali is 100% not sorry for his actions, its obvious he's acting to show that he's sorry but he isn't in reality. And he will just cotinue with his actions after this if he gets no punishment (which he is getting in Korea).
The thing is, having streamers and influencers entering countries and doing their streaming and online content is good and brings different benefits, and that actually is something why streamers and influencers are welcomed. That does not mean it will have certain bad apples entering the country too. In General, having streamers and influnecers is not bad thing and it too brings the good things and benefical stuff to the online world and community, although that comes with certain negatives and bad things with it.
Personally thinking, all countries around the world should be taking harder stance against streamers and influencers for what they are doing and actions taken that is directed and related to streamers and influencers (and this is also applied to all foreign streamers and influencers). Also to be taking and placing certain consequences if the streamers and influencers decide to be a bad apple, and even laws directed at streamers and influencers. Its understandable why influencers and streamers have a bad name, and the negative views people have at them and why countries bans foreign streamers and influencers and sending them to jail for good amount of time (best if they get some labour work in prison)
