Till day I didn't understand that when they pin the material with manikin then how they remove it carrying the same design, won't it open the design again and spread the material?
Honestly, I have no idea. As a fashion/costume design major and sewing since I was a child, I have no idea how in the world a stitcher would do this. When they cut the fabric, they don't even allow enough for a Seam allowance or a rolled hem. The only way you could keep the design together is to do large basting stitches by hand while pinned on the mannequin, but you still have to sew each section separately and they are not even allowing for a lining. I hated my flat patterning class. I never got a chance to take drape patterning which is what this is. It looks easy but it's kind of a cheat. Although I would use it if I had to come up with complex folds because those are impossible to measure out especially if you flunked geometry. But if you are making mass dresses, you have to have a pattern to work from and the mannequins are not always size specific to each individual. Some have large hips but small busts or weird combos like that.
He is showing the design created by him with the help of maniquin instead of sketching in the paper...and then further can sew the design with other fabrics if it's like by females.

I have a question! Can anyone answer? Do we need to fit this size of this mannequin to get this dress? All the videos of any designer seems like they are stitching only for the exact size of a small manequin!
You can get large size take one of your garment tight size and put it on the mannican then fill it with pillow filling and close with simple stitches ,, or use sponge sheets for filling .😊

@@olgacizmar4351pins won't hold. Hand stitch a few spots would be the best way and then rip it out later.

Это и есть муляжный способ: быстро, красиво, неэкономно. Трудно потом узлы красиво обработать.
Ну это так первая выкройка подгоняется .А потом по шаблону , экономно
