"Косяк" can also mean school, like school of fish. And "фигня" can also be used in positive context. E.g., "крутая фигня" can be translated as "cool stuff".
Фигня (fignya) is also used to say that something is easy or doesn’t matter. For example: - Как прошёл экзамен? Сложные были задания? - Нет, задания фигня Translation: How was the exam? Were the tasks hard? No, the tasks were easy Or - Тебе стало грустно, из-за того, что он сказал? - Нет, с чего бы мне расстраиваться из-за такой фигни Translation: Are you sad because of what he said? No, why should I be sad because of such stupid thing
Косяк - это только дверной или оконный брус. Угол стола или прочей мебели - никак не косяк. А вот удариться об него - это косяк. Косяк это ещё стая птиц или рыб. www.ozhegov.com/words/13419.shtml www.ozhegov.com/words/13420.shtml
Фигна, and Фиг in general, seem to be a Russian minced oath , kind of like Блин serves for another bit of мат. I read "Иди нафиг" as "Go to heck", sort of like a softer version of the naughtier version, or of "Пошёл к чёрту!"
Could you please make some videos of question and answer.. like, one question and the answer will be 2 to 3 answers or responses? Beginners will love those videos for sure... we don't like to think too much of grammar rules.. we just want to understand the questions and respond accordingly to it.
Good stuff! I love learning how the language is actually spoken. I kept hearing Чё the other day watching TV and was wondering. Владимир снова позвонил по трубку. Чё такого? Дай мне косяк!
Don't forget about cases. In this case, it will not be "трубку" but "трубке". And, you know... It doesn't sound right. So it's better to say "Он не отвечает на мой ЗВОНОК" (The word "звонок" means "Call", and translate is: "He doesn't answer my call") I wish you the best success in learning the language!
Спасибо Фёдор! Отлично видео! Можешь сделать видео на «оно» и «это»? Когда сказать какой? Это трудный за американцов. Мы зовут всё фигда "it" или "thing" потому английский не имеет пола.
Оно is like it but behaves like he. Это means this, this is or even it. Это я-This is me. Мне это нравится-I like this/it. It is neutral for neutral nouns. For example: it's a guy/This guy=это парень/этот парень. This is a girl/This girl=Это девушка/Эта девушка
Another thing to point out is the gender of the noun. Like in English if we're looking for a book (or any object) we would say where is it? But in Russian, as книга is feminine, I believe the question would be "где она?" Where is she etc. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that would be a major change to the way we think about using the word "it" for all inanimate nouns if that helps any.
Can you please make a video about the word "пожалуйста"? I already know it means please.. but for some reasons I think it has multiple meanings is that true? I really like your videos by the way
2 main usages: 1. As 'please' - when you ask someone politely ("Подайте соль, пожалуйста! / Pass the salt, please! ") or beg for something, can be used with "ну" for such case (which sound a bit childish): "Купи мне новый айфон, ну пожалуйста! / By me a new iPhone, pleasy-please!"; 2. As 'you are welcome' - answer to a "thank you" from a person you helped. So, basically you may often see such situations start and end with this word: А: - Пожалуйста, подскажите, как пройти в библиотеку? / Can you tel me please, how to get to the library? В: - Пройдите 2 квартала по улице и поверните налево / Go 2 blocks down the street and turn left. А: - Спасибо большое / Thank you very much! В: - Пожалуйста / You are welcome!.
