Juan Perasso I truly think Fleetwood Mac is making a cultural re-emergence in music. Their music is used in several popular movies and shows, and many current artists are throwing back to their sound. Not to mention, their story as a band is one of the best in musical history...
Juan Perasso I also think it would be a great movie, I for one know for a fact that Stevie would oppose of it only because most of her life been broadcasted through the media over the years, so everybody knows about the drug use and the fighting between the band members, if anything, Stevie would do a movie just reflecting on the good times and moments of her life...
Honey, that would be great and all their fans would LOVE the idea of it but... that booger would have to be so long it makes Gone With The Wind's length seem like a commercial . We are all such die hard fans, that we probably wouldn't be satisfied with any movie about them that was made. I will say that Hollywood did a great job in casting The Doors movie with Val Kilmer. All of the actors in it did an amazing job and they looked VERY true to the real life person.
Every damn one of them. There’s just no weak link: Stevie’s vocals, Lindsay’s guitar, John’s bass, Christine’s keyboards, and Mick’s drumming. There’s just no weakness. It’s incredible. To say nothing of writing the lyrics and coming up with the music.
This is my favorite version if Rhiannon. I was names Rhiannon after the song and my sister who is eleven months younger is named stevie . we are called the Fleetwood Mac sisters.
Neat! It's similar to my middle daughter and myself. I'm Stevie (after Stevie Nicks). I named my daughter Rhiannon. I heard the song first; but I loved the ethereal mythological story of the Goddess Rhiannon.
Completely mesmerizing. There will never be another Stevie Nicks. Her voice is just something else. There's a reason these songs have all become timeless.
I named my daughter Rhiannon in 1982. Was going to name her Sara Rhiannon, but Sara(h) was the #1 name for girls in 1982 and I didn't want her to have the same name as every other little girl that year, so Rhiannon it was!
The Dance represents Fleetwood Mac's most prolific and beautiful performance. This reunion tour proves magic of the band in its truest form. No prior augmentation of band members has ever achieved such melodic perfection. Even with all the history and emotion between band members; truth is evident they all make up something incomplete without each other. Opening to Rhiannon and Silver Spring really shine for Stevie and her ability to project emotion; clearly she has preserved these moments from time.
Dance is a lot better than Stevie nicks cause LB has matured so much in his talent if you look at songs like gypsy and go your own way and even chain his guitar parts sounds a lot better on dance
I believe in the power of names, and 16 years ago I was trying to figure out a name for my baby girl that was "beauty"... then this song pops in my head.. I got to thinking about the old tales of Rhiannon and it was perfect. She grew into one of the most beautiful young ladies I have ever known...
It's amazing, the first minute and a half feel like an entire, beautiful song all on it's own. Then the guitar kicks in and it's like "oh yeah, there's still all the rest of it to come".
The way they started this song is very hauntingly beautiful. My second favorite version. Their first live performance being my favorite, when Stevie sings the hell out of this song.
I like this version best. Stevie looks and sounds the best she ever has here, IMO. All the other elements from Lindsey’s guitar and Christine’s keyboards and the backing vocals just mesh so seamlessly, the best since the original radio version.
This version is good, but this is the one done in 1976 that was done on "The Midnight Special" is MY Favorite. ruclips.net/video/wgmRb3MlpHQ/видео.html
My mom is a huge Fleetwood Mac fan so I grew up listening to them. Even though I was born almost 30 years after this song was released I'd take this over most new music any day! Stevie has one of the most badass voices!
Its thanks to Stevie Nicks that bands like the Sundays and Mazzie Star came into my sphere... Stevie was both Fleetwood Mac's biggest asset and greatest bane (she dated both Mic Fleetwood and Lindsay Buckingham... Death to a band, but her voice... no wonder she cut an album with the greatest, Tom Petty and could hold her own for equal billing) but her voice... Lilting and powerful at the same time, total dichotomy. She invokes in me feelings words cannot justify. Edit: (sp)
Stevie Nicks can still sing this song as well as ever. This awesome group, each of whom played and sang brilliantly needed Stevie Nicks. She was the best front woman of one of the greatest rock group.
I actually agree and disagree when I think back. No-one really knew or liked Buckingham/Nicks and so I have to say that the five of them together provided us with this special magic rock group. Granted Stevie is the best ever front woman for an amazing rock band but it is really all about their stories that make them so special. I saw them last year and though I know they are all just band mates and friends it is so nice to hear their stories through song over and over again. Great memories! Great band!
The simple fact that Peter Green is on the brink of getting inducted in the Blues HOF and is viewed as one of the best blues guitarists from the UK is enough of a reason why Fleetwood Mac would not have been forgotten even if it would have died out after the Welch-era which was also great. As were the times without Green with only Kirwan and Spencer... so I dont think the band would have been forgotten at all.
Never forgotten but would have had a different following and maybe not so commercially popular. I think Peter Green was amazing but he came undone. I truly believe the Stevie/Lindsey FM holds a lot of romantic sex and love lost which is why this line up will always be best remembered. They wrote amazing songs that people could really relate to and they were and still are dramatic. Peter Green's FM was very different. Being one of the best guitarists from the UK doesn't mean the group will have a strong following. Many great guitarists are in groups that are under the radar but still loved and respected. Stevie is a woman who took a great band and made it something unique along with the rest of FM. I started to really love FM from 1975 and have never stopped listening to them or seeing them in concert. That is just my opinion but it doesn't mean Peter Green was a lesser part of FM. I hope I make sense. Cheers
My dad always gets tears in his eyes whenever I play this song, mainly because back when I was a baby (probably about 6 months old), I used to have seizures from some sort of disease I had. We had to travel all the way to the Louisville hospital from our home town; me and my dad rode on an airplane, whilst my mom and mamaw drove. My dad always tells me that this song was going through his mind as we were flying all the way through a storm on the airplane. Love my daddy so much! We have always had such a connection together, and like he tells me, "we will always be together, even when we are far away." Edit: by the way, sorry this is so long.
This band is so smooth and beautiful, you all get better w/ time.. love you all. Saw Christine at a special Warner Bros. concert in Calif, she was fabulous. I just read she has albums, so now i shall go listen to the bands interviews. LIsten to them, Stevie's are great. fan of all the band .
This was an awesome time 1997, they were all so polished, well rehearsed and hitting on all 8 cylinders. Several of the songs from this concert turned out to be classics again, in a new decade for millions of people, 20yrs after the original release date. I saw them this tour, (I've seen them about 20 or so times) and it was great to see these two women pretty much control the band for a change. They were all great, but i'm not gonna lie, the "Girl Power" is very strong in this legendary rock n roll band.
MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG BY STEVIE NICKS!! Best performance of this song hands down. My sister and I had a blast at the New Orleans Jazz fest a few years ago. I flew home on a Friday, saw Stevie and Fleetwood Mac that Saturday, and flew out that Sunday!! Warrior mom CMG.🎶🎶🎶🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶
This song means SOOO much to people everywhere . It is unbelievable . It will never be sang by the Angels in Heaven and duplicated . Only Stevie can sing this song .... I love you Stevie ... And that's all I have to say about that . 💗
One of the best versions of this song.. EPIC..THAT VOICE.. This was 1998 when The Dance came out. They had got back together and as a flight attendant I flew all over to watch again and again. LEGEND🩷🙏
I remember listening to my favourite radio show . This song was on the radio and I had headphones on. I related to the song . But , I also experienced my first eargasm . It sent me to another beautiful world of sound.
Stevie Nicks - our most excellent female cabaret singer of the 78s-90s. This group was just slightly "after my time" but I always loved and appreciated Fleetwood Mac and Stevie! I was 29 when they first came onto the scene.
Beautiful song, sung by such a unique singer, Stevie Nicks voice SO DISTINCTIVE!! Always loved this song, always loved FLEETWOOD MAC! Was blown away by the 1997 concert screened last night on bbc2!!
Fleetwood Mac's music is in my very bones, since I grew up on it. It has gotten me through some very hard times and cheered me up and mystified me. As you would say, "Don't Stop". Rhiannon is magical and poetic, and could be in an anthology of rock music. Think about it...
Lindsey Buckingham, one of the most underrated guitarists ever. Stevie Nicks ,one of the most underrated singers ever. Mick Fleetwood, one of the most underrated drummers ever. Christine McVie, one of the most underrated pianists ever. Fleetwood Mac, one of the most underrated bands ever. They deserve a lot more recognition than they recieve
Such a lovely and gracious man now. Their story is a TRUE great love lost story. Add in to that the mix of affairs and drugs and it is a classic rock story. Marry those two things together and there you have their complicated and at times joyous relationship. They are MY iconic love story and my idols. Especially Stevie. That woman has been through so much in her life and career and she is the epitome of grace and courage. She will forever and always be my inspiration as a woman! Stength + grace!
this song is not about witchcraft but the fact she was read to as a child welsh witch stories.. you know probably like Hansel & Gretal etc.. this song is a fable Stevie wrote , make believe.. watch her interviews to get more insight.. plus you gotta' read between ' my lines as Stevie sings it..
@ Jennifer Puhl Could you explain your comment its somewhat cryptic. "Wiccan which is more spirituality, than the "craft" which is evil verses religion". I'm at a loss to understand quite what it is you are trying to say with that comment.
This song is dedicated to my Star of the South..!! It has always been one of my favorites..!! (05/26/14)....wishing Stevie Nicks a very blessed and happy Birthday..!!
And I'm a passionate lover of "Fleetwood Mac" and all music by the wonderful 'Stevie Nicks' another most unusual voice in music 🎶 I should get myself a decent cd player and play their greatest hits, with this song on it. Thanks for sharing xx
my mom got me listening to this and now my kids listen to it I want them to know what real music sounds like and even after they r gone their music will live on best rocker chic of all time Stevie Nick's is a fuckin legend!!
Fleetwood Mac gave me such wonderful moments with my Mom. I'm forever grateful. Got to see them here in SD w the mama. By far the best show on earth. CEP. L.U.M.T.U.K. R.I.P
I watch a little bit of new music with millions and millions of views its cr*p, but i come back to this every time.Just beautiful lovely words pure power and passion.
WHEN HOLLYWOOD IS GOING TO MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT THIS EXTRAORDINARY BAND???. i THINK IS TIME.
Juan Perasso I truly think Fleetwood Mac is making a cultural re-emergence in music. Their music is used in several popular movies and shows, and many current artists are throwing back to their sound. Not to mention, their story as a band is one of the best in musical history...
Juan Perasso that would be an interesting movie...
Juan Perasso jell yeah
Honey, that would be great and all their fans would LOVE the idea of it but... that booger would have to be so long it makes Gone With The Wind's length seem like a commercial . Buy it on google t.v... the sound is awesome... I know the feeling...
I think you're forgetting Lindsey's vocals. I am absolutely in love with his voice 🥰
Drama within bamd is the downside of them. To much history between stevie n lindsey met there demise from the band
My favorite band ever singing the best songs ever
Band are firing on all cylinders during this performance.
Nobody sings this as lovely as Stevie Nicks!
+MrCarl220 LAMO well no shit!?!?! she is the one who wrote it. Its her song. and wrote it in ten minutes id like to add
Interesting, but not surprising, as she is that talented!
No One Sings Any Song as Beautifully as Stevie !
Yep, love this woman!
Except for that sheep in South Park...
This is my favorite version if Rhiannon. I was names Rhiannon after the song and my sister who is eleven months younger is named stevie . we are called the Fleetwood Mac sisters.
My name is Rhiannon... I always wanted to name a daughter Stevie... But no babies for me... Sad.
+Rhiannon Harris Yay! Fellow Rhiannons, Holla! :-)
+Rhiannon Harris isn't it weird to hear this song...i always feel like someone's calling me
Neat! It's similar to my middle daughter and myself. I'm Stevie (after Stevie Nicks). I named my daughter Rhiannon. I heard the song first; but I loved the ethereal mythological story of the Goddess Rhiannon.
thats pretty amazing, much love from Canada Fleetwood Mac sisters!
Completely mesmerizing. There will never be another Stevie Nicks. Her voice is just something else. There's a reason these songs have all become timeless.
Yup there’s a reason these songs have become timeless. The reason is Christine, Stevie, John, Mick and Lindsey
I'm named after this song. I was born in 81. I love it!
I was born in 82 and wasnt named anything cool just Justin......haha
I named my daughter Rhiannon in 1982. Was going to name her Sara Rhiannon, but Sara(h) was the #1 name for girls in 1982 and I didn't want her to have the same name as every other little girl that year, so Rhiannon it was!
at 70 years old.....still a comlete beauty......and her voice......angelic.
Rhiannon W that's dope!!!
I was born in 82 was named after this song!!!
Stevie doesn't write songs, She Creates Magnificent & Beautiful Works of Art ! She is a Goddess !!
She actually does and did (not all of them, but she did) look it
“The Dance,” in my opinion, is the best Fleetwood Mac has ever sounded. Absolutely incredible performance.
This is the BEST version!! Stevie's voice was stellar during this concert!
I swear no matter how many times I hear this song it never gets old. Every version I've found of this song she does so perfectly.
..."The Dance" is probably the best live performance Fleetwood Mac DVD out there...
Away from a "live", everything was rerecorded in the studio later on.
Jennifer Puhl I am lucky enough to have that album. Is it still available?
@Jennifer Puhl yep me too...
Dance is a lot better than Stevie nicks cause LB has matured so much in his talent if you look at songs like gypsy and go your own way and even chain his guitar parts sounds a lot better on dance
ABSOLUTELY!!!
I believe in the power of names, and 16 years ago I was trying to figure out a name for my baby girl that was "beauty"... then this song pops in my head.. I got to thinking about the old tales of Rhiannon and it was perfect. She grew into one of the most beautiful young ladies I have ever known...
this put a smile on my face :)
This brought tears to my eyes mama!
This entire album is hands down Stevie’s best performance. Every song is perfection, and better than studio.
I love the beginning of this. Stevie and Christine are simply wonderful
It's amazing, the first minute and a half feel like an entire, beautiful song all on it's own. Then the guitar kicks in and it's like "oh yeah, there's still all the rest of it to come".
Stevie doesn't write songs, She Creates Magnificent & Beautiful Works of Art ! She is a Goddess !!
Stevie at 70 is a beauty.

This version is good, but this is the one done in 1976 that was done on "The Midnight Special" is MY Favorite. ruclips.net/video/wgmRb3MlpHQ/видео.html
I agree this verison is different class
💯 the best version. ..the other is like radio version
Flawless perfect stream of harmony
Nope, doesn't come close to the 1976 live version from the Midnight Special... m.ruclips.net/video/KZI62qNmScc/видео.html
My mom is a huge Fleetwood Mac fan so I grew up listening to them. Even though I was born almost 30 years after this song was released I'd take this over most new music any day! Stevie has one of the most badass voices!
Im 20 weeks pregnant and found out yesterday im having a girl. Just decided after watching this version that im naming her Rhiannon!
Congrats im probably late but congrats
Congratulations! I'm sure you're doing well 🎊🎉❤️💐
Just confirming that you named your daughter Rhiannon. I know it’s none of my business but it’s cool af. I have a nephew named billy Joel,. 👍
I named my kid Go Your Own Way
Have a life riding the sky Rhiannon. Happy second birthday.
Stevie at 70 is a beauty.
Roy Poteete Stevie Nicks isn’t just gorgeous, she’s the bomb! Sexiest woman in Rock n’ Roll! Still!
She was 49 here, not 70.
Her voice is so Beautiful, Haunting
Its thanks to Stevie Nicks that bands like the Sundays and Mazzie Star came into my sphere... Bare Trees---if you haven't heard it, do. It's great. The pre-Stevie/Lindsey FM. I remember being surprised at how good it is.
I took my oldest daughter , Rhiannon, to The Dance and still tear up remembering it. My favorite song of all my days
There'll never be another Stevie Nicks. She is one of the Greatest of all times!!
My dad always gets tears in his eyes whenever I play this song, mainly because back when I was a baby (probably about 6 months old), I used to have seizures from some sort of disease I had. my mom played this song to me throughout my childhood and i always find myself coming back to listen to it
Mine too, my mom is 53 and this was her shit when she was in high school lol I'm 34 so I heard this and the eagles growing up
Same. My mom had their greatest hits CD, which she always played in the car when I was little.
Christine plays that piano very beautifully! So talented! Stevie is my favorite vocalist.
An amazing intro to a great song made by two incredibly talented women.
It just builds and builds..... damn this is powerful. Gives me chills EVERY time
Christine McVie simply does not age.
My all time favorite Fleetwood Mac/ Stevie song. This version is the best.
Nice My dear friend
I was really lucky to see these guys in concert. These 2 hours were truly special.
I always get chills and goosebumps when I hear this is have the chills and goosebumps right now no lie..
Jennifer Mykleby same with me. ❤
It is amazing how Fleetwood Mac is such a great rock band that can put together flawless "unplugged" versions of so many hits! Kudos.
I'm I'm 67 years old. By far the best rock band EVER!!! 70's & 80's best rock music EVER!!!
I'm 17 years old, but definitely agree!
Damn, I got chills when they picked it up. My favourite female artist by far.
This was an awesome time 1997, they were all so polished, well rehearsed and hitting on all 8 cylinders. Several of the songs from this concert turned out to be classics again, in a new decade for millions of people, 20yrs after the original release date. this version is pure magick
I simply agree.
FLEETWOOD MAC IS JUST FLAT AWESOME AND THE WHOLE GROUP IS SO TALENTED! ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND'S!
My absolute favorite of all tine . I love you stevie
My sista ❤️❤️🌹🌹👍😇🧿🙏
This song means SOOO much to people everywhere . It is unbelievable . It will never be sang by the Angels in Heaven and duplicated . Only Stevie can sing this song .... I love you Stevie ... And that's all I have to say about that . 💗
The best performance ever of Stevie Nicks and her powerful voice. Gives me chills but I play it loud 😊❤️
One of the best versions of this song..
EPIC..THAT VOICE..
This was 1998 when The Dance came out. They had got back together and as a flight attendant I flew all over to watch again and again. LEGEND🩷🙏
WOW! I love this song, what a masterpiece! Shame on all who thumbs down this song!!
One of my earliest memories is watching this concert on VHS as a 3-4 year old. I gotta think this concert has influenced my musical path in some way.
Stevie's voice 😍😍 that beginning was so beautiful it brought me tears 💖
A stunning performance by the whole group.
such a beautiful woman, as she gets older she's more beautiful
The Most Beautiful and Talented Woman There Will Ever Be !!!!!!!!
as does her voice...
Stevie and Christine are both extremely beautiful here!
So happy I have this concert on CD. This is my favorite version of the song
I remember listening to my favourite radio show . This song was on the radio and I had headphones on. I related to the song . But , I also experienced my first eargasm . It sent me to another beautiful world of sound.
Beautiful ,that moves me to tears
I love it when they’re all together it always sounds so much better ⭐️🔽👁🔽
I love her voice!!!
Best performance of this song. Best live concert I've seen of theirs. They were so good
Stevie Nicks - our most excellent female cabaret singer of the 78s-90s. This group was just slightly "after my time" but I always loved and appreciated Fleetwood Mac and Stevie! I was 29 when they first came onto the scene.
Wonderful song and Stevie’s voice is simply amazing ❤️
I never quite knew why, but this song always gives me the chills. Love these guys!
R.I.P. Christine , we will miss your voice and your contributions to Fleetwood Mac ! Love and peace SONGBIRD !! 😪😪
I love the beginning of this. Stevie and Christine are simply wonderful
such a beautiful woman, as she gets older she's more beautiful
Beautiful song, sung by such a unique singer, Stevie Nicks voice SO DISTINCTIVE!! Always loved this song, always loved FLEETWOOD MAC! Was blown away by the 1997 concert screened last night on bbc2!!
O man...Stevie and band...nothing compares these days....so real and just raw!
Oh the gypsy goddes. beautiful & amazing voice.
Fleetwood Mac's music is in my very bones, since I grew up on it. It has gotten me through some very hard times and cheered me up and mystified me. As you would say, "Don't Stop". Rhiannon is magical and poetic, and could be in an anthology of rock music. Think about it...
This came out my sophomore year in high school. It is one of those songs that takes me back to the 70s immediately with the first few notes.
ditto - just wish they hadn't fired LB:(
She is the Goddess Rhiannon. 🌛🌝🌜
Yepp❤
1977 graduation from HS she was the best, she lives here in Paradise valley. She’s simply the best
Uh, they are among the highest-rated bands ever, deservedly
My favorite song of all time. 65 years. And the best version. She us so incredible!.
I love Stevie’s voice like omg you just feel whatever she sings about
Such a lovely and gracious man now. Their story is a TRUE great love lost story. Add in to that the mix of affairs and drugs and it is a classic rock story. Marry those two things together and there you have their complicated and at times joyous relationship. They are MY iconic love story and my idols. Especially Stevie. When I heard Fleetwood Mac was getting back together I was thrilled, when I saw this concert, I felt "The Spirit". Thank goodness.
Such a great song. Ive loved it since the first time I heard it in the 1970's . Stevie, what a voice.
I will NEVER get sick of this song, especially this version!
That was a much subdued performance, yet absolutely marvelous in execution, Bravo!
Still so beautiful....this song and Stevie's performance capture the essence of witchcraft.
this song is not about witchcraft but the fact she was read to as a child welsh witch stories.. you know probably like Hansel & Gretal etc.. this song is a fable Stevie wrote , make believe.. watch her interviews to get more insight.. plus you gotta' read between ' my lines as Stevie sings it..
@ Jennifer Puhl Could you explain your comment its somewhat cryptic. "Wiccan which is more spirituality, than the "craft" which is evil verses religion". I'm at a loss to understand quite what it is you are trying to say with that comment.
The name Rhiannon literally means "The white witch".....
THIS IS MY MOST FAVORITE SONG EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍
This song is dedicated to my Star of the South..!! It has always been one of my favorites..!! (05/26/14)....wishing Stevie Nicks a very blessed and happy Birthday..!!
The Dance is insane from song selection to delivery best live show I’ve ever heard or seen
She sounds better in this later recording than when it was originally released.
I remember when I saw this when it came out it still runs deep in me , it was late 90,s I still feel it
And I'm a passionate lover of "Fleetwood Mac" and all music by the wonderful 'Stevie Nicks' another most unusual voice in music 🎶 I should get myself a decent cd player and play their greatest hits, with this song on it. Thanks for sharing xx

Hauntingly beautiful song and performance. How can this have 263 👎’s? There’s just no accounting for taste.
Saw Fleetwood Mac Iowa Cedar Falls 1981 great show.
One of the best performances of the band
