    Not many people know this but Renee is the most awarded FILM actress ever (it’s not Meryl Streep). What I mean by that is, she has won every FILM category there is to win by a FILM actor from the 5 major FILM awards in the industry: Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTA’s, SAG and Critics Choice Awards. No other actress has achieved this. Read below to know what I mean....
    Oscars:
    Academy Award Best Actress (Judy) Academy Award Best Supporting Actress (Cold Mountain)
    Golden Globes:
    Golden Globe Best Actress - Drama (Judy) Golden Globe Best Actress - Musical (Chicago) Golden Globe Best Actress - Comedy (Nurse Betty) Golden Globe Best Supporting Actress (Cold Mountain)
    BAFTA’s:
    BAFTA Best Actress (Judy)
    BAFTA Best Supporting Actress (Cold Mountain)
    SAG Awards:
    2 SAG Awards for Best Actress (Chicago & Judy)
    SAG Award Best Supporting Actress (Cold Mountain)
    SAG Award Best Ensemble Cast (Chicago)
    Critics Choice Awards:
    Critics Choice Best Actress (Judy)
    Critics Choice Best Supporting Actress (Cold Mountain)
    Critics Choice Best Cast (Chicago)
    The woman has won EVERY MAJOR FILM AWARD there is and yet she seems to be irrelevant in people’s minds. Maybe because she’s not a “beauty” or she lives a very quiet life. Who knows? But she will go down in history as probably the most awarded film actress ever.
    The fireplace mantle in her home is what dreams are made of.
    Side note: Only Cate Blanchett is close to achieving this feat as well (she only needs to win a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy and in a Musical and a Critics Choice for Best Supporting Actress).

    Scarlet Johansson acted her face off in A Marriage Story and deserved that award... however, Rene literally became Judy Garland and it was some of the best acting I have ever seen in my life. Well deserved! And I have been watching so many interviews of Rene lately and she just seems super humble and kind and I respect her so much! I’m crying watch this speech! World class! Wow! This was indeed a very toughly contested category. All the actresses nominated were very good. I personally think Renee deserved it. Adil El Nhaily I very much agree that many actresses very snubbed too. Yes I agree Lupita deserved a nomination. Same goes for Awkwafina. Also I even think Florence Pugh should’ve been nominated for Midsommar. I really liked ‘Us’ and I feel bad that Lupita wasn’t nominated but I don’t think we can have all these actresses in one category. That’s the point of the award, to shortlist best ones. It’s a pity though that sometimes out personal favs aren’t nominated.

    • @adilelnhaily1960
      @adilelnhaily1960 4 года назад +8

      @@nabeel2453 Yes but Saiorse Ronan and Charlize Theron were kind of meh compared to Awkwafina and Lupita. It's easy for the Academy to nominated Saiorse and Charlize (4 and 3 nominations each)

    • @dimunyu9035
      @dimunyu9035 4 года назад +12

      i agree. i saw all the films they were nominated for. charlize and saoirse had very good performances but not on the same level as renee's. the only other performance i think matched renee's was lupita's. the confrontation sequence between her two characters was oscar gold. that scene alone when they were about to kill each other was enough to earn her a nomination.

    • @nabeel2453
      @nabeel2453 4 года назад +1

      DIMUNYU Yes that’s true. But lol we can’t change the academy’s opinion on it. Also you may have noticed that the Oscars are very biased towards horror films. The only modern horror film that won an Oscar was Get Out. Other than that I was really looking forward to Us being nominated but it didn’t. Well, it’s still okay bcuz Lupita has an Oscar already (12 Years A Slave). Even in 2018, I was really looking forward to Toni Collette getting atleast a nomination for Hereditary but she got snubbed. Midsommar also got zero nominations this year. All of this shows that the Oscars don’t usually nominate horror movies.
