This is my 5th jeep In this old lady's age And the top was completely different for me but watching him go through this he makes it look simple and easy And I'm very grateful
Thanks. There are a ton of video showing how fast you can do it, but you show more in depth of how its done. I appreciate that. Still only 11 minutes to take off AND put on, with explanation. Can't wait til mine gets out of Toledo.
I'm looking at purchasing my first Jeep Wrangler and this video makes taking off a soft top look very easy! I appreciate the detail that was given. Great job!
Excellent video. Just parked one (same granite color) in my driveway. Jeep absolutely nailed it on this design. Thanks for posting this, super helpful.
Excellent video. I’ve seen others but you actually show how to put it all back together after taking it apart. I bought my Jeep a couple months ago when it was getting cooler in Chicago. This give me the confidence to strip it down in the spring. Thank you for posting.
This video is excellent. Much easier than the ridiculous JL owner's manual. Thanks for making it look easy. I'm glad I spent the extra $$$ for this top on my new Rubicon.
Thank you very much for the very thorough video. I know there are a lot of people out there they're having trouble with the new system when they are used to the old one. Job well done!!!
I've watched several of these soft top removal videos and am glad I watched this one first. I wasted my time watching all the others. It's obvious this guy knows what he's doing compared to the others.
Excellent reference to go back to when you've had your top off for awhile and you need a quick refresher. I'm in Tucson, Arizona and the top is off many weeks because of the great weather!.
Most people dont show the full steps or dont know about it. The top does go all the way down and the track arms are connected to the top next to the back rollbar, they can unsnap and go down further so no track arms in the way. Also they have a lock for the top down so it doesnt raddle in the wind, theres lock switches behind the rear seatbelts.
Thank you so much... Super easy to follow and I did the uninstall today with this video and made a whole lot of difference since I previously tried other videos with no much success.... Will try reinstalling later with the video
nice vid my man, I'm in the process of getting a 2 door SL love it. LOL but it's yellow. LOL. I have a zippered soft top TJ and like having the ability to leave my bimini style top on the hiway keeping sun off but having the side and back panels off as I do. Awesome tutorial for the new rails THX
Have you ever had any problem unlocking the soft top? I tried installing my soft top today but couldn't because I couldn't unlock the drivers side:( The passenger side locks and unlocks fine but not the drivers side. Can't seem to find any information on how to fix it:(
What is the max speed can drive with top folded back half way? I thought there is straps to tie down? Most of the time I would only fold back half way and leave on panels. If the vehicle is garaged majority of the time, what is the life expectancy of the softop? My biggest concern is security. Thieves damaging to get into the vehicle. Your thoughts please.
Do you have to twist the bar above door (on back) I tore my top a bit. And I obviously don’t want to break that bar opening it. The guys at dealer didn’t know how to open it either.
Great video well explained....i think this is not convenient if it suddenly start to rain .. that take forever to close it and then it stop to rain removing all this back..
Maybe I'm missing something. But hypothetically if a thief wanted to steal something from inside the car, would it be as easy as them just popping off the windows like in this video? I didn't see a lock or interior release or anything.
My JK vs JL comparison (for me, a 2 door Rubicon soft top) My JL pros -possibly the new 2.0 engine (I also like the Pentastar) -8 speed transmission -quicker throttle response -soft top without ‘cross bar’ -soft top no zippers -quieter soft top -body color roll bar -flat horizontal dash -lighter/aerodynamic tweaks = better MPG -real metal interior detail -real hardware (not faux bolts) interior -larger cup holders -air vents for cooling under hood -more slant in windshield (think rock damage) -doors stay opened -cabin is slightly longer -doors remove easier/faster -telescopic adjusting steering wheel -bigger storage tub -stronger and lighter tailgate -better hood latches My JL cons -auto start/stop (I know it can be disabled) -the bumpers (front and back) -front running lights on fender flare -too much digital visual “noise” on dash -rear camera (I know I can take it off - and I will) -no hard drive in radio to store music -looser steering -the $ cost $
Great tutorial, but just a word of advice for owners... lay all of those windows as flat as possible. Notice the wavy "loose" look in the windows. It's because they aren't laying them flat.
How can I remove the top completely. I laid it all the way back and the wind started to pick the top up. That seems dangerous to me. How do we either keep it from wanting to come up or completely remove the top?
Skodz Gaming they made one for 2019, it’s basically a convertible roof, but you can’t remove it any further after it’s fully extended. You also can’t take off the doors as Jeep says it’s terribly hard to line up the rail system that the roof operates on, which would make it defective. It’s also only available for a “hard top” style roof.
This was one of the best “how to” videos I’ve seen for the Jeep. Kudos big man, and thank you! 👊🏼
Hands down the best how to video for JL Jeeps period! Well done and appreciated!!!
I’d let this guy sell me a Jeep. He knows what he’s doing and makes it look easy.
Agreed. I hate it when you go to a car dealership and they know nothing about the product.
Yess broo

nick crescenzo Glad we could help!
This is still one of the best and most detailed videos online. Thanks
Thank you!! Bought a Wrangler 2 months ago and you’ve made this process look so easy!! Can’t wait to go “naked” this summer!
I'm looking at purchasing my first Jeep Wrangler and this video makes taking off a soft top look very easy! I appreciate the detail that was given. Great job!
Thanks so much man! Brand new Jeep owner with no clue. REALLY appreciate the fantastic and thorough walk-through. Wish I had bought my Jeep from you!
Excellent video. Just parked one (same granite color) in my driveway. Jeep absolutely nailed it on this design. Thanks for posting this, super helpful.
Professional, detailed, easy on the eyes. 10/10 👊🏾

best video I've seen of the Jeep top install process.
Troy Tollen thank you. Glad you liked it.
All the way from Melbourne Australia - THANK YOU KING!
Needed a hand… the paper instructions had me lost !! Thank you 💛
This video is excellent. Much easier than the ridiculous JL owner's manual. Thanks for making it look easy. I'm glad I spent the extra $$$ for this top on my new Rubicon.
Thank you so much! Just joined the Jeep family yesterday and I'm excited!
Thank you very much for the very thorough video. I know there are a lot of people out there they're having trouble with the new system when they are used to the old one. Job well done!!!

My man, you have some serious skills! Best instructional video I have ever seen!
Best video on this topic out there. This guy is a level 10 boss! Thank you
Super helpful! I'm about to go do this and enjoy my jeep. Thank you for being so clear and detailed.
You make me feel like I can actually get a jeep. Just what I needed to see. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for your video. We watched about 10 others and none of them showed the pulley on the back to pull the top down 🎉
Most people dont show the full steps or dont know about it. This is the most helpful video I’ve found! First time outing my windows back in almost defeated me. And it’s gonna rain today!!
Great video! It’s finally getting cooler weather so riding with the top down doesn’t feel like an ant under a magnifying glass!
What a great Explanation thankyou for making this so easy to understand! Next jeep is from you!!
Excellent vidéo! Great explanations! No weird background music! Well done! I wish all videos were that good! 👍🇨🇦
Excellent video! Great job dude, you really helped man!
I'm sold on the new Wrangler! Excellent instruction vid.
Thanks for the video man! Just used to to help a customer get their top off.
Thank you so much... Super easy to follow and I did the uninstall today with this video and made a whole lot of difference since I previously tried other videos with no much success.... Will try reinstalling later with the video
Excellent video. Informative and well done. Thank you. You need your own channel.
Good looking fella right there. Only reason I watched all the way through.
pimpmyride facts!! Id buy just to have demonstrate
Wish this guy worked where I bought my Jeep,
I just purchased a 2018 and had no idea how to let the top all the way down..thank you
Perfect thank you! Just got a wrangler Willy Edition 2020 and the soft top is identical so easy to use after seeing this

Fantastic instructional video, just amazing all around, thank you for this! Super helpful!
Thank you for making this well-done video.

Excellent!! Your video helped me a lot, thank you so much!!😊
I look forward to my next vehicle being a jeep wrangler
Great video, u explained every detail perfectly. Thks for sharing 😊 👍
Thanks so much ! Easy and clear instructions.
THANK YOU ❤🎉 YOU saved my day!
You made it look very easy, will let you know tomorrow how it works out
The best video by far...thx
This was a great video. Thank you.
Ok, but in all seriousness, is he single? Asking for a friend, 😂.
😂😂😂...cuz OK!!!)
Appreciate the help, this was awesome
Outstanding video, thank you so much. Epic beard by the way.
When putting the top back up you have to press to release buttons to get the back to roll back up on the rails.

Awesome instructional video, appreciate it!
I wish Bestop or Mopar would make soft tops like this for JKs
Bestop kinda does its the nex glide tops. The Jeep JL soft tops were designed by bestop and were modeled after the glide tops.
exactly what i was looking for, thanks
So how well would that soft top keep you insulated in a Minnesota winter when it's -15 with a 25 below zero windchill?
Great vid! How many times did you try before this video, you know it’s never this smooth first time lol looking forward my 2020 JL
Maybe I'm missing something. But hypothetically if a thief wanted to steal something from inside the car, would it be as easy as them just popping off the windows like in this video? I didn't see a lock or interior release or anything.
Does latching the two front latches last make it easy for the window install? I’m having a hellllllll of a time trying to get my rear window to fit
Thank you, very well explained. I managed to do this, now. Thanks!
Great video. Jeep Corp should have him do their videos.
How about removing completely for hard top replacement
My JK vs JL comparison (for me, a 2 door Rubicon soft top)
My JL pros
-possibly the new 2.0 engine (I also like the Pentastar)
-8 speed transmission
-quicker throttle response
-soft top without ‘cross bar’
-soft top no zippers
-quieter soft top
-body color roll bar
-flat horizontal dash
-lighter/aerodynamic tweaks = better MPG
-real metal interior detail
-real hardware (not faux bolts) interior
-larger cup holders
-air vents for cooling under hood
-more slant in windshield (think rock damage)
-doors stay opened
-cabin is slightly longer
-doors remove easier/faster
-telescopic adjusting steering wheel
-bigger storage tub
-stronger and lighter tailgate
-better hood latches
My JL cons
-auto start/stop (I know it can be disabled)
-the bumpers (front and back)
-front running lights on fender flare
-too much digital visual “noise” on dash
-rear camera (I know I can take it off - and I will)
-no hard drive in radio to store music
-looser steering
-the $ cost $
Why is a rear camera a “con?”
Yeah, you think you'd love it. All my previous Jeeps never had it and i wish it did
I just upgraded from a 2016 JKU Willys Wheeler W to a 2018 JLU Rubicon. So far, I like everything about the JLU over the JKU.
Best tutorial! thank you
Just a suggestion. I wouldn't roll the back window up. It will leave little scratches everywhere!
Awesome tutorial my man!!
outstanding. perfectly explained. enjoyable
Thank you for the help 🙌🏻👏🏼👏🏼
Great video 👍 simple and easy
Mine won’t unlatch. It’s very hard. When one unpatched the other gets stock.
Great video young man!
Awesome presentation!!!
this work on brand new jeeps too?
Very well spoken and easy to follow, but raising and lowering the soft top is very different than removing it like the title says.
Great presentation!
Super helpful, thank you
How is this REMOVING the top? It’s still installed.
Excellent video!!
Can this softop fit Jeep 2010
4 doors ? And how much it cost pls
I enjoyed your video ... thanks for sharing 🙂
Love this video; great job !
Is there a way to retro fit the new system onto a jk
Wonderful jeep good job I love it so much 👍😎👍
How loud is it on the highway compared to hardtop ?
Great tutorial, but just a word of advice for owners... lay all of those windows as flat as possible. Notice the wavy "loose" look in the windows. It's because they aren't laying them flat.
Is this car good for winter..??
Cool dude. I like how you talk.
Great video thanks!
Jack Mason thank you!
How can I remove the top completely. I laid it all the way back and the wind started to pick the top up. That seems dangerous to me. How do we either keep it from wanting to come up or completely remove the top?
Did you release the side rails and lower them, then lock it all down with the lock toggles by the rear seatbelt hangers?
Fantastic video. Thanks!
Jeep needs to figure out a transformer type roof that disapear just by pushing a button!
Come check out how easy it is to remove and replace the top on the all new 2018 #JeepWranglerJL at Ginn Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram! #GoTopless
Merci beaucoup j’ai le même jeep de couleur granite ça m’a très bien aider pour enlever et remettre mon toi thank you vers much 👍🏼😉
Can I drive on the highway with the roof completely down? It does not seem to lock down.
Yeah it locks down. He didn't show the locking mechanism
Awesome vid
