It kind of annoys me when comics use a character like Bor in this way. He's supposed to be so incredibly powerful yet is reduced to nothing more than a pawn by those who are weaker then he.
it's Marvel's way of making an older character more relatable. Doctor strange is the perfect example. in the 70s, pre retcon doctor strange was a multiverse being with God like abilities. in the 90s, most of his powers were taken away to see more of his human nature. this never happens to characters in anime. never a decrease in power.

Champ is mainly a jobber, sadly enough. When he was introduced and defeated Earth's bricks (pun intended, as Thing was the last contender and pretty much saved the planet), he was a god-like huge man who spent his time boxing in a ring, facing a planet's strongest inhabitants and often just annihilating the planet afterwards. She-Hulk was sulking because she wasn't allowed to fight... and in later years, she used a double-dare PIS to defeat Champ anyway, after he pretty much beat the likes of Gladiator without breaking a sweat. He's an Elder, but IMHO hardly acts like one. Anyway, most of the Elders are weird anyway: one likes to collect rare stamps, one has a gambling addiction, another likes English boxing, then there's a cosmic dwarf and one who enjoys the fine art of gardening. That being said: Champ with power gem would make for a HUGE powerhouse, mainly on the physical level.
Bor is so bad ass and they need to bring him back asap! I'd say he's practically a cosmic aspect level guy(celestials, the stranger, in-betweener, etc) I'm loving all of the videos you're posting. Keep at it!!!

awesome video was interesting to watch I believe in lots of stuff and the Norse mythology is one I personally really enjoyed and got to know growing up Marvel's depiction of them is different like there's a lot that's not as crazy or there not as wise in the long haul but makes sense for the marvel story to change from actual text

Which brings me on to another point as I see many in the comments not happy that Thor beat Bor due to Bor being so powerful and I agree it makes no sense but what makes less sense is that seeing as they aren't immortal and will die one day as we do it only follows that they should have a cycle of growth and decline as we do. When they hit a certain age their power should start declining. If they were immortal then it would make sense that they just get more and more powerful but it follows that if they eventually die from old age then the older they are the more their powers should decline and in that way Thor in his maturity should be beating his grandfather but oh well.

Thor wasn`t stripped of Odinforce , he used the last remaining odinforce( though he still had a tiny bit left( doctor strange said it would require using almost all his power but it wasn`t enough to make him different in power than his regular version) he had to repair mjolnir because it was required to repair the hammer.

@@berni5192 One thing to keep in mind is that the fight took place on Earth where Asgardians are at a disadvantage. That disadvantage doesn't apply to Thor however as he is not a pure Asgardian. Half of his heritage comes from Gaea so some of his power actually comes from the Earth.

As they went out to chart the universe in the early days covering Niffleheim and the other magnificent 8 realms, they arrived in Muspelheim. Greeted by an envoy, a fire nymph if memory serves correct, they were all three drawn in to meet the subjugator of the realm. See, at the time, they were the most powerful deities in the known world up until this point and feared nothing as nothing could threaten them, no frost giant, beast, nothing. After long delay they were finally greeted by Surtur; the god of fire and flame. Sutur understood his role in the twilight of the gods and knew that Asgardians were the only threat to his desired realization of turning the 9 worlds to ash. A valiant fight ensued which, in his realm, Surtur continuously summoned fire demons to fight on his side, and the godlings, young at this point were overmatched. They saw the eternal flame, ensured Odin took it since he rode a faster steed and was smaller than the others and made a run for the portal which led to Muspelheim. Realizing that they would never be able to make it in time and the need to delay Surtur so Odin could escape with the eternal flame, they stopped and battle Surtur to the death. Once Odin was safely outside the portal he turned to look upon his brothers. Realizing they weren't going to accompany him, he turned to return to their side to battle the elemental fire god. Prior to his re entry into the portal Vili and Ve, joining hands sealed the way. Scrambling to find a way inside, Odin was struck with a power not known to his brothers. The power bestowed to them from Bor, matured and grown in them three even more powerful than any power known in the 9 worlds, the Odin power. His brothers had passed and he and he alone was the sole survivor of the sons of Bor. Although Bor had siblings and illegitimates, it was now Odin who was the sole heir to the power stemming from Yggdrasil itself. The unadulterated power of three gods powers concentrated in once source. Odin grew tired and was forced to rest. Thus the Odin sleep first occurred as even an Asgardian was incapable of tolerating such a power without "rest" as Asgardians aren't immortals, titans, or eternals. To channel such power and to be able to focus it, he utilized his fathers spear Gungnir. After a millennium or two, he realized he needed to find a more powerful weapon to channel his power and created Thrudstock with which he would battle in the Ragnarok and with which his line would essentially be no more.Hope this helps. This has been passed down to my family since the latter part of the 5th century with modern injects from various authors and even the marvel universe (Titans, etc. ) The weapons are accurate to my lineage though.

awesome video was interesting to watch I believe in lots of stuff and the Norse mythology is one I personally really enjoyed and got to know growing up Marvel's depiction of them is different like there's a lot that's not as crazy or there not as wise in the long haul but makes sense for the marvel story to change from actual text

Which brings me on to another point as I see many in the comments not happy that Thor beat Bor due to Bor being so powerful and I agree it makes no sense but what makes less sense is that seeing as they aren't immortal and will die one day as we do it only follows that they should have a cycle of growth and decline as we do. When they hit a certain age their power should start declining. If they were immortal then it would make sense that they just get more and more powerful but it follows that if they eventually die from old age then the older they are the more their powers should decline and in that way Thor in his maturity should be beating his grandfather but oh well.

Thor wasn`t stripped of Odinforce , he used the last remaining odinforce( though he still had a tiny bit left( doctor strange said it would require using almost all his power but it wasn`t enough to make him different in power than his regular version) he had to repair mjolnir because it was required to repair the hammer.
