Gorgeous 90s moods of different shades, led by the magic vocals of Dolores... Thanks for watching! 🥰
Oh Delores! Two wonderful, wonderful albums. Thanks.
Fun fact: before releasing their greatest hits Stars, the Cranberries held a poll for the fans to vote their favourite song. The song with the most votes would make it to the greatest hits. And the winner was Daffodil Lament.
The Dolores' voice R.I.P belongs to another world, as well as Maggie Reilly's voice.
Love it!
If you dig that, check out The Sundays. (Every time I play them, my wife asks, "Is this The Cranberries?") Their debut album was in 1990, and one standout is "Here's Where The Story Ends."
Telepathy in full force today my friend! I was thinking of that very song as I was listening to Sunday. I love that song, just forgot the artist's name. I should add The Sundays to my channel! Thanks for being first here today 😊🥇
@@retroreactions.... I love The Sundays! 💖 My favorite album by them is "static & silence" and if you are going to to two or three or four of their songs in a reaction (most are between 3 - 4 minutes long) one of my most favorite is only 2:23 long, "I Can't Wait", it's perfection to me, although it always leaves me wanting more and every time I play it I end up playing it several times in a row, like just now!!👌😁Lot's of other great cuts on that album as well, with "Summertime" being their biggest hit. 👍
Thanks! Looks like I need to add a Sundays row to my request spreadsheet 😀
@@retroreactions.... 🥳
daffodil lament may be their best song, certainly from the early years. and i think it really captures what the cranberries could do, all of their colours.
Sunday sounds very much inspired by the Sundays' You're Not The Only One I Know.
(I'm a huge Cranberries fan and I've been listening to them since high school in the 90s, but one can't deny the smiliarities between the songs)
That first album was awesome, still enjoy it!
Powerful music for sure, glad you like Dave... 🙂
I really enjoyed listening to both of these songs. I haven’t put on either of these albums in a while, so it was nice to get reacquainted! 😊
Hi there. Top notch music. Another stunning and spellbinding voice for me. I hope you enjoy tomorrow's epic..I have a feeling it's gonna be great!
I still primarily listen to classical, jazz and prog rock...specifically 70's prog rock...and pretty much gave up on anything "new" back in the 90's. The Cranberries are literally one of only a handful of 90's bands I ever listened to and got into at all (another being Concrete Blonde). Thanks for the listen.
Sad to hear you've given up on anything new in prog. I'm swimmin' in it!
Great choice for the exception! Love their vibe. I never delved into Concrete Blonde for some reason...
I loved most of their stuff except Zombie, which most people love. Linger is a lovely song ❤
Gorgeous is the word I was going to use. Ok, we both can. LoL : ) This is a tear jerker for me.
Yes, between her voice and the lyrics.....😥
RIP Dolores O'Riordan, the Liz Fraser's dîme dollar store version.
It's mercifully short.
Zombie is one of my most hated songs.
Thanks you Brandon but no thanks you!
