In Luttrell's book he said he was down to a last few rounds of ammo when he was found by the villager, but the villager himself said Lutrell had many magazines still stuffed in his webbing. Another problem was regarding Matthew Axelson. When found Lutrell stated categorically all his team were dead, which prevented anyone from the village below looking for him to see if he could be helped. However, when Axel was eventually found, his injuries had the appearence of someone who had lived for a much longer time than if he'd died when Lutrell claimed. If true then Axel could have possibly been saved if looked for asap. A lot of things don't add up with Lutrell's book.

The first thing that I thought about when hearing Lutrell's story about a soft compromise due to sparing goat herders was Bravo Two Zero. And after finding out that the guy who 'helped' him write the book was a BRITISH fiction author it REALLY raised my eyebrows.
There is a podcast called "antihero podcast" pretty good, run by former delta force operator and his friend whose a street cop, they interviewed a seal about operation redwings and you can listen to it. They showed clips of marcus admitting that he ran away and he could hear them on the radio asking for help saying "marcus, where are you? I need you" by michael murphy and he admits to just turning off his radio and continuing to run away. This is an interview early on with lutrell, on tape.
B2Z, 'Andy', was extensively exposed as almost total fiction; see youtube; eg, 'Andys' post mission, SAS RSM debriefer interviewed: 'Andy' total fraud.
@@j.Dee333 hey, sorry for my delay in responding. Also I may have possibly misremembered the interview. I remembered him saying he turned off his radio and kept running, but he said in the interview he heard Murphy asking for help saying “Marcus, where are you? I need you.” And he said he turned off his radio and put his gun down and gave up, and said “I was a coward” it’s his Anderson cooper interview. It is worth listening to the antihero podcast on Marcus Luttrell though as creates more perspective. It’s important to “trust but verify.” As Ronald Reagan said. Few things don’t add up, which they cover in that podcast. One the book was written by a fiction writer. Two, they go over the logical fact of them claiming there were 200 fighters but the initial intel said shaw was a small cell leader; basically a nobody with a dozen men at most. Third, they cite saying how Matthew axelson, when found, seemingly hadn’t been dead for no more than 2 or three days, which was over a week after the battle. And the reason that’s important is Marcus told the rangers who found him that they were all dead, so that caused them to approach more cautiously instead of in earnest for search and rescue of potential survivors. They also say that the rangers who found Marcus said that he was found with most of his ammunition, indicating he didn’t fire much, if at all. List goes on. Been a while since I saw the interview, so memory isn’t fresh. Either way though it’s good to hear multiple perspectives and investigate before believing anything outright.
@hownoble6404 Not trying to be That Guy, but most of what you described was in the book. Marcus clearly stated that he did give up for a minute. He stopped, covered his ears, and went in the fetal position. As for Axe, Marcus said he was separated from him, so he didn't know what happened to him. Also, I'm wondering if what they were saying about the ammo is accurate. Did they inspect the mags to see if they were full? Were they empty mags that Marcus retained after using? It's hard to judge when we don't have all of the information.
The SEALS shouldn't have been involved with this operation. It should have been the Marines' operation from the get-go. But there's always the ego factor that comes into play. Thanks for sharing the truth about this operation.

The Taliban released footage of this like 2 days after it happened. In fact if you Google: operation Red wings from Taliban perspective the first post that comes up is an old Reddit thread that still has the video.
That video was all over for a while but was hard to find once the movie came out. It was clear from it what had taken place was not the same story. However that is how it works.
Exactly what I said. Something is not being told about that part of the story at all. If you don’t know without question you have coms in an area that hairy you are not going there period
This is the first time I've heard this story about the radio. The story I previously heard about the radio is that the people that were supposed to be manning the radio were only manning the radio during scheduled com check times. In between those scheduled coms they were outside playing some type of football game. That is the story Eric Deming, a seal, has said is the narrative in the seal communities. There wasn't an issue with the equipment, the people manning the radio at the base weren't manning the radio.
Nah man, this has been known for a long time. I was at 2/75 for 8 years , rangers that came before me told us all about this OP cause they were there… even team guys that we knew told the same story. This was a f*** OP from the very beginning. It should have never had happened, but I don’t blame Marcus for any of this , it’s not his fault. It was the overconfident leadership, pride and arrogance. Unfortunately a common problem in the Seal teams, that’s not just my opinion. I blame the Navy, they spun this story because let’s be real, this OP made them look really really bad, they got outflanked, outmaneuvered and outsmarted . Sending a Seal Team into that area was a horrible idea, they had zero knowledge of the terrain , zero knowledge of infantry tactics, they were not prepared AT ALL. They thought they could pull it on will alone, and that’s not how things work. Put 4 guys from a Marine rifle co in there or 4 experienced Rangers in there and its gonna go down a lil differently. But that would have never had happened because nobody in the SOF community wanted this OP because it was clear it was going to be a bad decision, not worth it. Not a dig at the seals , great dudes over there but their leadership is not the best , that’s putting it kindly. And this was not their forte.
@@brokenwrench404you know as much about what happened as the next idiot. I know exactly how you'll react to this statement, but the saying "Don't believe everything you read" continues to be relevant for a reason.
One more thing to add is, it is doubted if it was a lucky RPG shot or an SA-7 shot. There were reports of SA-7 being in the area, and the Marines were aware of that. No idea if this was ever communicated to the SEALs. This was a very poorly planned OP, and while Tacticore has done a really good job at summarizing it in a short video, there is so much more to Red Wings if one decides to dig up and connect the dots.
The SA-7 information is probably still being ignored because it would confirm that the cia did lose/sell a bunch of SA-7s, indirectly causing this problem.
There's alot more to Red wings than most will be able to dig up and those who can and do will probably ênd up realizing their blissful ignorance was much better for their own mental health. It's that bad.SAD but true.

I never understood why they didn’t take the herders with them until they left, or at least until they got radio signal. Or even tying them up and notifying their village once they reached safety-
There would have been no way to silence them without it also leading to an international problem. Not to mention afghans are notoriously known for lying about things we did not do. A good example of this is we would test fire certain weapons in areas where there was nobody without a very large region. They would hear us shooting or blowing up something and they would slaughter a goat bring it to the gate of the FOB and demand X amount of dollars for what we didn’t do to their goat. Sadly we would pay them just in hopes to keep a cohesive relationship. If they were tied up and gagged which they would have to be gagged or else they would just start screaming as soon as the seals left which would lead to the same thing as them walking back to the village to alert. If they gagged them it’s hard to say what the herders would falsely claim when they were found
Irrelevant. The herders never returned, so they knew the SEALS were there. If I sent you up a mountain to see if the SEALS are there, and you don't come back, I know where the SEALS are.
I rarely comment on you tube videos, but I have to be honest this video made me angry. There is no shortage of Tier 1 operator that discusses Operation Red Wing (Marcus included) on You Tube. Watching the multitude of personal perspectives videos on what occurred between June 27 and July 1 2005 would lead the viewer to believe that an “elite” group of warriors were victims of unforeseen circumstances and bad luck. When in fact what killed all those brave men was arrogance and toxic Tier 1 culture. I am a gulf war Army veteran that served as a helicopter crew chief. I have had my share of MEDEVAC troop delivery and extractions missions. I have been exposed to both conventional and tier 1 troops. Although everybody in combat arms jobs are alphas, tier I operators take that to a ridiculously “stupid” level. I wasn’t surprised that the video pointed out that the original mission was not intended for the Tier 1 operators. (Marines didn’t have air assets….really?) As a result of no real combat since the end of Vietnam, a lot of combat arms troops were starved “to get some”, no one more than tier 1 operators. I personally witnessed a Green Beret major confront and wrestle away a mission from a 2nd ACR troop commander in a mission brief meeting because his “operators” were “hungry”. The original Red Wing plan was for a 6 man Marine recon team lead by an “experience leader” who understood the terrain and coms requirement. Who was the idiot that thought it was a better idea to send a FOUR man team (ya I know Seals are the GOAT) with no real Afghan recon experience and then to make matters worse ignore the Marines advice to bring more powerful radios. I won’t even comment how needless it was to lose the 16 QFR troops that were shot out of the sky in broad daylight!!!. What I want to know is was there any real consequence to command and control staff to this goat fuck or where they allowed to retire “quietly”?
The SEALs on this mission were not Tier 1...not DEVGRU. They were regular SEALs...more or less...and not ready for what they volunteered for that fateful day. IIRC, one or 2 were from an SDV team. This mission went from something that should've been done by Marine Recon / Army Rangers, to a super secret SEAL mission that was FUBAR from jump. RIP to all of the brave men who lost their lives in that colossal GOAT F*CK of a mission. May it serve to educate future troops on what to do/not do in battle.
SEAL teams are Tier 2 units, with the exception of DEVGRU which is the only Tier 1 unit outside of Army 1st SFOD-Delta. SEAL teams, MARSOC, Airforce P.J.s, Ranger Regiment and Army S.F. groups are all Tier 2. 1st SFOD-Delta and DEVGRU are the only Tier 1 units and they're not toxic nor do they have a history of being toxic. Their histories are stellar. The tier 2 SEAL teams however are a very different story.
You can find the video from the Taliban side. It was not a massive firefight. Story I heard was it was a Marine operation but they wanted access to more air assets that came with special ops. USMC took the air assets, SEALs took the recon. You can hear a chinook for MILES at night in the mountains…this was a bad op from before the rotors even turned.
It was basically a 30 second, brutal, well executed ambush that the SEALs were criminally unprepared for. Probably because these guys were extreme specialists, not the type of 'door kicker' SEALs used to infantry tactics. Most of it was SEAL arrogance and glory seeking, as the Marines repeatedly warned about the high risk environment and said that helo insertion would be pointless.
wanted some air cuz the marines had a guy drowned and he was swept down river . the seals took their craft they ended walkin all the way to the wood yard
Seals with their self belief that they are the best and no one else comes close are made to look like a bunch of amateurs by the Talibans. It was a tragedy. RIP to the fallen.
It's sad to say, but you are correct about some of the seals thinking that they can walk on water like Jesus Christ. I was at a school at Ft. BENNING with a group of them. And I can tell you from first person perspective, there were about 50% I wouldn't go on vacation with, let alone a war zone. That said, it was the younger ones that I am talking about.
This revelation of the ill fated mission showed how shrewd the Talibans were tactically. They took full advantage of the mistakes made by the Seals and checked mate them royally in every possible way.
People don't realize how experienced some of the taliban are......they fought the Russians for almost 20 yrs and then we came in as well...dudes have been in conflict for their whole lives basically...with a hometown advantage
bro this is what i’m talking about. them guys have one specific job which is a millionth what actually goes on in war and they can’t even do that crap right. but yet everyone simps because it looks cool.
you're right... This is an example when a US team with bad leadership, fights someone better prepared. Even the Marines or Army with 4 guys and no back up, would turn this down if the plans and logistics were not changed... it would have been an issue. The Seals had no previous experience, too many flights in the area, left a rope, no comms, no heavy machine gun, and high altitude. Your comment really hits home when you start to realize how many failed missions there are and why both Iraq and Afgan wars as a whole was a complete failure.
Not a bad video, and it highlighted the issues in the planning phase of the mission well. I think there is some drone footage that it is out there (or about to be out there) of the exact firefight, which probably ought to be added to this video. Also, there are some podcasts with the Rangers who did the rescue mission, and I think it's worth mentioning that Axelson was apparently found on like the 10th day slumped against a tree, dead. BUT... he looked like he had been dead for only like 1-2 days at that point. So maybe he survived the firefight but died of something else like dehydration, disease, or infection. I won't point fingers at how that even came to be or even blame (I've never been in a firefight), but apparently Luttrell told the Rangers his whole team was dead, which slowed the search down. Axelson might have survived otherwise.
Same fairytale as Bravo Two Zero, the wheels usually come off their stories when they let an agent write the account, it all comes down to their bank balances, stuff the memories of the fallen, now this guy’s been rumbled.
How did Marcus know what the rest of the team did and how they lost their lives if he didn’t see it. I know they fought like the brave men they were. But if you were not with them how do you tell a movie director everything they did.
Easy, he lied just like everything else. He only hangs out with the other story tellers. Another seal married the wife of one of the dead guys… that’s low
@@SAMSUNGS-yo4tcdon’t think they were begging to be spared,… in the actual footage you can hear the cameraman yell out to the seals that if they surrendered they would be spared
The narrator is wrong about the SEAL Team not having recon experience. This team specialized in reconnaissance. It was a SEAL Delivery Vehicle team (a small submersible vehicle used by SEALs to get as close to a target as possible while under water). The team trained on every aspect of reconnaissance and insertion prior to deploying to Afghanistan. The failure of the mission was due to the lack of redundant communications. The acronym PACE is always applied when planning communications for a mission. Primary, Alternate, Contingency and Emergency.
🤦♂️ You forgot to mention the part when Marcus ran away from his teammates and left them to die... I look forward to seeing how fast you take this video down when the drone feed is made public in the next year. A video that you should do is how Marcus Rat-trell took 2-3 days off during Basic Underwater Demolition School and had his twin brother fill in for him. Ofcourse only a few people now know of this blunder today. But at the time this would have caused Marcus to immediately fail B.U.D.S and cause him to be rolled back to the fleet most likely. Which would've changed the outcome of these future events.. because Marcus would've never been tasked with Operation Redwing. Alternatively Marcus most likely wouldn't have even became a SEAL. So the part in your video where you say he "Rolled" down the mountain. By Rolled you mean Ran away to leave his friends alone on that mountain. God bless 🙏
It’s red wings, as in the hockey team. For all we know, he lied about the time his brother filled in too. He is in politics now, probably in the blood to lie.
" only a few people know of this blunder today"? You mean besides the millions of people that have heard Lutrell tell the story on various podcasts for many years? Go back to your video games and let the adults talk......
Many years ago a video circulated on the web of the "red wing" operation that showed that they had at least 10 other afghan soldiers with them. They where not just 4 seals like in the movie. Which makes sense, you need some local support in that kind of op. The video showed the rolling of the mountain on rocks etc not just the seals but also some afghan solders. You can't find that video anymore btw.
In the combat footage you can hear Marcus Luttrell yelling to Michael, as he was making the sat phone call. "Michael, come back, Michael." "Michael, come back." And nearing the end of the footage, you can hear Axelson talking back to Luttrell, after an initial RPG blast. "What happened?" "Michael?" "Where at?" "We gotta get back" "where's michael?" In numerous interviews given, Marcus stated how he was standing up waiving his hands. How all he wanted was for Michael to come back down to him. Marcus also said Axe was still talking to him, before being separated by yet another RPG. Also, Marcus accurately described the wounds on his teammates. He said Dietz got shot through the head, as he was carrying him. In the combat footage, you can see the exit wound on Dietz's left cheek. He also said Murphy suffered a wound to the stomach, a busted face, and was coated in dust. All accurately described by Marcus. Also, Axelson was found by the locals and was buried. The GBs had to bribe them by building generators, paving roads, and bringing livestock so they would reveal the position of Axe. One of the GBs, Travis Osborn said on the team never quit podcast "he had 1 mag in his kit, and 11 rounds in the mag in his gun." There's also a portion in the combat footage where you can hear a deep Texan tone yell "I'm hit" before a suppressed gunshot

@COD_GOD91 I wouldn’t say all the seals in general, it’s like saying all Black people steal, or all white people don’t know how to season their food. If you have listened to a lot of Podcast it’s a certain demographics of Seals. They all stem from Jocko. Like Chapmen’s ridge, where the seals left him to die. Most of the lie have came from him and the Seals that worked for him.
Also, after reading a lot into what happened at Operation Red Wings, I am on the side that no vote actually took place as to whether or not the SEAL team decides to kill the non-combatant. Lutrell said it because he can’t handle the fact a decision was made to let civilian go, thinking this was the reason his friends died. But in reality, the helicopter insertion, the rope, and them just travelling around a mountain watched by the local constantly is what signed their death warrant in the first place.
It should be noted, axle stayed there for a week and fought by himself after luttrel ran away without firing a shot. He died there alone because his team mate left him to die. The book, the movie, all a ploy by the navy to memorialize the operation and the ones that died. What people dont realize, SOF, seals, etc etc.... are not as lethal or proficient as their active duty conventional counterparts.
Luttrell is a crowd facts are facts axelson was find dead kms away from the firefight standing beside a tree dead he was dead less than 48 hrs he was found 10 days after so he survived over a week shot to hell no water no food. Now that a a true hero and warrior.
We don't know what actually happened on that mountain, all we know is that Marcus put his tail between his legs and ran from the fight leaving his buddies behind to fend for themselves until death, sad but true.
This is a good breakdown but you have the part about the rpg wrong. The antihero podcast had an interview with a guy in the know. He said there was intel about sa7 heat guided rockets in the area which is why seal team six members weren’t allowed to go on the qrf. The helicopter never had a chance. It wasn’t a lucky rpg shot.
How tf did some haji gain access to the seal's laptop? Special operations don't require any kind of password or security for sensitive information? Or are they saying he had access to high tech stuff to beat the US' encryption
Matt Axelson didn't die during the fight. He died alone at the rendezvous point many days later because Marcus Luttrell lied about him being dead. The commanders decided not to risk more lives to search for him since he was supposedly dead. Marcus lied, Matt died. And then he came home and made millions off of his lies. And not only him. His brother Morgan road on the coattails of his brother's fame to become a Congressman.
@@simonevans5562 if it had been you or I, we'd rightfully be sitting in Leavenworth right now. But evil has a way of looking out for itself. Having a Congressman brother probably helps.
@emanuelroth7960 yeah you're probably right about that. If the info is out that he lied, which led to a follow solder being abandoned and left for dead. He should be tried, but he won't
@BobLoblaw23 yeah wtf are they going in with that? And how was that dude able to login and without using some kind of security code? Unless someone gave it to him. Was this setup or something for them to get those blueprints
With all that said I have one issue with Eric deming and him saying that Marcus telling the rangers that rescued him that all the rest of the seals were dead and thus that delayed the rescue by many many days and when they found axelson he seemed to only have passed a day or two prior so they blame Marcus for that but here’s the problem Marcus was found 7 days after another team went to retrieve the body’s from the chinook accident. The chinook was taken care of first and then they worked their way down. They actually went up the mountain first get the bodies the like 10 hours later. Took them some time to get up there and set everything up. The people sheltering Marcus sent a guy to jallalabad just like the movie shows and that’s how they got word that Marcus is alive and thus it went into rescue mode and they found Marcus 7 days after the whole thing went down. Axelson, dietz and Murphy were found a day or two later. Nobody delayed body retrieval because Marcus said they were dead, that’s ridiculous claim by Eric deming. In fact Marcus gave them locations of where they might find the bodies and it helped. Was axelson might have been alive for all those days? Maybe but I highly doubt it. He was shot in the head with other multiple wounds. And nobody will delay retrieval based on one guys words who just supposedly went through hell for 7+ days. He’s in shock and mind is all over the place, would you take his word for it and delay? Nobody would do that, definitely not a brotherhood.
Marcus Luttrell has become wealthy off the backs of his dead teammates. He has told the lie for so long that he believes it himself. I have always questioned the narrative put out from day one. Luttrell ran and left his buddies fighting for their lives. When you are the lone survivor you can tell whatever story you want to. Hell even the Afghans called b/s on his story.
I've seen the movie and read the book...they're two very different stories. Either way, the Seal team would've lived had they just brought the herders with them as they egressed the area. Should've walked an hour or two with them, then cut em loose. Would've drastically increased Shahs response time as well as increased the amount of time the Seals would've had to boogie after cutting them loose. I believe they had Go-Fever. They wanted to push on when it wasn't tactically sound.
this failed to mention that when the selas were dropped off, the ropes where cut off because the were too long.. usually the ropes are retrieved back into the chopper.. the insurgents found the ropes.
I agree in this environment anyway. When most of your training involves near freezing temperatures, hypothermia, being under water, salt, disorientation, ect., it would be about like throwing a fish out into a desert. Might be the most bad ass fish ever, but still a fish in a desert.
I can’t but wonder if the emphasis on “the Rangers found Luttrell with his MAGAZINES STILL LOADED” was meant to mean anything? Almost like he didn’t shoot as much as he should have based on the size made the battle out to be? He has already said that “I laid my rifle down in battle and covered his ears” did he participate in the battle at all? Did he retreat way before his teammates? Did he abandon his team & fall down cliffs along the way thus injuring himself retreating immediately instead of staying and fighting alongside his team like some in the SOF community believe?
I think the term hero is overused. I think calling someone who ran from combat, abandoned his team mates, and wrote them all off as dead stalling any burger rescue is about as far away from HERO as you get!
That was a job for experienced Marine STA whose function is recon not direct action Seals new in country. Just guessing here, but the Seals may have wanted their team to gain some experience and pushed to take over the Op.
Lutrell ran, he left his brothers to die, he didn’t shoot for sh*t. If i was a seal i would have died with my brothers in battle. Knowing that if i survived and came back home, leaving my brothers would haunt me forever.

Charlie Murphy!! There is truth to your statement. The navy definitely could not allow their guys to look like rubes. This was a recruiting film, I couldn’t watch marky mark
thought this was going to be the real story and then you completely missed so many things, 1. the shepherds were there to see there weponry, BUT, the fighters were already following the americans for almost an entire full day before hand (seen in the real footage) 2. besides murphy, only 1 only man died during that fight and alex was able to make it back to there designated area where they would go to incase of a engagement and lost each other, when they found him after 10 days because marcus said “they are all dead” the examination of the body determined he died around the 8th day, therefore he could have been saved if not for marcus’s words. the (vote) for the shepherds life was determined to be fake aswell, and just a lot more facts you are missing from this story
Are there TWO Lt Commander Erik Kristenson’s? Or did he die in 2005, on operation Red Wings,; then shake it off and then got killed again on chinook "Extortion 17" in 2011?
I like how people shit on marcus,He said himself he layed down and covered his ears "Im a coward" He lived and told the story of the heroic actions of his friends
This story is not "True". Luttrell could hear his teammates calling for help from him and the coward threw down his gun and ran away. Luttrell told the rescue team that everyone in his squad was dead, they shut down rescue operations because of that. Recovery operations found two of the bodies and confirmed they had been dead since day one. They found the final body after ten days of searching and said he had only been dead for one to two days. Luttrell is a coward and a liar. Good men died because of him. The book and movies making him out to be some kind of hero disgust me. "True" stories that leave out his cowardice disgust me as well.
Also hate the way the movie made Danny look. Like he was weak and scared when in fact he was the only SEAL on the team that had experienced combat before….government propaganda just like American Sniper…

I think there is a movie in the works about that
In Luttrell's book he said he was down to a last few rounds of ammo when he was found by the villager, but the villager himself said Lutrell had many magazines still stuffed in his webbing.

But that would have never had happened because nobody in the SOF community wanted this OP because it was clear it was going to be a bad decision, not worth it.

That doesn’t give him an entire excuse I’m just stating something most civilians do not know
@@OG-Ghost33. Step #1 is to return fire/establish fire superiority, before you can treat any casualties at all. But A 4 man recce team isn’t going to be able to treat their casualties at all in a gunfight, and also in the process of breaking contact, which you MUST do. You simply don’t have the firepower to offer much suppression, so in reality you’d likely have to leave your guy behind, he’s a goner. Hopefully destroy his radio first. This is the truth. And that seems to be what they did. There’s no possible way to get him. Medic needs to return fire and move with the team as it leaves asap. recce teams (I currently serve in a recon unit) are meant to break contact immediately you can’t really fight back much , like a squad or larger unit can. How many missions did Lutrell do that were a success? That’s the story’s I want to hear from him
It is entirely possible that he knew he could not help them and he could have known that due to all of them being dead or near dead already all he would do by returning fire is turn the fire toward him. It’s easy to say then just die bro. Do what you should have done tho you knew it would not help your brother and it would only end up equaling you dead? That’s easy to say
Marcus Luttrell never fired his gun and ran down the mountain abandoning his fellow soldiers. Apparently 1 of them might have lived 8 to 9 days after the attack but because marcus told rescuers all of his fellow comrades were dead the search team wasn't able to find them until 10 days after Luttrell was rescued.

I never understood why they didn’t take the herders with them until they left, or at least until they got radio signal. Or even tying them up and notifying their village once they reached safety-
The goats also?
If they gagged them it’s hard to say what the herders would falsely claim when they were found
That’s the part in the movie that I didn’t understand, that they didn’t tie off the herder loose end.
Irrelevant. The herders never returned, so they knew the SEALS were there. If I sent you up a mountain to see if the SEALS are there, and you don't come back, I know where the SEALS are.
@@jestice75 that’s under the assumption that you’re sending herders up for the specific purpose of looking for seals. Where does it say that.
And instead of telling the story as it happened so others could learn from it. They instead covered it up to save face and protect the brand.

Why would there be embassy blueprints on a laptop that would be taken into the field? Pretty implausible
Youre giving the military too much credit. Given everything else that happened in this story, you find that implausible?
There's literally footage of them going through the laptop. It happened...
Why would they send the seals out with a computer that had sensitive information on it?
You can find the video from the Taliban side. It was not a massive firefight. Story I heard was it was a Marine operation but they wanted access to more air assets that came with special ops. USMC took the air assets, SEALs took the recon. You can hear a chinook for MILES at night in the mountains…this was a bad op from before the rotors even turned.
It was about 20 on 4. There is old video of the fight from live leak. It has been edited and scrubbed from the original.
Agreed, once they needed more SOF guys, all the branches let some shit slip through.
@@Rubeless True. Apparently it's the way of our country now.
Michael Asher's book and documentary, The Real Bravo Two Zero, shed a lot of light on the truth.
I've heard quite a few stories how the SEALs would just take command. Treating others as their Sherpa's.

Because he was coached by command to help the Navy save face.
That's not what the footage from a PREDATOR drone showed...Marcus abandoned his brothers.
Experience > Training.

2:27 - 2:35 minutes 😮
God bless 🙏

Why would the military send Navy Seal to do mountain reconnaissance?
This is a good breakdown but you have the part about the rpg wrong. The antihero podcast had an interview with a guy in the know. He said there was intel about sa7 heat guided rockets in the area which is why seal team six members weren’t allowed to go on the qrf. The helicopter never had a chance. It wasn’t a lucky rpg shot.

Matt Axelson didn't die during the fight. He died alone at the rendezvous point many days later because Marcus Luttrell lied about him being dead. The commanders decided not to risk more lives to search for him since he was supposedly dead.

Truth finally coming out marcus leaving hes pals and not grtting into the fight

I can’t but wonder if the emphasis on “the Rangers found Luttrell with his MAGAZINES STILL LOADED” was meant to mean anything? He has already said that “I laid my rifle down in battle and covered his ears” did he participate in the battle at all? Did he retreat way before his teammates? Did he abandon his team & fall down cliffs along the way thus injuring himself retreating immediately instead of staying and fighting alongside his team like some in the SOF community believe?

Yes all true, but they also made it look like it was all seals operation
This is hilarious 😂😂😂
