- (Season 2, episode 3): Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg takes us on a tour of garages around the country, from professional outfits to grassroots backyard garages. In this episode we visit Coupe Kingin Long Beach, California. Coupe King is owned and operated by Peter and Erik “Slick” Sliskovich, a father and son team. It started as a hobby in the early 80s, but has since evolved into a highly recognized full-service BMW restoration and parts business. Slick shares their enormous collection of BMWs including a pair of rare orange 1971 ultralight 3.0 CSL. In the garage we see just how busy this shop is with an incredible number of full restorations in progress. Then it’s time to get behind the wheel as Forsberg takes a 1974 3.0 CS with 260 HP to the streets of Long Beach.

I've owned two old BMWs from the seventies. God I loved to drive those cars. That shop is a dream come true.
I’ve had a couple of 2002’s (late 60’s to early 70’s), and they are addictive.
What's more jaw dropping is all the rare parts that Peter has laying around. All the rare stuff that you would love to have for your car and you can't find. He has it.
That blue and green line running down the sides of that 1974 3.0 cs fits that car perfectly. Just wow...

Had a 69 2002 then a few years later bought a new, 1976 2002 in Polaris Silver. THE absolute only car I have owned, I'd love to have back.
OMG, that collection was drool worthy to say the least, and that alpina at the end had one of the best exhaust notes Ive ever heard. I can't wait to build my e36 from the ground up soon, great video.

I had a 1502 can’t remember the year. Drove it all over Europe. Paris was fun in such a little car!

THE reason for my love for the marque! So much more appealing than anything BMW puts out today. My passion started back in the early 70s with a wonderful man who took my family in as renters when my father had to deploy to Korea without us while we were in Germany. My first ride was in a 1600 (at the tender age of 5). I've owned several BMWs, but my heart will always belong to the 2002. Perhaps the only car I ever sold that I regret to this day parting with.

THE perfect classic BMW driver. Love the car in black with the Alpina color stripes. Almost 300bhp & trq is a ton of power for those old lightweight E9s. Being a 3.8l is if far from stressed so you can drive it hard and no worry about it breaking like old Italian sport coupes.

I find it funny how he says BMW's are a driver's car, but Porsches aren't. I think I see more classic Porsches actually driving than BMW's.
