I honestly never expected it either. I have some cypress seedlings the exact same age in individual 3" pots and they are at best about 8 - 10 inches so I think they're taking advantage of the huge space.
I would love to buy any over stock you might have, or any over stock of seeds? I would love to do forest of cypress too. I need to go back and watch how you started these trees. I was just watching another video about starting Baldcypress from seeds, and this tree pro only got one to germinate out of a whole flat he planted. He said they are a difficult tree to start from seed, but clearly you got the magic touch here!! 🤣🤣🤣
I don't sell plants because I'm not a licensed nursery, just a hobbyist. Also cypress seed remain viable for only a short period so I don't have any left from last year. I picked the cones in Dec and Jan so it will be a few more months to get fresh seed. I then put them in a paper bag in the fridge until I saw the cones begin to fall apart - about a month. I got the best germination that way. Here's the links to the planting videos, ruclips.net/video/rSqkf-cQ7Sw/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/W2vysklXo6Q/видео.html I hope that helps!
Yes, I planning on doing just that very shortly. I will not be removing too many trees from this particular group because I want to create a cypress "dome" look. I also have four more trays of cypress all the same age and I plan on separating many more trees from the group in those trays.
That's incredible growth for 6 months!! I can't even get weeds to germinate for me!

Love this. Thanks for ideas
I will be working it in a few months once it goes dormant. Stay turned!
Could you pull out individual trees in a set up like this?
