    A great start. I thought Nana was a needle juniper as opposed to a scale juniper.

      I'm no expert but these procumbens I have grow with both mature and immature foliage, usually there's a combination of both on any one individual tree. I think the more you trim them the more they shoot immature growth and the mature growth re-emerges after a period of time.
