I like the fact that they don’t make complete redesigns, rather just focusing on what works and where subtle improvements can be made… I feel like the other brands should actually take note of this approach. Also, big fan of the on-feet summary, really helpful for everyone in terms of how they will feel. Keep it up Noah!!
These look great! I love your longer videos because u convey information in a great way and your filming setup is top notch! The boots are on my radar, but i actually just got the alpha 1 on discount after watching jaymikes video😅 the alpha 2 look like a better option for slightly wider foot types, but since im normal to narrow in width, and prefer the stiffer kaevo insole of the first alpha, i decided to buy the first gen alpha with a very good price. Will eventually try the alpha 2 once they drop a bit in price😅
Hey Noah, do you know if Mizuno is coming out with another Morelia DNA anytime soon? I heard rumors but I figured you might have an inside source. Keep up the vids
Love this! I liked a lot about the original but even as a medium width foot player the fit just wasn’t good enough. Looks like they fixed pretty much all the issues!
Will you check out the elites as well? In previous generation i liked them better; they were comfier and thicker. Also i wish Mizuno sold the insoles for these seperate too, it can really improve other shoes which have lockdown issues. Makes grip socks obsolete for me.
Love the colourway. Definitely my favourite out of the 3 colours. Shame there's no AG version. I have the Alpha 1 FG, but haven't been able to enjoy it properly. It's still too aggressive for AG for me, and like the neo, it has a raised arch so I can't wear unless I change the insoles. Also my toes are rubbing against the upper because of the low volume. Sizing up doesn't work, locked in feeling completely goes away. Interesting how you found it softer, since they added an extra PU layer. Jaymike said it was slightly less soft than the Alpha 1. Also the laces have changed. No-one seems to be mentioning that. Laces on the first one were crap. Eager to try it either way.
Hey Noah, great review as always! I was wondering how much you think a bag of 10 of the same matchballs adds to a training session compared to many different variations? It's very niche and shouldn't matter too much, but I always notice myself adjusting to the ball so I was wondering if it's worth the investment.
It's 100% the best investment you can make (outside of boots that fit your foot). No doubt the best possible thing! Makes such a difference to my sessions. If you're super super keen, use my Mitre discount and you'll get $100s of dollars off when ordering a large quantity. Their top end stuff is 🔥
I will never understand why Mizuno don’t sponsor an up-and-coming talented player in Europe. Someone who can really become synonymous with the brand. They haven’t had that since Hulk. Instead of signing Sergio Ramos, an old defender, why don’t they go in and try and find the most exciting forward players in the Premier League; for example Mbeumo, Isak or even an Amad Diallo level player. And no, Felix again makes no sense as he’s been floating around for years and hasn’t been able to get into any starting XI since his teens. Mizuno if you need some consultation on your marketing, sponsorship and affiliation strategy, I’m here 👋
Hi Noah, What do you think about wearing orthopedic insoles in football boots? Do you wear them on top of the original soles, or do you take the soles out? I’ve been experiencing some sliding in my shoes because the insoles correct my knees to keep them stable. I’ve torn my ACL twice and honestly don’t feel confident playing without them anymore. Do you have any thoughts or advice? By the way, love your content!
You could totally do that if you wanted - just make sure they fit the inside of your football boots! Most of the time boots are a bit more snug than normal shoes. Always always take the default insoles out first. I would consult a doctor or a PT about your ACL mate, I'm neither of those 🤝
Hi noah, nice video! How does the forefoot compare to the alpha 1? I was also very much between sices. True to size was to big and half a size down to small because the forefoot was to narrow. In the morelia neo 4 beta I was able to go down half a size because the forefoot is wide!
@@NoahCavanaugh Amazing boots, you hit the nail on the head -> Zero glide interior, lacing system, exterior carvo plate and upper are premium! BUT it does run 1/2 size big (No different than the others) and it was very uncomfortable due to where the boot bends. Had to exchange mine.
In the Mizuno Alpha Japan 1, I wore a size 10.5, while my usual sneaker size is 11.5. What size would be best for me in the Alpha Japan 2? Also, if I opt for the Elite model instead of the Japan version, would the sizing remain the same?
UK Size 10 here, was thinking of going half a size down on these things, UK 9.5. But given how difficult it sounded to get in, was worried. Had issues with getting proper feeling in the toebox area, so I've turned to these. Would it still be best to go true to size, or go half a size down?
Hey Volky Im curious, is it bc your foot is too wide and you need that half size up for a comfortable fit? For alpha 1 I went true to size and liked the little bit of extra space it had.
Hello i recently ordered a mizuno alpha 1 and its sadly a little to big theres a 2 finger gap at the front i ordered a uk 10 cus my old boot was uk 9,5 and it was snug it was a adidas x crazyfast im thinking of returning the boot and was wondering what size i should get instead ? was thinking maybe uk 9 or uk 9,5 i think i got more narrow feet
Literally no professional is playing in Mizuno Alphas. There was Tijani Reijnders but he switched. In Germany there are some players wearing the Morelia neo. In curious how a boot that performs so well through out every boot specialist is not picked by more professionals
1) Joao Felix just got signed. 2) respectfully, it’s not confusing at all brotha. Mizuno has a fraction of the marketing and sponsorship budget that big brands have, and players pick based on incentives, not quality.
More brands should do what Mizuno does with the small upgrades over a decade
Agreed
Agreed!
Depend on the product if it's already good or just bs

Me too mate, definitely a huge piece of what makes them such a good brand!
Mizuno is a class brand
💯 bro

Thanks mate! And nice! Enjoy the alpha 1
Wow this colour make me want this now, so unreal !!! Cant wait to see you compare this alpha 2 upper with silkywrap from X fly pro 3
So good! Completely different materials with completely different skill sets 😂
I would play football everyday if I have that kind of boots love it😍
Hey Noah, do you know if Mizuno is coming out with another Morelia DNA anytime soon? I heard rumors but I figured you might have an inside source. Keep up the vids
Yh they are, it’s silver base with gold Mizuno logo on the sides. The pics got leaked same time as Alpha 2 pics did 👍
Nice, I missed out on them a few years ago and always wanted a pair
Should be! Will only be regional I would guess though - so Japan and maybe a few other places
So coooooool. Can't wait to get mine on feet!! The colour will be very difficult for me to pull off though. Lovely video.
I'm pumped to read your review! These are SPECIAL...
@NoahCavanaugh Thanks! I'm excited for your one month review!
The video that I was waiting for 🔥
🤝
Best boot on the market! (again, same as 1 gen. )
Fair enough! 🤝
can't wait for the brand new Mizuno morelia neo
Probably will be a while 🤝
Love this! I liked a lot about the original but even as a medium width foot player the fit just wasn’t good enough. Looks like they fixed pretty much all the issues!
Definitely worth the upgrade!
Hi noah great video! Do u think you could do a direct head to head comparison with the alpha 2 vs alpha 1 ? Would be sick!
Maybe mate!
Will you check out the elites as well? In previous generation i liked them better; they were comfier and thicker. Also i wish Mizuno sold the insoles for these seperate too, it can really improve other shoes which have lockdown issues. Makes grip socks obsolete for me.
they do sell the insole separately?
Maybe mate! We'll see 🤝

Thank you for this feedback mate! 🤝
Great video, do you happen to know the launch date for the other colours (silver)?
The silver ones are the Elite model I believe - probably early February

It's because they're competing with brands who have WAYYYY more money bro - it's got nothing to do with the value or quality of their boots!

Mizuno Alpha 2 Japan or Nike Mercurial Vapor 16?
For me? Alpha 2
@ I have GX2 cause i watch your video, now i buy alpha 2 cause i watch your review again, thankyou so much✌🏻
Noah if ur having ur own soccer brand, which soleplate are u gonna use?
Probably something that I make up 😈
@ Ohh sound interesting

It's an almost identical shape to the Alpha 1, with better sizing.
ahaha! 'Mizunofication'! He said it!
🔥
Hey Noah, it looks like that the upper doesn’t seem to have as much grip as the og Alphas, is there a difference or am I just bugging?
Really not that much difference, most people won't be able to tell.
These work fine on AG? Play 60% Ag then FG rest.
Yeah should be alright! Will definitely be aggressive though
Ordered
Nice 👍

Vapor 16 or mizuno alpha 2?
Depends what fits YOU better mate!
In the Mizuno Alpha Japan 1, I wore a size 10.5, while my usual sneaker size is 11.5. What size would be best for me in the Alpha Japan 2? Also, if I opt for the Elite model instead of the Japan version, would the sizing remain the same?
10.5 mate 🤝 yep!

I'd go true to size with this new gen
Do you know if an ag version will be released ?
Yes! Should be soon - but probably in a different colorway
Good for wide feet, or nah?
Did you watch the video mate?
how much lighter between alpha 2 and the alpha elite
Yeah a weight comparison would've been interesting. These seem thicker from the review
About the same mate, in typical Mizuno fashion they haven't changed much
Is the fit true to size ? The alpha 1’s ran a little long in the toe box
Did you watch the video Mike? I literally talk about that in the on feet portion 😂
I need these in TF
💯
Eye of Horus 😮
👀
Mike from Unisport said that the upper of these stiffer than the first generation
Slightly "stiffer", but they mold better
These are good for ag?
A bit aggressive, but I don't mind them 🫡
these are my current boots, i have had no problem with them on ag at all, they’re amazing boots
Am I the only one who cannot wear them true to size? 😢
😞
Hey Volky Im curious, is it bc your foot is too wide and you need that half size up for a comfortable fit?
For alpha 1 I went true to size and liked the little bit of extra space it had.
@1771soccerstar Maybe. I'm curious because I had more comfortable fit with Alpha 1.
Are the Mizuno alpha elites good for slim narrow feet?
V1 better than V2 for slim feet im pretty sure.
They'll be just fine mate 🤝
