In April 2021 we "celebrated" the one-year anniversary of Omens - an album we never had a chance to play live yet. We decided to film a short live set to celebrate that anniversary and also give fans a chance to 'preview' the material live.
Recorded between Germany and Massachusetts (where band members reside), the session was mixed by Richard Behrens at Big Snuff Studio in Berlin. Liquid light visuals and editing magic by Palantir Visuals.
Thanks to Zukunft am Ostkreuz for making the filming of this possible.

Sometimes I go down to the beach near my house at sunset . listen to music .drink some beer, light a fire and at some point between twilight and dusk this song comes on and I am right with the world
My less glamorous equivalent is sitting on my fourth floor balcony, cigar in hand and a killer sunset meandering between the downtown apartments.

I mean, if the last three minutes have lasted 10 more minutes, I would have still say that it wasn't long enough. This last part is magnificent.

Elder could make a whole EP with songs based around riffs from the last 1-2 minutes of several of their songs. Lore, Sanctuary, Halcyon, and a few others build up to amazing final sequences, and then fade out after a minute. I love what they do, but sometimes I just want more of THAT.
I am so intrigued about where they are goIng as a band. Their abilities as songwriters is unmatched.
They're alright. It's simple and generic stoner rock, certainly not "unmatched."

In 2020 a great old friend of me committed suicide and left me devastated, depressed and thoughtful. She was the only person I knew who was so passionate about Elder, she sang beautifully and was able to spectacularly play dead roots and lore songs on drums. Many times she talked about how great it would be to see Elder live, and now she is gone, but rediscovering Omens has been a way to ease the pain.
I feel sry for you Bro. I hope you will see elder live and in you heart she is with you!

Elder live is really great. I'd recommend to try to see them if possible.
Seen them live in 2022 and 2023. Both tours they played this song and it absolutely crushes.

This Band has become the stuff of mythical legendary status! This tripped out clip of Halcyon and the album Omens, is the beast I hoped that someone, someday could possibly rival The Mars Volta’s “ De-Loused in the Comatorium”!
Which I regarded as My greatest album of all time! Especially with the story Cedric made to go with it!
But Elder can take music to all those wonderful heights you always Dream of!
At the 11.25 min mark of this clip of Halcyon, the Band go to a place that’s other worldly! Into the heavens!
That riff man! And all those accompanying fills that follow, and Nicks epic gun barrel soloing, make me Want to just listen to that over and over for days!
And it’s soooo friggin amazing to hear all the wonderful comments below, also stating how mind blowing that ending is! Great minds think alike! Say No more!

This song was an epic finale on the Desertfest Berlin last weekend! The song and the whole gig sent me on a trip, i was high on music. Especially the surround-ish sound of the last part embraced my soul deeply that day. Truly magnificent, thank you for that experience! ♥

I used to not like Elder, I just didn’t get them. Then in 2020 they released Omens. I was hooked. Could not stop playing that album. Granted, I had seen them live numerous times prior to that release but still didn’t click until Omens. Needless to say, I can’t get enough of these gentlemen.

When you first dropped Omens I heard it a couple times and hated it.
My sincere apologies, I have never been more wrong in my life...
Omens is on loop for 1 month now and is truly a masterpiece!

I am such a "Reflections" and "Gold &Silver" head so I was a bit on the fence about it when released, maybe even disappointed. This record grows for sure. I should have known that they are always ahead of the curve.
I wouldn't say that I hated it but I can relate. At first I was disappointed because it doesn't feature as heavy guitar riffs as "Reflections..." or "Lore" and higher mixed vocals. But after some weeks It grew on me. I really like this record but "Reflection..." stays my favorite one and "Lore" my second favorite.

But to be honest, I'd put all of them on the same level. They're all equally amazing in their own right. But the soundscapes of the latter ones are truly awesome
